Robert's team was professional and very courteous. If they were behind, they relayed the information to me. He stood by his word and did the things that needed fixing. He had no problem in seeing my concerns and addressing them. I would highly recommend Robert and his team. I felt his honest approach and discussions helped me find a perfect solution. These guys are experienced and very professional. It was obvious from the detailed questions they asked on the first visit, that they were thinking ahead on how to address installation obstacles that the other bidders did not even notice. Robert and his team, (a family operation) put it all in, got it all programmed and even had it working on our computers, TV's and phones in very short order. I was, and still am, very impressed with the picture quality on the cameras. Protech was the high bidder as they were the only company to quote an all digital system, but seeing the quality, there is no question, this was the right decision. It is awesome to be able to look at your phone and see live video of your house while you are away. It is also great to be able to search the video files to find what or who caused a disturbance in the middle of the night. Since the installation, a couple of technical problems have come up including a malfunctioning camera and a cell phone app that did not work after an upgrade. In each instance Robert responded very quickly to my call and had us up and running again with minimal hassle. Protech Communications customer service is very good. I can highly recommend this company.

It was absolutely excellent. They were punctual, neat, clean, and knowledgeable. They were good at returning calls. They have been very responsive with any "hick-ups" that I have had. I would use them again in the future. I was extremely impressed.

I do not think I could have had a better experience, and I will definitely use them again when next I need an installation. They are dependable and will go the extra mile to please the customer. The project went amazingly well. Two very professional, well-spoken pleasant techs arrived on time paid close attention to what I wanted to achieve with one rather tricky location and another heavy one. No drama, no head scratching, no waffling around figuring out what to do. Went straight to it, had the both jobs done in under 2 hours and left me with solid, safe wall mounts that will probably outlast the house. I'm so glad to know about this company for when I need security and home theater type things done. They're good.

Bought a deal thru Angie's List for a mount and wire conceal, and had them come out for that work. They responded via e-mail promptly for scheduling and for appointment, and completed the work in a timely and professional manner. I also had them take a look at other work needing completion and they had a quote to me within 48 hours. I recently had them come out for that work, and again was completed promptly and they did a good job! They know their business, are easy to talk to, and educated on various options and additions for products for home AV and automation.

It went well. They were a little late, but not terrible. The work was performed quickly. There were parts needed that I was unaware would be needed and instead of having to run out and get them, they brought extra parts along. I of course had to pay for them but the work was completed more quickly by them bringing the needed parts. The one thing I would change... Our tv is mounted on the wall above a media chest and we wanted the cords hidden in the wall. The holes for the components in the media chest are at the top in the back of the chest. They hid the cords in the wall as asked, but drilled holes for the cords to come back out of the wall about 2 feet from the ground, matching where the media chest holes are. This is fine as long as we keep this piece of furniture. However, if we get new furniture or move, the cords are now coming out of the wall two feet up instead of near the floor where the cable jack and electrical outlets are. They didn't ask where I wanted the hole, and if they had I would have paid more to use a longer cord and put the hole closer to the floor, where it's not in the middle of the wall. For now, it's fine. I was happy with the quality of the work, just wish I had been consulted on the cord placement.

The people at Protech Communications are wonderful, wonderful people. They also did landscaping for us. We liked the quality of their work and their friendliness. They're family owned and just very, very pleasant. They're easy to live in your home, because they live in your home for awhile. You have to be able to feel comfortable around them and safe. I'd adopt them, if I could.

We used Protech Communications. They were a super company. It was early February. They were great. I would highly recommend them. We spent $500. My husband was very happy with them and it was a great value for what they gave you. (Husband now on phone) They came out on time, and left quickly and the bill was as exactly as they said it would be. Nice guy, everyone was fine. Pleasant guy to work with.

Called to schedule media room installation at the end of January as a surprise for my husband's late February birthday. Robert managed to fit it into his schedule and mine without making my husband aware of a thing. He recommended the equipment, bought and installed it. My son is a computer geek (works for a software company) and was impressed with the job they did when he flew in for my husband's birthday. Everything worked perfectly once Comcast corrected the error they made in the type of box they gave us. Robert was also very good at giving instructions to those of us who are technology challenged on how to use it.

