Nick's Plumbing & Sewer Service

The man was very nice and informative. Very professional. He told me what was wrong and I was very happy about how he explained it to me. However, the quote he gave for fixing it was INSANE. I understand that we have a major issue, but instead of quoting to FIX the issue, he quoted to BYPASS the issue entirely and not use those pieps under the house ever again. And to pay OVER $15K for something like this seems a bit over priced. I attempted to contact the company about financing or other options and no one ever answered back. I tried emailing during the day (since we both work) and tried calling in the evening and of course now one answers. I will get plumbing service from someone else.

The guy came out and was on time. Since it was a Sat. it was an overtime charge. Had to repair pilot light mechanism. I'm very satisfied with the work.

Very well. The plumber accidentally pulled a wall socket out while unplugging his snake, but called the problem in and an electrician was sent out the next morning to repair the damage. No quibbling, just a repair of the damage. Very pleased

They did what they needed to do, it was just fine. The guy was really nice. I got it done and scheduled it right away. What they did was they installed the pipe, the pipe worked and it looked fine. They were there when they said they'd be. They were very good.

Very well and straightforward , no hassles, no upsells, simple and efficient. Would use them again and would recommend to others, based on this limited service experience.

I had a pipe leak in my ceiling and called Nick's - they had someone there quick enough but the guy had such an attitude and was really pushing for a 're-pipe' instead of just fixing the current issue. He temporarily clamped the leak - telling me to check with my insurance for the 're-pipe' issue and of course, my insurance said no to that. I was leaving town the next morning early and had to leave the temporary fix on the pipe. I got home to find that the 'fix' had been leaking while I had been out of town for 4 days. The plumber returned this morning and I had to leave someone there with him because I had to go to work. I received a call from my friend telling me what he was going to do and I asked for an estimate - he snapped that 'I gave her one the other day!' No, we didn't talk price - he was pushing for a 're-pipe' ($8-10K). I asked to speak to the plumber and he practically humg up on me! He was rude to the friend I had there for him and I called the office to report him. They said they would either speak to him or have the supervisor come out and see what was going on. As far as I and my friend know, neither one happened. He was there for about 2 hours and took time to go outside and smoke. I do not appreciate that he was taking care of his cravings on my time. "We work by the hour - we don't care" is what I was told he said. I feel that $625 is a little steep and having been treated so rudely on top of that - I feel a little violated. Just not happy with the treatment I received and will never use again. Unfortunately, it was an emergency situation in the beginning or I would have had time to shop around.

The plumbers were very courteous and did the job very professionally. The problem turned out to be much larger than originally expected. It could not be fixed in one day, but they made a temporary connection so that I could have use of my bathroom facilities. They collaborated with their colleagues to find the most cost effective way of fixing my problem. The cleaned the area after they were finished. Job well done.

We originally called him out to do an estimate to unclog the drain in the bathroom. He quoted us a $5,000 repair that was going to involve expensive replacement of all the plumbing under the house. We were able to solve that problem with a bottle of soap scum removal, so I really didn't appreciate him not trying something else. The repair that he did do we thought he did a pretty good job. There was one hitch because we had specifically asked for a top of the line tankless water heater and while they were bringing it into the house my husband happened to catch them. They were bringing in a lower-end heater to install and if he hadn't caught them they would've installed it when we had paid for a better one. We weren't too happy about that and when we said that it wasn't the right one they gave us the correct one, so it was a little shady. The worked really fast. There were some things that concerned us, but the work they actually did was good.

I called them on Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend. They did not have anyone available when I called but offered to work after their official hours (for a charge). They called me back when they had someone available, but my neighborhood plumber was able to fix the problem. So, at least they called me back when none of the others did!

They came out and serviced our toilet while we were not home and accessed and left the house just as instructed to accomodate our busy schedule.

They removed the faceplate of the handle and adjusted the regulator flow of hot water that mixes with the cold water. A simple solution when you know about it, but h*** taking a cold shower if you don't. They apologized for having to charge me but I was okay with it. They came from Heights/Montrose area all the way out west of town, two men and a truck. The charge was 90.00. They were very polite and careful with their tools around my ceramic tile. I have encountered ruff necks that left damage so when someone is careful around other peoples stuff I am impressed. Very polite and on time. The job was complete in no time. I was happy,happy! They were very good. He told me one option to fix something and then recommended I didn’t. He said it would be more cost effective to replace that part. I appreciated his honesty. He is always prompt and courteous.

They were very quick and efficient with the services completed. The gentleman was very pleasant to work with. Everything is working just fine since the repair.

They did unreasonable job. And push a lot of things that is not required.

I ended up not using them because I have a shared sewage line with a neighbor, and the city of Houston fixed the issue. However, they gave me a very high estimate. The guy who came out also told me that he would come back to help me and never did. He also kept getting my name wrong.

I think they overcharged me because I'm an old woman. I think there was a problem with a valve inside the toilet and he replaced that and then he said this is an old toilet and this is going to break if you don't have such and such done. I panicked and had the work done and paid him $400. Then a neighbor came out and told me that he would've done that for free. Therefore, I was really disappointed with them and would not use them again.

