The service turned out pretty good.

Bill (owner of company) personally repainted our kitchen cabinets after the first company we hired painted them because the first company did a lousy job. Bill had to sand mistakes made by the first company and prime those areas and then repaint. Final result was excellent. The first company we hired had an "A" rating on Angie's List (as did Bill's company). In my opinion Bill deserves the "A" rating but the first company definitely does not according to work down on our kitchen cabinets.

I was very pleased with Bill's work. He performed a top-notch service. I initially wanted my dining room painted. He showed me his faux option and I loved it. I decided to have him paint and faux the dining room plus add faux accenting to a couple other small areas at his suggestion. The painting/fauxing was a multi-day process. Bill arrived early each day and cleaned up each day. He was very meticulous about his work, which I really appreciated! He went above and beyond. I get so many complements on his work in my home. I would definitely hire him again.

Bill arrived each morning ready to work. He plastered the walls first, next day he would apply the base coat and then the glaze. He always cleaned up each night so you did not have to live with furniture out of place. We are very pleased with all our beautiful walls and ceilings.

What Bill created was beyond our expectations. Combining faux techniques of Old World and Spanish textures with various subtle colors of paint and glazes he transformed a dark entryway into a beautiful focal point of our home. His work truly is amazing and will enrich the beauty and value of our home for years to come. All we can say is "WOW"! The company name "Picasso" is so fitting for the work that Bill does. In our eyes, he is not a painter, but an artist. He's a one man show primarily because he wants to ensure the quality of workmanship. He is very meticulous, a person of perfection and the consummate professional. His creative ideas have transformed our house into a showpiece. Our house was a blank canvas for Bill to work from. We listened to his ideas and trusted in his recommendations. The results are stunning and we couldn't be happier. We would recommend Bill to any of our friends and neighbors His is a very hard worker sometimes putting in 12+ hour days. He goes above and beyond what you would expect from someone contracted to paint your home. You will be extremely satisfied with Bill, his work and the end results.

Bill came over and was incredibly generous with his time, spending well over an hour for the free estimate for painting and texturing my whole home. He is detail-oriented and has the skills to do handyman work on the side for free. He also has a designer's eye and has great ideas. In the end, I decided to go with a different look for my smaller home, but if you are interested in texturing, he seems like the guy!

Bill is amazing, I highly recommend him to anyone that is looking for a professional who is also courteous and very neat. He made my range hood look exactly the way I had described to him although I wasn't 100% clear on what I was thinking in my head. He also did a beautiful job of painting my little girl's room the exact way I wanted and made a suggestion to do an accent wall that turned out beautifully. He went above and beyond after he was done he noticed there had been some dust bunnies behind the bed and offered to vacuum. He is a perfectionist and the best out there. Do not hesitate to use him.

First of all, his work is beautiful - you can't find anyone to do a better job. Second, he takes pride in his work, which is really hard to find these days. And when someone takes pride in their work, you are going to get an outstanding product. He helps you determine what colors look good to faux in your rooms. He is the one that does the work, not someone else. He is meticulous when he works - it will be perfect. He also puts tarps and plastic everywhere before he paints to protect your home. I couldn't say anything negative about Bill - he is a 10 all around! If you want great service, quality work, and awesome, amazing, WOW walls, you need to hire Bill!

We decided not to go with this firm even though I believe the job would have been great

We contacted Bill O'Malia through Angie's List. Bill came to our home to look at the job promptly at the scheduled time. His quote was industry standard for Venetian plaster. Bill was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He gave us wonderful advice one how to prep the wall for his final treatment of the Venetian plaster. We were on a very tight schedule to move forward with this project and Bill was extremely accommodating, coming back at short notice to do the job. Bill is a perfectionist and had to work with some issues with the wall. Without complaining, he found solutions and the wall is stunning! This job was a new construction custom home and the Venetian wall was a key component that the architect called out for. We are very grateful that Bill surpassed our expectations in making this wall come to life.

