Description of Work: We had moved into our house late 2011 from another State. Polar was recommended by a friend when we started having furnace issues, Late 2012 after 3 attempts w/ another Service provider, (who could not find the problem...) Polar sent Marvin over, and he found the problem. The part was not in their stock, So he had found it else where. He showed up the next day w/part & replaced it ASAP. Come to find out the part we nedded was under Warranty!!!!!

 + -1 moreI really didn't participate with this but I knew that my husband was happy with the service and had no issues. It was timely and the price was good. There were no issues. He got several quotes so the pricing would be an 'A', looks like he was good with the pricing. They were responsive and punctual. My husband would use them in the future if need be.
Description of Work: My husband was the one that used Polar Air Corp Heating & Air Conditioning and it was for air conditioning repair.

 + -1 moreWe have used Polar Air for a couple of years now. They are prompt and courteous and perform the cleaning and maintenance checks. Several different technicians have come to the house. They are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. It's not cheap but I feel I get good service.
Description of Work: Most recent was heating check, where I didn't pay anything because I'd paid the annual fee in the spring. Amount I spent was for the spring a/c check, where we usually pay for the annual a/c and heater inspection. This time one of the a/c units needed additional freon.

 + -1 morePolar Heating And Air Conditioning is an honest company. We have a service contract with them. When we have a problem with our furnace or air conditioner, they come right out. They are real good about explaining everything to us. They never try to sell us anything that we don't need.
Description of Work: They do routine maintenance on our heating and cooling systems.

 + -1 moreTHE AIR CONDITIONING ISN'T COOLING PROPERLY. IT IS NOT AS COOL AS OUR OLD UNIT. WE HAVE CALLED THEM ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND THEY TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO DO TO FIX THE PROBLEM, I DO WHAT THEY SAY AND IT IS STILL NOT COOLER THAN IT WAS BEFORE THEY PUT THE NEW SYSTEM.

 + -1 moreWANED TO USE POLAR AIR AS THEY INSTALLED MY SYSTEM (AN UPGRADE TO A 2 ZONE) AND WOULD KNOW THE WORK THEY PERFORMED - MY MISTAKE. AFTER INITIAL CALL, MANAGER RETURNED MY CALL 1 WEEK LATER TO SCHEDULE A VISIT. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN A CLUE. TECH WAS IGNORANT OF MY SYSTEM AND GAVE ME AN ADDITIONAL PROBLEM. AFTER WAITING FOR POLAR AIR TO CALL BACK, I CALLED THEM - POLAR AIR DENIED THE TECH DID NOT KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING THEN PROMISED TO SEND SOMEONE WITH HIM TO 'HELP'. I CALLED HALLMARK HEATING AND A/C WHO FIXED MY PROBLEM - A LARGE HOLE IN THE WALL BEHIND MY UNIT'S SENSOR WAS CAUSING HOT AIR COMING FROM THE ATTIC SPACE TO AFFECT THE SET TEMPERATURE. ONCE SEALED NO PROBLEM.
Description of Work: WORK WAS PERFORMED 8/05. I CALLED POLAR AIR AFTER HEARING SQUEEKY AUTO DAMPER IN ATTIC. TECH CAME 2 WEEKS AFTER I CALLED. I DECIDED TO USE THEM REGARDLESS AS THEY INSTALLED THIS SYSTEM 9 YEARS AGO. TECH ASSIGNED CHECKED DAMPER AND COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM. IN DOING HIS DIAGNOSTICS HE RESET 2 ZONED THERMOSTATS TO CYCLE SYSTEM AND HEAR DAMPER. AFTER HE LEFT I COULD NOT RESET BOTH THERMOSTATS TO GET A PROPER TEMP. UPSTAIRS UNIT RAN AND WOULD NOT SHUT OFF. TECH WAS CALLED AGAIN - 1 WEEK LATER RETURNED. COULD NOT UNDERSTAND HOW TO FIX THE NEW PROBLEM. SAID HE WOULD CALL IN TO THE SHOP FOR HELP ON RETURN TRIP. I GAVE UP AND CALLED HALLMARK HEATING & A/C. THEY FIXED THERMOSTAT WITHIN FIRST 10 MINUTES.
