Below is a summary of our experience with Optimal Air. We won’t be using them again and suggest that you look elsewhere for HVAC service. June: Room temps weren’t balanced, so we found Optimal Air found online. They completed a diagnostics visit, suggested to replace 3 damper motors and upgrade the control board to Lennox Harmony 3 for better function, the AC worked fine all summer with these adjustments November: Try to turn heat on for the first time since Optimal Air completed service, but the unit is not heating the house and some areas of the house are now COLD. I tracked down the problem to be the control board and requested Optimal Air come double check their installation. Technician confirmed the Lennox Harmony 3 board was not compatible with our system and would be out the next day to replace it as he didn’t have the part with him. The next day the technician replaced the Harmony 3 board with a Honeywell HZ311. As he was working on it, I confirmed the heating was working but I did not know what was controlling the system. I noticed the new Honeywell board did not provide as many features as the Lennox, so I searched the pricing as I paid for an upgraded control system in June. The current market values for consumers show the Lennox board to be about $750 more than the Honeywell. Repair companies like Optimal Air can get them at different prices, but that’s a big difference in the product I paid for and what I now have. I requested to be refunded the difference, Optimal Air “got their management to agree” to $100 and claimed their invoice difference between the two installs is normally $50 less for the Harmony. Online Prices and (Source) Lennox Harmony 3: $1049 (Supply House), $911 (Controls Central), $899 (Amazon) Honeywell HZ311: $143 (Supply House), $175 (Controls Central), $130 (Amazon) December: We attempted to run the heat for the first time since the Honeywell was installed, but it would not heat. Again, a request was made for Optimal Air to check their completed work. A technician was available that same day and was able to solve the problem of inadequate wiring connections made to the control board. The heat has been working properly since then. In summary, you may want to consider using a different company for your HVAC needs. They deserve credit for having technicians available with urgency. Technically, we should have never been presented the Harmony 3 board as it was not compatible with our system and the replacement control board connections were not done properly on a repair visit. Financially, it is obvious the two control boards are not of the same level and the cost of product difference is questionable in Optimal Air’s billing. Personally, we had to make work arrangements to be available at home during four separate and lengthy service time slots and the lack of heating led to our children sleeping in cold conditions on two occasions.

They identified problem and fixed it on the spot. They were on time with their schedule and very courteous during the visit. Much better interaction than typical contractors. This is an A-1 group would highly recommend them

So glad my tech Andrew was knowledgeable and able to diagnose the problem as my thermostat and not the furnace. He didn’t have a replacement thermostat with him but said he’d go to Home Depot and pick one up. He returned and installed it and heat was on in no time. Outstanding service!

Optimal Air installed my Trane HVAC unit 2-years ago and has provided yearly Spring and Fall maintenance services on the unit since that time. This past month I was advised by my HOA that the roof on our building was scheduled to be replaced over a 2 week period and the hired contractor would be disconnecting and relocating all HVAC units to accommodate their work. I contacted Optimal Air who is responsible for all services under a 10 year warranty on the unit and advised them of the scheduled work to be done. They contacted me directly and arranged to have a Trane Certified Technician (Eric) on site to safeguard our warranty. Everything went smoothly and today they concluded their final inspection of the unit. Optimal Air Solutions is an excellent company with top-notch, knowledgeable service personnel!

Well it finally died. 10 years later after optimal air solutions Steve Finley said he could fix my unit for $500 while others wanted to charge me $5000-7000 for a new unit. I got ten freakin years out of that unit. A month ago they resurrected it with Freon but that lasted only a month. So they gave me a credit on the Freon towards a new unit. Since meeting Steve and his partner Joe, I’ve used them video every AC job. My daughter uses them as do friends. They are the best ever. The current job I’m reviewing was led my Eric and his team. Eric explained exactly what they were going to do. He was courteous, professional and quick! Thank you Optimal Air Solutions

Every technician has been friendly, courteous, safety conscious, and informative. In the past two weeks, I’ve used them at my house and my mother’s house and I’ve been very pleased both times.

The quickness and attentive nature Optimal Air Solutions provided was as good as many previous reviews have shown; customer service answered and immediately began addressing the issues with phone calls and guidance. Good options and very-competitive pricing were presented to me and a solution agreed upon (Trane). Erick showed up in prompt fashion, was courteous, and prepared for the installation with a crew right on time. Pricing was excellent, the service and install went flawlessly, and the cleanup was handled without issue. Everything has worked and the house is now in a better condition with efficient high-quality products. Well done, and yes this is an excellent group of individuals, all appearing to work harmoniously towards working with their customers.

My AC has been Optimized by Optimal Air Solutions! They used an automated notification system to let us know when to expect service. The Technicians were courteous, knowledgeable and kept us updated on upgrade status. We chose a Trane system and couldn’t be happier! Air temp in bedroom is 5 degrees cooler than than ever before. Neighbors thanked us because the new system is sooo much quieter. Highly recommended!!!

Optimal Air Solutions did an outstanding job from start to finish! They jumped right on my estimate, came and checked my system and scheduled replacement all very quickly. Everyone I dealt with was very nice and helpful. The install crew was amazing as well. They answered all my questions and walked me thru everything. Great customer service from every person I came in contact with! I would certainly recommend them for AC needs!!

This is my second year purchasing Optimal Air Tune-up special. Andrew also changed my AC filter and took a look at an issue I was concerned about and assured me there was no problem. Will use them again!

Needed a checkup on my Air unit they installed 2 years ago. Was very prompt and checked entire system. Needed a little Freon but since it was not much... No Charge. Even said they would come back out at no charge, to check again once the weather got hotter. Wow, Great Air Company to work with!

The technician, Joe, arrived at the scheduled time and was very personable. He went to work immediately and took the time to explain his observations and findings. He wrapped up after 30-45 minutes, cleaned up after himself, and resolved the issue I was concerned about.
