It went well. The crew dug up the old sod, level the ground before laying new sod. They installed TifTuf Bermuda grass. It was top grade.

They did above and beyond my expectations. I think they are awesome angels and I would hire them again in a heart beat. I only have one weed. But I can take care of that. Thank you Planet Grass, you rock.

Planet grass came out, removed the little bit of old grass in front yard and tilled the whole area then replaced front yard with 4 pallets of San Augustine grass. The crew was very professional and answered all my questions during job. , Joe recommended we water new grass 1 hr in early morning and 1 hr in evening every day for 2 weeks! Yes, our water bill will be costly but I now have thick, lush green grass, where I had none before, Thank You Joe and Planet Grass

Jose was amazing to work with. He was very professional, knowledgeable, flexible, respectful, kind, honest, transparent, and sincere (Trust me, I do not use my compliments lightly). He gave a very honest and fair price. Furthermore, he was very responsive and easy to get in touch with. He took the time to look at and discuss possible solutions with me. While I did not hire him (only because I have decided to do something different with my yard) I know he would have done a flawless job and I will without a doubt consider him for any future sod installation I may need. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing sod installation.

Given my prior experience, I was a bit apprehensive. However, they were extremely cost competitive, responsive, courteous and professional. We did the work in November 2016 (due to weather considerations). I waited until this spring to submit a review as I wanted to see how the grass came through the winter. Everything exceeded my expectations. I would recommend Planet Grass without hesitation and will keep them at the top of the list for any future work.

Even though they list they install any amount you need they told me I would have to buy 5 pallets for installation.

They put down the topsoil, then sod. They did a good job, and I'm happy with my lawn.

Jose and his team did an excellent job. Jose (the owner) is very hands on with the project and interacting with the customer. He is extremely honest, reliable and hard working. Jose is one of the few individuals that will do whatever it takes to make sure his customers are 100% satisfied. Whenever I had a question he would immediately call or text me back, or be right over to the house if needed. Planet Grass truly cares about the quality of the work and the customers satisfaction. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Jose was wonderful. From the beginning when we called to ask about pricing and details, he was professional and courteous. I don't believe our job was very big (only three pallets of sod), but Jose treated us very seriously and answered all of our questions. He kept us updated on his schedule, called an hour ahead to let us know he was on his way, and arrived on time. The grass looks great, and we are very pleased. His prices are reasonable and we especially liked that he quoted us price per pallet including delivery and installation. It just made everything so much easier. We would definitely hire Jose again, and would recommend him to anyone who needs sod installed.

Jose and his helper did an excellent job. The quality of the grass and topsoil were great and Jose was a pleasure to work with. I had underestimated a wee bit during the measurement and ended up short about 10 pieces of sod at the end, but Jose was such a gentlemen that he offered to go to Home Depot and pick up some extra pieces of sod to complete the project at his own cost since he had also thought the initial estimation was correct. I was very impressed, so I paid him extra upon finishing to compensate him for the sod. Jose also followed up regularly after the job was done to make sure the grass was doing well and gave some advice. Would definitely recommend Jose for any sodding work. Update: About 6 months after the job, several areas/spots of my lawn are showing signs of distress and are dying again, but I am not certain if it is due to the grass or if I had improperly watered the lawn. I will be contacting Jose to see if he could give me some advice.

I'm a first time home owner as a single woman. I needed my backyard sodded, and I tried to contact quite a few other contractors to get estimates. Not many even responded, and the ones who did gave estimates that were well above the price I ultimately paid Planet Grass. Due to the continued rain over the last few weeks, we had to wait a bit; but Jose made it a point to keep me informed of his schedule on a frequent basis. He answered all the questions I had and went above and beyond to ensure I knew what was going on. The work was completed today, and I couldn't be happier. My experience with this contractor was BY FAR the best out of any other contractors I've used for making my new house a HOME. Thanks Planet Grass! I will definitely recommend you to my friends!

