Protech Communications

Had a scheduled appointment with them at 9 at my house. At 9:15 I called them. They said they were still 45 min away. And said we had an appointment between 9-10. That was not told to me. I am not sure I will reschedule. Why can't anyone do what they say they will do!!!

Overall did a very good job. Prices were fair. There were some bugs to work through but they came back many times to make sure everything worked to our satisfaction.

Robert and his team were fantastic. They ran into a couple of unforeseen issues and worked their way thru it until everything was working properly. His team was very professional and courteous when coming in and out of my home. The functionality of the system is fantastic. Highly recommend them.

Its gone pretty well. They come on time and do the job.. They could do a little better job on cleanup but all in all they are pretty good.

Went great would use these guys again.

It is super easy to use and a lot of cool technological features. You can find these in a lot of security companies but they have stuff of their own.

from the very beginning, robert was a professional. he arrived on time to survey my house. he spent three or four hours evaluating what i would need, even though he did not have the contract yet. his price was very fair, when compared to others i had interviewed. robert was very creative in getting my project completed. there were difficulties in trying to place all of the hardware and robert was able to figure out a solution. robert and his crew showed up on time to start the project. they came every day until the work was completed. robert was very flexible when it came to adding options that were not included in the original plans. even after my project has been completed, robert continues to be responsive to my queries. he and his crew have come numerous times after the fact, to correct things that are not working as planned. the only problem i encountered was that his crew did not clean after themselves very well. there was dust leftover where holes had been drilled. overall, i highly recommend robert and his crew, based on their professionalism, their competitive rates, and their eagerness to finish a project correctly. i plan on using them again.

Robert spent about 1 to 1 1/2 hours helping me with my routers and all kinda of stuff and never charged a dime. He was extremely courteous, professional, patient (with my questions), and just overall an AWESOME DUDE! I will ABSOLUTELY be using him again & RECOMMEND him to any and all needing home technology work!!

Robert did a great job installing my system, was professional, and I would recommend his company to anyone. Next up I am waiting on him to install a home automation control system.

My wife and I were so happy to have come in contact with Robert from protech. We had been dealing with the communication company which was used by the builder of our home and they were totally unresponsive and untimely. It was ironic that they finally contacted us via e-mail the night before Protech was to do our agreed upon install, they took two weeks to get back to us. This was not the case with Robert, once he contacted me, we discussed what I wanted and submitted an initial proposal. The first proposal had all of the bells and whistles, but I discussed my budget with Robert with the emphasis on having a particular projector. Robert came back with a great trade off on equipment to give us the most bang for the buck. The price was right and we agreed to proceed with the project. Mind you Robert and his coworker (I believe Eddie) drove from Houston, where Protech Communication is located. They arrived a little bit late but called before the agreed schedule to let me know they were on the way. Once they arrived, Robert took a look at the media room, attic and area. He showed me the equipment to be installed and explained in detail all that was to be done.. They went to work and worked diligently running the wiring for the media room, checking with me on the placement of the speakers and all. They worked all day because the room had to be completely re-wired. After all was done, there was a problem with the DVD player and Robert went out to purchase a replacement. The DVD still did not work, but had to have the software up dated which they did on the spot. After all was complete Robert made sure the speaker sound was balanced and provided a demonstration of all components (wii, Xbox, Apple TV,and universal remote) and most importantly the projection system and amp. They installed the TV in the family room and set the wiring up for the cable company. After Robert and Eddie left we received a text from Robert asking if we were happy with with the install, and thanking us for the opportunity as well as letting us know that he is just a call away if we need any help with anything. This was a truly professional company, which starts with it's people. Because of Protech Communication's outstanding customer service, my wife and I have renewed hope in using contractors and now know there are companies out there that care about what they do, and will go the extra mile to give you the very best service...even if they have to drive from Houston.

They are awesome people. Like any hi-tech equipment, it goes out every now and then, and I will send them an email, and I will receive an email within an hour on how to fix it myself. A couple times, we have had wifi issues, and equipment failure, and they came right out. The customer service is much higher than expected. They were the highest bidder, but they were the only ones willing to supply 100% digital products.

In my search for stereo equipment and services, I found Robert and Protech Communications through Angie's List. I set out to do my homework and have multiple bids for comparison; I contacted multiple other companies for similar services, and I found Robert to be professional as he educated me on the options for audio / visual equipment and on home automation. He came out to my home to evaluate my needs, he was knowledgeable and had ideas and recommendations for me immediately. I could tell he had passion for his product, and showed me some of the cool things Control 4 (home automation system) could do. He followed up with a formal estimate on equipment and services as promised, and called to follow up a few times to answer any questions. I first hired him and his crew to mount a 60" tv, surround sound system, and Control 4 in one of my rooms. Later, I contracted him again to install a wall mounted screen and ceiling mounted projector for my home theater room, as well as a second surround sound system for the family room. Robert and his crew are very professional and attentive to their customer's needs. Regarding prices, he is competitive with retail store prices. My experience has been positive with Protech. I will certainly contract them again in the future.

