Quality Door Service

We called on a Saturday morning right at 8:00 a.m. and left a message. They called back within 10 minutes and said they could be here between noon and 2:00. They called 30 minutes prior to their arrival to let us know they were on their way (which was within time frame provided). Upon arrival, they immediately went to work and were done within 30 minutes! In addition to fixing the door so it would shut again, they tuned up the garage door opener and it runs smoother and more quiet than ever before! They also worked on getting the dents out so it looks good from the street. They accepted credit cards which was very convenient. We would definitely recommend them to anyone and use their services again in the future.

They don't work on the brand of garage door I have.

I really liked them, they were really cool because I wasn't sure-I didn't think there was anything wrong with my garage door but then one day, it wasn't working well. And so, when they came over, they said there was nothing wrong with my door that they could put a little oil or whatever it is around, and they said they were going to give me $59 back-that was impressive. They also seem to be honest.

Mr. Myers and one other technician not only replaced the torsion spring on our garage door (if you have one, it's a large coil that sits above the inside of the door, parallel to it) for less than other quotes I'd gotten, they did it quickly and had a friendly, understanding demeanor. If you've never heard the torsion spring on a garage door break, it sounds (at best) like a large caliber gun was fired in your garage. We heard that sound after midnight and it frightened us pretty badly. So, after a rough night, it was very reassuring to us that Quality Door Services got to our home so promptly, finished the work *fast*, did not charge an arm and a leg, backed up the work with a one-year warranty, and then gave us instructions for extending the life of the torsion spring. Quality Door Services did a great job for us, and we'd recommend them to anyone for garage door repair.

Used the Angie's List deal of $99 to get my garage doors serviced. The deal included replacing the wheels as well which was a nice bonus. One of our doors mysteriously had not worked in quite a while. But since we had a car "stored" on that side and I didn't really need to raise that door remotely, I hadn't bothered to fixed that side until the car was no longer being stored. The company followed up and confirmed the appt twice. Once to confirm the time, then the day before as a reminder. I appreciated this level of communication. The service guy was right on time. He troubleshooted the door that was not working. There was apparently a loose electrical connection at the control box by the back door. He fixed this. The reason could have been several options so I was relieved he found and fixed the problem. He also cleaned up the doors by removed grime from around the mechanisms, replaced the wheels with higher quality ones than were on there originally, greased the appropriate areas and replaced the batteries in the remote controls. I thought this was an excellent value for 2 doors and would use them again. Nice cheerful service guy.

Could not schedule for 3 months and I need this done sooner.

There were no troubles with scheduling and no additional costs. They arrived right on time to the appointment. They came out and replaced the rollers and completed the tune-up in a good amount of time. They did a good job and everything was fine.

We were given option to repair or replace and the cost involved with each repair. We decided to replace garage door opener due to ours being over 12 years old. I originally purchased the "tune up" deal for $99.00 but knew I would need additional service with the foreclosure home I just purchased. There was a bit of confusion regarding where to do the work (because I didn't have my new home listed on the purchase) but Bob took excellent care of me and the garage doors are working perfectly when he was finished. Bob didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need but only warned me that my two openers were getting older and that I might need to replace them soon. The rollers didn't need to be replaced so instead of charging me for all three remotes he only charged me for 2. Oh and the garage he was working in was kind of scary - empty since May. He did a wonderful job and didn't complain about the scary cobwebs all over the place. I would HIGHLY recommend Quality Door Service to anyone and everyone. The original garage door opener failed (trolly on screw drive opener) a week before my interaction with Quality Door Services. I purchased and installed a new belt drive door opener on Saturday (9/13). During this process i noticed that the door was difficult to open manually (heavy). I searched for a garage door serving company and found Quality Door Service and sent them an email on 9/14 thru Angie's List describing the situation. Within 3 hours Bob responded to my message and asked me to contact him by phone to discuss my problem. During the call, Bob explained that the current single spring could not be "tightened" and that it should be removed and replaced by two new springs. We set a service time for 5:00 pm the following day (9/15). Shawn, the service tech, arrived about 5-min to 5:00 and was working on the door within 10 minutes. It was amazing watching him remove the old spring and install the two new ones. This took less than 15-min. As part of the service the old rollers on the were removed and new "professional grade" poly rollers were installed. During the testing of the installation Shawn adjusted the opener to account for the new springs. As a final touch he applied lubricant to the door rails, hinges, and springs. All told, this took about 30-min. The result was a smoothly operating garage door. Throughout the installation process, Shawn and I engaged in general discussions on garage doors and other various topics. He was very friendly and seemed to love his job despite the relatively high number of calls he worked prior to addressing my issue. Prior to cleaning up, he described key maintenance items i should take to ensure the door remained in top shape. All the work was completed with 45-mins. I have already told my coworkers about my experience and will continue to recommend Quality Door Services to others.

