Very well. I would highly recommend Robert Sr. Very easy to work with and super efficient.

My husband talked with the owner of Protech Communications (Robert) explaining what equipment we have and what we needed from him (both for the current need and future ongoing servicing of our Home Theatre), and Robert confirmed they could do the work and asked my husband to send him a text with details about our Home Theatre system and our needs. My husband spent a fair amount of time and effort complying with that request and submitting the information Robert requested. Robert never bothered to call us back. Not a phone call or response text in any manner at all. We initially thought he was just busy and would get to us when he could; but it's been 2 months since we first contacted him, so I guess he didn't need or want our business. We would have appreciated the courtesy of being told he didn't want our business rather than wasting so much time and effort on him and then having to hire a different company who did want our business.

I bought a house with existing outdoor video cameras. I contacted ProTech on a Friday morning and they had a crew there within 2 hours to look at the work that needed to be done. The owner got me a quote the next business day. The estimate was reasonable based on the work that needed to be done. I agreed to the estimate and the crew come out the following Monday (it was even the 4th of July!). The two man team were honest, professional and did not try to do any cheesy up-selling. The did the work and answered every question I had about it. I will use Protech on any future projects on my home.

ProTech Communications did a great job with setting up our home theater and audio systems. They were punctual, professional, and responsive. I found Protech Communications on Angie'sList...They responded quickly to my request for a quote...performed the estimated work in a timely manner..and keep coming back to answer my questions. I am not very savvy with electronic equipment and they are very accommodating. They are the best service providers I've ever used. They also do alarm systems, home cameras, etc.

Robert (owner) and his crew did an awesome job installing my new TV with a wall mount and in wall wiring. He was the only company that even answered the phone, in fact he is always readily available. I would expect someone who advertises they work in Austin to actually work in Austin. This is a Houston company that is only considering doing huge jobs in Austin to make it worth their while to come here.

When I was searching for quotes, Protech by far provided the best customer service experience. My phone message was promptly returned and I was able to get a home visit and quote on the same day I initially called. They worked within my budget and provided me with quality equipment. I initially planned to have 2 TVs mounted and to have my media room completed with a projector, screen, and audio equipment. The work was scheduled and completed by two very knowledgeable and professional service guys as planned. A week after my media room was complete, I called Protech back and requested the control 4 system. Robert with Protech was very helpful and had me on the schedule within a few days. I have recommended Protech to friends that have already used them for their media installs and I plan to use them for my future projects. My family and I are very pleased with the services provided by Protech and we recommend them without reservation.

Early April, I called Protech communication to get an estimate for installation of 9 security cameras. Robert Jr. came later that same day. He gave me a quote of $120/camera before 5% from Angie's list. I agreed to that price and he said he would send the proposal in writing the next day via email. A week later I didn't received anything, I called them back and Robert Sr. took down my email address and said they would send right away. Few days later I still didn't receive anything and I called them again. Robert Sr. said Robert Jr. already sent the proposal but maybe to the wrong email address. He verified my email address and everything was correct. Still didn't see anything until the third time I called, Robert Sr. told me to text my email address to his phone and after that I finally received the proposal which was not what we agreed in the first place. I emailed them back with the original quote that he gave me and then they corrected the proposal. I asked them to schedule the installation on Saturday and they said I had to pay $200 extra which was not mentioned when we met. Then I requested to schedule on weekdays but it had to be after May 21st. They never communicated to me which day they would come to install the cameras. In the morning of May 22nd, when I was about to leave, 2 people came and said they were scheduled to install the cameras at my house. I was surprised and told them nobody told me about the schedule and I had to leave at that moment and wouldn't be back until afternoon. After talking to their boss on the phone they told me they would call me back to schedule another time. I never heard anything from them for a few weeks. Later I called them back and left a message asking them when they can come. Never heard from them. Few weeks passed by, I called them again and left a message but still haven't heard from them. I guess they don't want the job anymore so I stop calling them. To me that's unacceptable for a company that has good rating on Angie's list. Now I start wondering if the rating is real.

They did a great job of concealing all cabling behind walls - their installers were both friendly and knowledgeable and did a perfect job. I would highly recommend them.

Working with Robert (and his son) has been great. They installed a custom system in our home, including a great home theater. Robert did all the design, purchased the equipment and did the installation - very professional at every step of the process. Our system was truly turn-key. He finished the job, and everything worked as promised. The guts of the system are hidden away, so we have a technologically advanced system, but it does not interfere with the decor. More importantly, the service after the sale has been great. For the few problems that have cropped up over the past 18 months, Robert is readily accessible. Most recently, our house suffered a near-lightening strike, which destroyed our garage door opener and other electronics. Thanks to Robert's obsessive attention to surge protection, our entertainment system survived with minimal damage. I could not be more pleased with Protech Communications.

It went really well and rather efficiently. Guys are friendly. Even though they were on the more expensive side of the bid, they DEFINITELY knew what they were doing and what they were advising. The owner, Robert, is very experienced and professional guy. You always pay more for good quality service and so overall I am very pleased with the work they have done.

From the beginning, when I contacted Mr. Juarez asking questions about a residential camera security system, he was very professional. He was patient in answering my questions and even provided input. I met with his son, Robert, who was just as professional and informative. Robert showed me how the camera system would look on my I-Phone, and how to operate the system from the phone. Robert was just as patient and informative as his father. As an older person, I was very impressed with the professionalism and personality of both Mr. Juarez and his son. I know of no other way to describe them, but THEY ARE JUST NICE PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH. The installation went just as smooth. Robert Jr., showed up with his crew-Jarrod and Eddie, ( I hope I have their names right), and they were just as patient as Mr. Juarez and Robert, Jr. I was not present during the install, but my wife and daughter were. They relayed to me how nice they all were during the install. In fact, Robert Jr., even called me during the install to update me on what was transpiring. In short, I cannot say enough good things about the people from Protech Communications! They are very professional, thorough and nice people to deal with!

The service provider was very courteous and the work was done very well and clean. The pricing was OK but quality of work is good. It also took a while for service provider to resolve some of the issues I was having after the installation was done. But overall, service provider was very courteous, knowledgeable and products work REALLY well.

Went very well although we are currently working with them to schedule an appointment to come back to finish the cabinet work.

ProTech was a joy to work with... They bid quickly, installed quickly and continue to service the install to tweak things to our liking. I would use them again and would recommend fully to all with A/V or Automated Home needs.

It went very well. It took them only 2 days to install. Very professional and very detailed. They trained us on how to use the controls for our surround sound. Polite and great company to do business with.
