Description of Work: Bob is great. He came out and looked at our door that was making noise. All we needed was lubricant. I felt bad paying only $20 for his time. But, he gained my trust, and I will use him again.

Description of Work: The garage door was crooked and could not be raised or lowered. He replaced the rollers. and now the door runs smoothly. He also replaced the garage door opener per request since I knew this was broken. Would certainly use this company again

Description of Work: repair electic garage door opener

Description of Work: One of the cable lines and a spring broke on one of my double garage doors. Owner of company replaced springs on both doors and suggested adding safety cable lines on both doors after I expressed concern about dangers of heavy springs breaking. He also explained importance of adding spray oil to doors. Got Angie's List discount. He was professional, knowlegeable and offered a competitive price. Best of all, he came out on Labor Day! So far garage doors have worked perfectly. I will definitely use Quality Door Service again.

Description of Work: Although my garage door worked it did not go up and down smoothly, but jumped and bounced as it went up. Mr. Myers was very thorough in his efforts to repair the door and made several adjustments. Unfortunately he was not able to fix the problem; diagnosing the problem as a defective circuit board. He honestly stated he did know what else could be wrong and stated that the best solution was to replace the entire opener because of the age of the unit and the cost of a circuit board replacement. Since the door still worked, just not smoothly, he stated I could think about the course of action. He spend at least a half an hour of his time yet charged nothing. I viewed this as extremely honest. A less honest person could have absolutely stated that only immediate replacement of the entire unit was the solution. I will consider the alternatives, including replacement, but will certainly consider this firm for the job.

Description of Work: Installed new garage door opener, with back-up battery and manual release. Oiled door.

Description of Work: Garage door was not opening at all. Apparently garage doors need to be oiled, and we haven't done that in at least 5 years-I didn't know they needed oil. Bob quickly oiled the chains, and the doors now worked better than before (it isn't as loud). Bob just charged the service charge of approx. $50.