Excellent! Two other landscapers had failed to deliver as promise and I found this company on Angie's List. Jose Migoya understood that I had been waiting a long time for other landscapers who where no-shows, and Jose Migoya drove from Houston to The Woodlands the next weekend to install the grass. He did an excellent job at a better price than the other guys who never showed up. Great guy.

Things went really well. I've been watering the sod for about 3-4 weeks and it seems to be doing great. Because of the different thickness of the sod, the back yard isn't quite as flat as i had hoped, but i'm hoping that starts to work itself out over time.

Jose responded quickly and was able to schedule installation a few days later. He did a good job of communicating when he would show up, even when his prior job took longer than expected. The quality of the grass was very very good, and the installation went as I expected. I would recommend him to anybody looking to get new sod, and would definitely use him again.

Very pleasant experience with Jose and his turf installation.My front lawn had gotten so bad that it was embarrasing to me every time I drove out or came home. Jose fixed all that. He is a very courteous and knowledgeable young man. Thororougly enjoyable experience doing business with him.. Business like propsal...Price was what I considered fair and end results were perfect. He and his assistant worked two days removing weeds, tilling entire front yard, spreading several yards of very fine topsoil...and finished it off with installation of 5 pallets of beautiful emerald green St Augustine...I am more than pleased with the job and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of grass work or sodding.. Jose's service was very good. His style, punctuality and obvious experience were all excellent and his quote for the job was very competitive. He communicated with me prior to and during the job. The quality of my new lawn is excellent. Great job.

Came in at 8:30 am, and got right to work. Took out all the old grass, tiled up the entire front yard, even out all the uneven spots and brought in and layed out 3-1/2 pallets of fresh new st. augustine grass. was finish with the entire job by 5pm. He answered all my questions and worked this job into his schedule with no problems.

Jose is very easy to work with. He is polite, responds promptly and delivers what he promises. Due to heavy rainfall, he couldn't get the work done on scheduled date but he kept me informed about the situation. I am totally satisfied with his work and price. I highly recommend his services.

Jose is very responsive and professional. Because of the rain we had to delay for a while but he was in touch and let me know what was going on. I underestimated (by a lot!) how much grass we needed but he was kind enough to keep going to finish the job. So far everything looks great.

Highest rating possible for Jose. I have a very irregular and, what was, an un-level front and side yard where the St. Augustine had given up the ghost. Lawn was distressed, barren and totally a wreck. Prior to beginning the work, Jose listened to all of my concerns, and helped me understand what was needed before any sod was put down. His tilling, moving dirt, leveling, raking and all associated prep work was outstanding. He takes great care to do a thorough job during soil preparation. Sod installation was good, and Jose gave me the most reduced rate possible for some additional sod that I needed due to my not having originally measured the area correctly. After the work was completed I neglected to notice a small area where the water meter box was adjacent to my neighbor?s yard that needed a couple more pieces of sod and called Jose if he could help, but he had already gone home all the way across Houston. On his own, he came back the next day and fixed up that small area. Going into my fourth week, I now have a thriving, level, and lush front and side yard. This contractor goes above and beyond to make sure that the customer is satisfied. His courtesy and professional attitude is genuine. He responded to any and all of my concerns, was reliable, fair, and a pleasure to work with.

Great experience! Jose was super quick to respond to my message on Angie's List, which was soon followed by a phone conversation. We agreed upon a couple of different dates (weather permitting). It ended up raining really hard on Sunday night and the farm was closed on Monday. Jose called me right away on Monday to let me know what was going on and we rescheduled for Tuesday. Jose called me Tuesday AM to tell me he would definitely be coming and even called again when he was leaving the farm and headed our way. Jose not only delivered our grass on time, but he really went the extra mile to sculpt the edges of the laid sod around trees, where beds are going in, and around the perimeter of a dry creek bed that we are working on. He did a beautiful job on my lawn and I was extremely impressed by how well and how often he communicated with me before and during the job!
