Description of Work: I had heard great things about Olshan from my neighbors with slab-foundation homes; however, when I called them for an estimate on my pier-and-beam home, they said they wouldn't even consider my home because it has only a one-foot clearance. (They won't even come look at it if it's less than a two-foot clearance.) Contrast that with another company I called, which spent 3 hours with me, explaining the different types of repair. Basically, they explained that because my home is sinking (very slightly) on the perimeter, they could stabilize the home by going down about 15-feet on the perimeter. In other words, according to this other company, they wouldn't even need to go underneath the home (which was the deal-breaker for Olshan being willing to even come out and assess the situation). This other company actually suggested I use the former company I had used for foundation repair to shim it up, and make good on their warranty ... which Olshan could have done, too. In other words, Olshan -- had they been willing to entertain my home as a potential piece of business -- could have, upon seeing my home, realized that maybe the perimeter offered an opportunity for repair and that the former company I used could handle the shimming it up within the crawl space. I will probably use this "other company" because they were clearly interested in my business. I will not be using Olshan because apparently, they either don't do perimeter leveling or they don't want the business. Either way, it was very disappointing to hear that they are not willing to talk to someone whose home, were it to be made level, might not even require going into the crawl space. I'm sure they do very good work -- when they choose to do it -- but as for their being open to new business, I'm not impressed.

Description of Work: 10 cablelok pilings with Urothene lift inside the house. Clean job, very pleased. They absolutely know what they are doing and do it well.

Description of Work: After 2 years of getting quotes from several foundation companies in the area, we chose Olshan Foundation because they did the leveling work on next door neighbors' house. Tough decision made easier. Nine piers were placed on two sides of house to raise nw corner. Gilberto led the dig & pier placement crew. Daniel was project manager for the actual lifting. Both gentlemen very professional & informative & work was completed in one day. They left our yard looking better than when they arrived. Diagonal cracks over doors closed, doors now close & latch properly, slope in bedroom floor much improved. Will recommend to neighbors as they give referral fee when work completed. Also, Olshan does plumbing test before & after lift, & in our case plumbing concerns we had were confirmed. We chose Olshan plumbing services to re-route under slab plumbing because that's what they specialize in. It's been 2 months now & we were told to wait 3 months before repairing sheetrock, so far so good.

Description of Work: Everything went as expected. Cleaned up outside and inside very well. Hard to tell they were ever there on the outside. For the inside work the concrete dust was well contained to just the room were the work was performed. Only thing that didn't happen timely was the post plumbing inspection. That was delayed a week from when the foundtaion work was finished.

Description of Work: I went with Olshan because of their long history and the good reputation. The company came out to do an estimate. I have severe sheetrock cracking, my wood flooring was separating, and upstairs doors would not close, and cracking on my porch. The estimator did some computerized measurements and told me my house was level and fine, it was probably just natural settling. He seemed very informed and professional, so I prepared to deal with the cosmetic issues/ Now almost one year later I pull up my carpet and discover a 1/4 wide, very deep, crack running from the back of the house to the front, out to the porch, down the exact line of my problems. I need it fixed and will NOT be using Olshan.