Nick's Plumbing & Sewer Service did work for me. I was not pleased at all. In fact my former spouse who I told that I was going to utilize this service, we didn't know anybody to call. No one could recommend anybody and we knew which companies we did not want to use. They seemed to be somebody that was in the area and would know older houses, the young man that they sent me the first time, it was for a stoppage in a line, obviously I had a drainage issue. The first time he comes out he doesn't even bring a plumber's snake. He said he didn't have his regular truck so he didn't have the plumber's snake, so he comes back and it was a washer drain line, he snakes this thing out and he says okay I got a little bit of lint, that's it. And he charges me $200. He leaves. I go to do laundry and it's still stopped up. So I call them back and he comes back and he does it again and I asked him about other possibilities because it's an old house and we have all these other issues, he said no this should do, this should be it. This is after the second time, he used the kind of snake that I can buy at Home Depot. A little small tiny nothing thing. After the second time he did it, I had a problem again. I went ahead and called and said Josh is a very nice young man and he is very polite and all, but do you have a master plumber? I remember years ago someone had come out after they snaked the line they took the garden hose and ran the water under pressure just to make sure that he got it cleared down to the trap or what ever is under there. So they sounded very polite on the phone and listened to me and said of course we'll have somebody so low and behold who comes back, they send me the same young man. This time he has somebody that he's training and I'm thinking oh great the dumb leading the blind. He said your drainage line is under ground it's buried you can't see it, it could be this, blah, blah, blah, okay well give me an idea of what is going on. Well I have to charge you more money. They told me because I'm coming out here again, he said. He said I can snake out the line from the sink and I said but you said that's not what the issue is. He said that's correct. So I said why would I give you money for something that isn't going to correct the problem? None of this was making any sense to me. Basically, they were polite and they showed but as far at the problem being resolved no. I don't know what is going on with it now. They had very high recommendations that's why I had chosen them. I had used two others in our area and had good experience with them, but all their master plumbers left and they just had younger people that were inexperienced, we had negative experiences that we would not utilize them again. I don't know if they had more experienced plumbers they only sent me Josh. He was very, very nice young man, but he really didn't strike me as very knowledgable. He couldn't diagnose the problem. It was something beyond just snaking out this line. If he thought it was going to be more complicated he should have quoted me more money, but he was never willing to crawl under the house to substantiate any of the stuff that could possibly be going wrong. I needed to call somebody else to get the problem resolved. He was here the 15th of March. And then he was back another time. He was back a second and a third time which was when I told him thanks but no thanks.

Excellent, fast, professional service. I selected Nick's based upon member comments and was not disappointed. We began experiencing drainage/sewer anomalies over the weekend that became increasingly apparent on Monday morning. After researching plumbing firms, I called Nick's and they had a plumber available to send over immediately. He arrived promptly, ran a snake though the backyard sewer line all the way to the city collector line and cleared the blockage, which appeared to be tree roots. I asked him about prices for additional services to be performed since we are in need of another plumber following the retirement of the plumber that we had used for many years. Their price estimates are in line with my past experience and I plan to use Nick's again.

The work went as promised and very quickly. Everyone I was in contact with at Nick's was courteous and professional. I always felt that I was getting quality work. They were in and out in a day. I got four bids on the work from various plumbing contractors (all on Angie's List). The most competitive estimate came from Nick's. Even with additional cost from a "rude surprise" during the job I believe that we got the most competitive price for quality work possible. I give all gold stars to Nick's Plumbing and strongly recommend them to anyone else.

On a Sunday night, we had water leaking out of the toilet and out of the second floor ceiling. We were able to turn the water off and when I called Nick's Plumbing early the next morning, they were able to fit us in at a 4:00 in the afternoon appointment. The technician was very friendly. He was very clear in what he thought the problem might be. He was very upfront about the pricing even before the assessment. When we found out more information about what the possible cause was, he was very detailed about what my alternatives were and how much this would cost.

They didn’t do anything wrong but they didn’t do anything useful, so I wasn’t really crazy about them. They gave me good service, they were timely and they did pretty much what they said they would, but it was kind of a waste of money. I couldn’t fault them for providing the service that they said they would, at the price they said they would, they were punctual, they were polite and professional, but I really didn’t get much out of it. The only feedback I could provide is not so much for the service provider but for the buyer to make sure that they have something that is worth inspecting in the house. For what they did, it didn’t seem like it was worth that price. It is hard to comment on the quality because they didn’t do anything.

There was more "small print" after I bought the coupon and called them for service. Basically they said "Wer're niot reresponsible except for cleaning out. If we stop up something or break anything, IT's YOUR problem. We'll be happy to fix whatever we screw up in the cleaning process, FOR A PRICE!" What a scam!! Never Again...

My kitchen sink was slow draining and had gotten to the point that it would fill up before it could drain. I called Nick's and described the problem. He said he was booked solid on the day I called but would let me know if anything opened up that day - otherwise he would have someone out about 8:30am. I received a call the next morning as a technician was on the way. The plumber and helper/apprentice was there very quickly and got straight to the issue. They asked a few questions and quickly identified and fixed the problem. Price was reasonable. Service was prompt and courteous. Having a service call to your house always involves money and that's never fun. All that said, I feel like Nick's Plumbing offers very good service at very fair prices.

Call was answered in a friendly manner, technician arrived for ( reasonable!) estimation at no cost. Work was done professionally, in schedule and in budget.