I got a quote for faux paint in master bedroom and bath along with painting a small hallway between master and the bath and the toilet area. We also needed 4 outside French doors painted. Also included were sheet rock repairs in master to cover outlets that we are not going to use. I believe the quote of $5,000 was outrageous! For my $200 consultation fee I was given the base colors that Bill selected but will not be able to use them since the faux color will change the color. I have had faux painting done many, many times over the years and had excellent work done by other painters as I'm sure Bill would have done, however, I have never had to pay for the consultation and although I knew this ahead of time, I did not consider that I would get an estimate that was so out of line that I would not be using him to do the painting. I have never gotten a second estimate for work to be done but I will this time and feel sure that it will be less than half this estimate.

It went GREAT! I have a large Mediterranean style house so I wanted it to be authentic. Bill was very helpful in my decision on how to do the walls and color. So glad I listened and took his advice. I decided after seeing what he did in the master area to have him paint a few more accent walls in the dinning room and living room. Bill went above and beyond what was expected, worked hard and was on time or early every day. He was not the cheapest quote but not out of the ballpark either. Better to pay for the quality job than to be sorry. I learned that early on. Glad I chose him since I truly got my moneys' worth and more! I needed to have multiple rooms painted in my house, and was hoping to find a professional painter who wouldn't cut corners. Bill was exactly what I needed. He was polite and helpful, giving me much-needed advice on paint color, and explaining how different areas would need to be painted. His work was outstanding too - two coats of paint, drop cloths used, trim taped, and he even did his best to repair bad paint jobs done by other painters. We talked for several hours about future projects, and he gave me free advice on what needed to be done (should he not be available during the time frame I need a painter). His work costs a little more than the usual painter, but I wanted quality work and a responsible person to carry it out. I was more than pleased with Picasso Painting.

Bill's price is higher than most providers. However, I believe in quality so I decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, his in-person manners were so, in my opinion, rude and disrespectful, that I will not be using his service. During our meeting, he more than once threw snide comments at me (e.g. "Why would you want that? You need to listen to me, I have an unique talent and is going to look beautiful if you do it my way). The final straw was when he TOLD, not asked, but TOLD me, to take notes on what he was going to perform. I politely asked him shouldn't he be the one taking notes, as he was the one who will be performing the work. His reply was: "No, I know what I am talking about, you are the one who is confused so you to write this down." After a few times of correcting my writing, he basically started treated me like a secretary and dictated to me his words.

I am stunned with Bill's AMAZING ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND DESIGN EYE! His design eye is excellent with choosing color and to give depth and dimension. He is very clean and detail oriented. Work took about a week. It only cost us $1500 more than the plain regular painters quotes and was well worth it! It is a very rich look. He uses excellent neutral tones that go with everything. So impressed with the lemon grass accent walls that match so well with the Spanish textured with multi-color that he put in one recessed ceiling and in our master bedroom headboard wall. This is the darker mutli color ceiling paired with the green like walls. I will upload pictures if possible. The master bedroom headboard wall is perfect with our dark walnut wood floors. Our master bathroom is AMAZING! He went above and beyond the call of duty. He cleaned up the previous painters paint errors and spots on the baseboards, etc. He recommended to buy and replace the recessed lights(eyeball lights) with new trim which can be replaced from $5-$15 per light. I bought the bronze trim to replace the faded white trim, part # 310TBZ, but it depends what kind you already have installed. He gave me input and interior design ideas and much more. I highly recommend Bill O'Malia with Picasso Painting. Bill made our new house feel like home!

Bill is fabulous! At first I was concerned that his quoted price was higher than another provider, but I went with Bill because he spent a lot of time listening to what I wanted to accomplish and then providing suggestions that demonstrated a high degree of knowledge and understanding of faux painting and Venetian plastering. By the time the project was complete, not only was I extremely pleased with the lovely results, but I believe the "extras" that Bill did brought the whole project cost within the other vendor's range...for what I believe is a much better overall result than I would have gotten if I had gone with the lower cost bid. Bill's work is clearly that of an artist and of the highest quality and craft. In addition to working very long hours to complete the project before the movers delivered our household goods, Bill did an excellent job of working around other trades people who were performing work while he was here. Bill was always on time and did exactly what he said he would do when he said he would do it. He consulted me throughout the project and patiently worked around others who were not on time to do their work. I trusted Bill with the key to our home so he could work "off" hours to complete the job within a tight timeframe. At the end of the project, he cleaned up after himself better than anyone who had ever done this type of work for me. I think he even cleaned some things the house cleaners missed in the areas he had been working. Bill is his own crew...he does all the work himself. My husband and I highly recommend him if you want the highest quality workmanship and beautiful, artistic walls in your home!

