Precision Garage Door of Houston

Fine. It was several years ago. I don't remember all the details, and there is no point in my guessing. If you don't like this review, don't use it.

The day after I called, the technician was at my house, and the day after that, the doors were installed. Both technicians were professional and courteous. They arrive in marked company vehicles, which helps with confidence if you are dealing with them for the first time.

I am very happy with the hardware installed which has a lifetime warranty and the technicians professionalism.

Installation went fine, feel ripped off however. The price they charged was a little higher than others but they had a good reputation so I thought I could trust them (silly me). I wanted top of the line and was willing to pay for it. One thing I wanted was a security camera that was fully integrated with the Android app that can be used to control the doors. The salesman said they had one for $399.00 so I added it to the order. Today when the technicians came to install the door they handed me a Nest outdoor camera. Two problems with this, first the Nest is not fully integrated with the Android app but rather links to it so it is not integrated. Second, I was charged $399 for a camera I can get on Amazon for $199. In fact I can get two cameras on Amazon for $349.00. Not only did I not get what I was told I would get but was charged double for it. Now I wonder what else was I told was the same way? They bragged about the quality of their warranty but now I wonder. Did I just pay $4000.00 for a $2000.00 dollar door system? It is too late for me on this one but watch yourselves with this company. Great; a little pricey but they gave an upfront price so that wasn't a surprise and they showed on Saturday night which I needed as my car was trapped in the garage. Garage opens very quietly.

Excellent. On time, cost was same as quote, came out one day after booking. Gave great advice that warranty only valid if you buy opener from the installer, not from a store.

I-am out of town, have people staying at my home while i'm gone, the garge door came off track, this had happened to be before and was fixed for $75. The guy called me and told me it would be $300.00 I said no, he said he just happened to have a coupon that would take $100 off I said no and called another company who fixed the door for $75 final payment

The Precision rep said my door was too bad to repair. He wouldn't do it and said let someone else repair it as he went on to use a number of scare tactics on how it could fall on me etc. Precision quoted me $4,000 and up for a new door and before leaving, when I told him I'd think about it , he pulled the cable out of each side of the door for no reason and let it hang on the floor. When I called a different company out to look at it, the rep, who was much older and more experienced, said it was a very high quality door that they don't even make anymore and did NOT need to be replaced! He continued to simply replace the springs and rollers for under $200 with my Angie's List coupon. The door works great!

They came on time, took the old door down amd has the new system up and running within two hours. Very processional and efficient.

They came out promptly. They gave us different alternatives to replace the garage door. They completed the work competently and quickly. My interactions with them were very professional and friendly. The garage door has been excellent, we love it.

Fairly well. Springs were rewound, and new rollers added to replace noisy old ones.

It was excellent. Precision sent two very nice technicians over and they both went above and beyond by doing a great job. They even programmed my smartphone so I could open my garage door from blocks away. They aren't the cheapest provider, but they know their stuff. I definitely got my money's worth.

Install was good. Wrong doors on one opening and had new correct one two days later. Patrick was very helpful and informative. I would use them again.

I am extremely happy. The new doors and openers are like night and day compared to my old ones. My installers did a wonderful job and were very professional. Once the installation was complete, we went over a checklist on each part of the process that was done. They showed me how to operate the system and offered suggestions. This is a top notch company that knows how to treat their customers. I've used their repair department before so I can vouch for them in that regard also.

The whole process was very smooth, no issues and no problems at all.

Replaced 2 springs & middle track for $900. Way too expensive. This happened a few months ago & it's broken again

He made it sound like everything on a eight-year-old door had to be replaced wanted to charge me almost $900 He just replace the springs and it was $464 I really think you can get it done just as well someone else they claim to be high-quality maybe they are but how do you get things done a lot cheaper than these guys

I brought him out for a repair and he showed me why he couldn't repair it which was pretty obvious so I went ahead and got a new garage door and he's super helpful he said this is what I recommend I wouldn't do this and I would do that in other words he gave me a bunch of options and and then told me what he thought would be a good option for me in my situation and I appreciated that. He could have sold me the most expensive door he had and he didn't do that so I appreciate his honesty.

He charged like $160 that could almost buy a new one for what he charged to fix it that's why I was a little disappointed in that.

$75.00 to get estimate, diagnosis, recommendations for new garage opener. $75 is waived if you have them do the work, but owed if you only get their estimate, diagnosis, recommendation. I can see that they are professional, and most probably do great work--but for my budget, they are over-the-top expensive and overkill for my budget & needs. I cannot afford such "Cadillac" product/service. The least they would charge me for a new garage opener would have been $730. [I subsequently bought a new garage door opener on sale at Home Depot for $148, and had it installed by a serviceman from my local neighborhood newspaper for $120.]

The cable had become unstrung from the drum and one of the guidewheels had popped out of the track, but the torsion springs were fine. They couldn't find anything actually wrong with the door so they re-hung it and it works fine now. They also did a full checkup and service, which is maybe why it was rather expensive for a fairly minor repair.

Mother's Day - Sunday - came home from an errand and the garage door wouldn't open. Found out it was a broken spring. Found Precision on Angies List and saw they were open 7 days a week. I called about 2:00 pm got an appointment for sometime between 4 and 6 and the technician was there before 4 pm. Loved that they sent me an email giving me the name of the technician, and a link so I could see his face and see that they had done background checks on him. Jason showed up and was very nice - explained what I needed, offered other options and offered advice on what I shouldn't do based on the age of my door. My cost was higher by about $350 because I had him do more than the minimum that was needed to fix my problem. Fabulous. Courteous - and he was gone within hour and I don't think my door has 'sounded' this good in the four years I've lived in my home. Would highly recommend these guys .