Security Installation went extremely well. Work was neat, clean and reliable. Home Automation and room enclosure went extremely well. Made several trips back to fix some quirks with existing audio controller and existing wiring. Attic storage room was quick with good craftsmanship. Sound system and responsive to calls with questions and instructions. Very, very happy and will call them back in for other work in the future.

He came to see what needed in the house and communicated that he will let us know how much it costs. he never replied back, when i called Robert, he said he is going to give me all the details and planning to do early next week. Bottom Line: Waste of your time, as you are not sure whether he is going to work on the problem or not, If you have lot of time ( At least couple of weeks) to wait please try him if not you know what to do, Thanks, Madhu

I made an appt for that someone can come to give me an estimate. The appt was for Sat 3/1/14 between 9 and 9:30 am. I asked how will I know your coming, he said that someone would call me when they are on the way. By 9:15 am no one had called, so I called and spoke to Robert the person I had made the appt with. I identify myself and he tells me what time was I suppose to be there and I told him. He said well I have a job that went over from yesterday and I have to go back today to finish, he could make out to my house between 12 noon and 1:00 pm. I told him that I had a sick pet and needed to take it to the vet. I would call him when I was able to reschedule. I thought about it and decided not use this company. I was very disappointed in the way this was handled. There was no courtesy in calling to let me know about delay or rescheduling the appt. much less for my time.

I would like to thank Robert and his crew for working on this project for our new home. Robert was extremely helpful in giving us recommendations based on our needs and likes. The project did take longer than expected but it's more important for me to get things right instead of rushing to complete. In the end, we are very happy with the results and will hopefully get years of enjoyment from it. Protech was very easy to work with and was very accomodating when I wanted extra services during the process. These guys are professionals at their craft and will definitely use them again in the future. Thanks.

After a frustrating experience with Best Buy, these guys solved the problem, were helpful, friendly and willing to listen and help.

From the very first consultation for a bid, to the follow up appointment on the system, Robert goes above and beyond to meet the clients' expectations. We contacted Protech for a system installation of a security system as well as entertainment and home automation for a new home build. He met me at our existing house, listened to all we wanted in a system and turned a bid around within 48 hours. Always on time, always great with communicating, Robert and his team were professional and knowledgeable. The team worked seamlessly alongside our builder and his crew. He continues to make himself available even after the completion of the job for questions about the system. In total, Protech installed a whole house sound system with 8 zones of music control, 2 tv installations, 8 security cameras with complete automation with our smart phones/tablets. Amazing. Seriously, as a music junkie this is the best system ever. Not to mention, I feel so completely secure in knowing that our hd videos are recording and are personally monitored by us on our phones, and any alarms go directly to our local constable that would respond in minutes. I can't say enough good things about our experience with Protech.

Purchased 2 "Big Deal" coupons to have 2 TV's mounted. The two guys arrived on time and got the job done fast. They were polite and knew what they were doing. The two TV's look great. I would use them again.

They showed up on time. By the end of the install all of our systems were working with each other.

It took a few trips to get the install correct. Needed an out of the box solution which the saleperson came over and provided. They were very responsive and professional. Advertisement was a bit misleading in that my expectations were all wires were to be concealed. In the end the saleperson came up with a solution that worked. I would recommend to someone, but with the caveat that you will need to purchase extra supplies and also maybe not be able to conceal everything.

Robert and the Protech Communications guys yet again did a great job for me. Very professional, courteous and respectful bunch that cater to you, the customer. Protech installed good looking dome security cameras around my home that work at night as well. They also matched that with a DVR recorder so I could playback recorded video on my TV's at my convenience. The system works flawlessly with my home automation. I will continue to use Protech communications for future audio/video and alarm/security work at my home in the future. Robert earns your business the old fashioned way.

Robert and his son Robert came out the same day I called. He sent me a proposal in a very timely manor letting me delete some items and add some. After accepting the proposal via a phone conversation Robert and his "able" crew were at our home the same week. It took several trips to complete the job, which was understandable. They were very polite worked fast and cleaned up after themselves. Robert was very helpful and anxious to please. We were more then satisfied with Protech and will use them again. I highly recommend Robert Juarez and Protech Communications Inc.

Wouldn't use them again. The two technicians that arrived were really, really fast, but not helpful and certainly not responsive. It was obvious that it was the end of the day and they were just in a rush to get in and out. i told them I had the TV and speaker bar. The didn't install the speaker bar. i didn't even bother calling them back, the experience was not good. So, I ended up paying someone else $100 to take it down and re-hang it with the speaker bar. If they had done what they were supposed to it would've been fine, as they knew what they were doing and installed the mount very well. Unfortunately, their rush to get off work left me a non-returning customer.