Highly recommend - they exceeded my expectations, and had some great ideas that I hadn't considered. A+

The guys that came to do the work were very helpful, knowledgeable, polite and worked quickly. They did a great job and we would definitely use them again (and probably will, soon.) There was a hiccup with getting things scheduled, but nothing to complain about.

Overall it was excellent. The workers were a few minutes late but texted me to tell me they were running just a little behind. Both installers were polite, well mannered, and the installation went very well. Installation was excellent. I also purchased the wall holder from them. They cleaned up after themselves and moved a piece of furniture back into place. I was overall very satisfied with the installation and would use this company again.

After a delay of a week or 2 received quote that was higher than that of another vendor, so didn't use Protech. Beyond that, they were professional & pleasant to work with.

We cant wait to get started on the next project.

I called Protech after reading the positive reviews on Angies List. This was the 4th estimate I received for my home AV install. I spoke with Robert who was very personable and professional and we set a time for him to come out to my home for the estimate. I am a very punctual person and expect the same from those I deal with. On our first meeting Robert was about 45 minutes late and this raised concern for me if I wanted to hire someone who was late for our first meeting. However, after meeting Robert and talking over the project I was ready for him to start the job ASAP. Robert and his team are very professional and will put you at ease if you have any concerns on the work being done in your home. The entire project was completed in about 4 days and I am very satsatisfied with the outcome. However, the guys doing the install were late every day of the project. They would tell me the were going to start work the next day at around 8AM and they never showed up before 930ish. We love the media room and the job the guys did was above our expectations. However, a few days after the completion of the project I requested for a few changes to be done to the initial set up. I thought this would be a very simple adjustment of moving my blue ray from the family room to the media room and a few adjustments of the universal remote. This process took over 3 hours at $75 an hour. The guys who were working on the job this day did not seem to have any sense of urgency. I am not sure if this is because they were getting paid by the hour, but this is the feeling I was left with. Overall...A good job...A-

I called Robert after I started having problems with another company I initially contracted with. I was having a party on Sunday and the other company failed to perform the work on Friday as scheduled. Robert came out at 10pm on Friday, gave me an estimate that night, and performed the work Saturday in time for my party the next day. They did a great job with everything and I plan to hire them to do my home security system soon.

We were referred to Pro-Tech thru another vendor. We called Robert Jaurez the owner who made an appointment and showed up promptly. We explained exactly what we wanted. He understood, explained the technology to us and provided us with an estimate within 24 hours. Others we had contacted failed to act promptly so we contracted with him for the work. They began immediately with the installation which took several days as it was a very involved system. The installed speakers in ceilings, mounted TVs and worked directly with the Direct TV provider in order to achieve a smooth transition between their work and Direct TV. After the preliminary debugging of the digital controls the system performs flawlessly. We also added a contract for 6500.00 to control the landscape and security lighting using the Control 4 interface. Our neighbors also contracted with them for security camera work. I think it was a good job. It is similar to our old system in another house with additional controls and the price while not cheap is very close to what we spend for the same capabilities 4 years ago. I would recommend Robert Jaurez and Pro-Tech for anyone wanting high capability audio visual systems.

We used Protech (found it on a website service search) almost two years ago when we had our home-theater system installed. The owner, Robert Juarez performed just exactly the job we wanted. He installed speakers in the ceiling and set us up equipment-wise. Everything was neat and attractive and the system has performed beautifully. However, a month or so ago, our remote began to dysfunction. We called Robert and after agreeing to a service date, he was, as before, very punctual and professional. This particular report pertains to the second service: the replacement of our remote (out of warranty). Once again, he worked expediently and went over the usage of the new remote. Robert's company is rather new and he had never heard of Angie's List. Because he has served us well for all of our needs, I wanted to add his company to the list.