Bill O'Malia is a true professional and artist. His texturing and faux finishing transformed our otherwise pretty home into gorgeous! He has a wonderful eye for color and his technique is flawless. Bill worked with us on color consultation, which finish would work best, even making suggestions on accent colors. He brought his Ipad with him so we could look at finishes, colors and before/after pictures. Before our kitchen was dark. After texturing the ceiling, using wall color to bring out the slate kitchen backsplash and accent colors here and there the whole kitchen looks brighter. He opened up our family room with color and faux finishing the fireplace wall. Before the fireplace was boring. Now it pops! Our entryway is absolutely beautiful. The photographs do not do the work justice. He refinished our 1/2 bath by texturing and using two colors of metallic paint. It looks like it came out of a magazine. I included one picture of the actual two color faux finishing of the bath. The work in the bedroom is also beautiful. Bill is a self described "clean freak". Every day he would vacuum and make sure everything was in order before he left. I believe "you get what you pay for." Yes, we could have had someone come and paint the walls. We wanted more - and we got much more than we expected. We are extremely happy with our experience with Picasso Faux Painting and Venetian Plastering.

No regrets about going with Bill from Picasso Faux Painting. He did everything he said he was going to do, and went above and beyond by giving us “extras” where he saw something that was needed. I’m very glad we used Angie’s List to find him - the paint job inside our house looks fantastic! We chose him over the other painters who gave us quotes because it is clear that he is passionate about his work and has very high standards for his work as well. You can tell he is a perfectionist and has an artistic eye. When we asked his opinion, he was able to give us good advice on paint colors and accent walls that really paid off. He was very meticulous about straight lines, avoiding paint splatter, and leaving the house immaculate. For most of the house interior, we needed a regular paint job, which turned out great. In one area, he did some faux painting, which is one of his signature techniques. It is very impressive! He was always very professional, very nice, and trustworthy. He was respectful and wasn’t pushy. He was good at communicating with us before and during the job. He texted me photos from his smartphone as the job progressed, and would text or call me if he had any questions. I was glad to have this constant communication with him, as it assured me the job was getting done right. If you are a perfectionist like me, this really is the painter you need to hire!

The work was done with incredible attention to detail and Bill's meticulous manner assured that there were no flaws, uncovered areas, paint splatter or overrun. Bill treated our home and us with the utmost respect and always brought positive enthusiasm to work. He was always on time and never left until he completely cleaned the area, neatly placed his equipment in the garage and never, not once, did he leave trash in or outside of our home. If you want artistic creativity with the highest standard of quality and results that will give your home the "Wow!" factor, then call Picasso.

We replaced our kitchen cabinets and needed to change the walls. We already had strong texture and wanted something that looked like natural stone with brown overtones and gray undertones. Bill did a great job creating this effect. He was professional, accommodating (agreeing with your spouse on subtle multi-color is not easy), punctual, and nice. He is a real old school craftsman. His skills are undeniable. We've all hired painters who can't cut in at edges or on rounded corners, or leave spots on cabinets or floors. Not with Bill. He is a perfectionist. I cannot stress the importance of this point. I gave him an A for price not because he is cheap but because of the value for the money spent. Not only was the job well done but he worked like crazy coming in at 8:30 and staying for 12 hours with few breaks. I haven' met many people who will do that and keep a good attitude. If you value quality or you have a lot invested in your home, this is the man to hire.

Bill recently painted a number of rooms in our home and he did a great job! He was on time for the estimate and provided us with a number of color and texture ideas. He was also on time for the color consult and help us select our primary wall color. He suggested the ceiling and trim colors, both are great! Bill started on a Tuesday and moved quickly through the entire house, finishing a week later. We left Bill home alone in our home with our dog. He was great with our dog and we were so grateful that we could continue working while Bill was in our home. We also provide him with a key so that we could leave for work at our usual time. Bill did a great job painting our home, he spent extra time cleaning up the mess that the previous painter left. He didn't skip the details and spent the extra time to do a perfect job. Bill textured the area above our fireplace and it looks absolutely beautiful. Bill is an artist and took our job very seriously. We are so grateful for his hard work and we would absolutely use Bill again. We will cal him to do the remaining rooms in our house.