Sean was great. He came within the time that the company set for us. Called ahead. Friendly and informed us about what happened, what needed to be repaired, and the cost. He knew exactly what to do and within 15 minutes or so door was back working. I would definitely recommend this company and use again.

Top Notch Service! DM (Technician) Called about 15 minutes before showing up, and let me know he was on his way. I explained what the problem was, and he knew right away what the cause was. I opened the garage door and he said, "Yep, rollers and a tune up will fix that no problem." He asked how I heard about them, and when I said Angie's List, he said great, we have a special, only 100$. Perfect. It only took him about 25 minutes, and my garage was back to being whisper quiet, no squeaks, rattling, shaking, or anything. He adjusted the track and gave me some tips on how to take care of it in the future. GREAT SERVICE! Will use again without hesitation.

The service went well. They were very responsive and easy to schedule. I paid an additional fee to replace the springs on the door. The technician was happy to show me why the springs needed replaced. One technician came out and completed the job in about 45 minutes. He was prompt and came on time to the appointment. He seemed knowledgeable and was an efficient worker.

They are great to work with. One of the technicians had been here two years prior. The two men looked at the garage door. They informed me a few hinges were broken which was why it was making a noise. They said our regular service call is $89 and to replace the hinges is $5 each so I wouldn't owe them anything. I asked a few more questions and we agreed to have them change all of the hinges and I would pay the additional cost. They did a great job and my garage door is working perfectly. They were really honest about my motor and garage door, explaining if one of them breaks I wouldn't have to replace the entire motor or door but rather just a part or panel.

I signed up for a promotional replacement and inspection deal thru Angie's list on Sunday afternoon after discovering my garage door was broken. Early Monday morning I called the number on the promotional receipt and got Bob right away. I sent him some photos of my door via text and he called me right back. Told me I had a proprietary system and needed a Wayne Dalton service guy. He could only convert my system and it would cost more. I checked online and on phone and got the runaround from the other company. Since I needed this fixed I called back to Bob and told him to do the more expensive conversion and replacement. He promised today and his guy was at the house around 1:45. It was completed by about 3:15. Works very well. Much quieter than the old system. I settled with Bob over the phone and he extended the Angie's list discount to the whole job. He was more than fair. They did good work. They arrived on time and finished a lot faster than I'd expected. You can't get any better than this.

Fantastic. Came on 24 hour notice. work took one hour. Gave tips on how to maintain and left a sticker with number so that I can call him for other issues that he may be able to address over the phone free of charge. Would use for all garage related issues.

The Service Tech, DM, arrived prompt and early on a Saturday morning. He was very courteous and professional. He made me feel comfortable as he explained how to take care of the garage door in the future. DM had the door working again in no time. He quickly changed the spring and metal rollers that were on the garage door with new springs and nylon rollers. He explained what he was doing, and he answered all of my questions with no problems. Also, he gave me some tips about maintaining the garage door, and he told me why his company uses two springs instead of just one. Honestly, I was surprised at how quickly he had everything changed and installed. I appreciated the time he took to answer my questions and to explain how to maintain the garage door properly. Additionally, as DM explained, the garage door is much quieter with the new casters. I was glad to get the garage door working again, and I was very happy that I used QUALITY DOOR SERVICE.
