Everything went perfectly. And the last thing they did was put the rug on a roller so I could store it as opposed to having in the hallway for everyone to walk over.

I contacted this business about cleaning my rug - it was not wool. At the time I did not know that using water would make the rug smell worse. He cleaned it with water which I later learned was the worst way to clean it. I had to throw it out.

. Now I have a rug that is show room quality. Musse could read the Arabic language, identified the weaver as an historic weaver family of Persian rugs and could date it. I got a wealth of information and a handsome rug. I took a risk in buying the rug, Musse took over, restored the rug and now I have a rug that a work of art for a family of modest means. Recommendation: take your rugs to Musse for cleaning, repairing, and up front disclosure of costs.

The work was very well done. As I recall the process took several weeks to complete. The price was a bit higher than what I'd planned on, but I cannot argue with the results and the professionalism.

I had some difficult stain on the rug fringe, thanks to my cats. they got the stains out!

Our home was a victim of the Memorial Day flood. In the midst of remediation, drying out and general chaos, I was able to contact Azim with Musee, Ltd. I had tried several other shops around town but the owner's were never available, and simply offered to have the rugs picked up in a few days. I spoke to Azim Alamshemas with Musee Ltd. directly on the first call and he was able to come to our house that day to personally assess our rugs. Bear in mind these were wet messes, bundled on the patio and covered in sheet rock dust as well as Category 3 debris. Azim and his assistant spread out the rugs and inspected the damage and provided an immediate assessment of both condition, value and necessary repairs. Azim was very familiar with the insurance process and documentation necessary. He provided a written estimate on the spot including cleaning, post clean assessment, and restoration (including fringe trim and over-stitching). We signed off on the order and off they went with our rugs. We were not in a rush to take back delivery of the rugs although Azim called about 10 days later to notify that cleaning was completed and that the Aubusson was permanently damaged due to color run, apparently from furniture. The kilim rugs were in good shape although in need of some work. A week later, Azim notified me the rugs were ready for delivery and I requested he hold them for a bit to which he said "no problem". We finally went by the shop this past Friday and Azim personally gave us a tour of our rugs that had been completely restored, including the Aubusson. Absolutely beautiful work from the cleaning to the restoration. The fringe trimming and over-stitching was perfect. Even the Aubusson was perfect except the color run (from a piece of painted furniture). They look as good as when we purchased them in 1990. Azim and crew delivered them today. Since we will store the rugs for a few months, Azim had the rugs folded and tied along with rolled pads, all number matched to corners to ensure the custom cut pads matched the rugs. Nice attention to detail. Azim is absolutely one of the most gracious, caring and conscientious people I have had to pleasure to work with. The quality of work is a reflection of his character and that of the people he employs.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO CLEAN A VALUABLE WOOL RUG!!! My large wool oriental rug came back with numerous small holes where the backing shows through. I didn't notice the holes right away because they are small. I noticed the holes when I had to sit down and clean a spot where my cat threw up on the rug, so I'm finally getting around to writing a review. As time has passed the holes have concerned me more and more, and I thought the right thing to do was to sit down and write a review. They did an good job on the repairs and cleaning of the small rug. The repairs trimming that rug. I would have given an F based on the holes in the large rug, but as I mentioned he did an OK job on the small rug. I didn't contact the owner about the holes in the rug because I figured there is nothing to be done to repair the holes. Frankly, I don't know how this company received an overall review of "A" unless all the owner's friends and extended family submitted made-up reviews.

I took my area rugs to be cleaned. Musee removed stains, washed the rugs -- and let them dry thoroughly before rolling them again -- and repaired a couple of holes. The owner suggested they repair fringe damaged from vacuum cleaners and standard wear. Musee did a lovely job of reweaving both the holes and the fringe. While I do not remember the actual costs, I remember that they were high-reasonable for what Musee did -- and worth it.

Excellent working with this vendor. Quick response with bid that was very reasonable. Prompt response to pick up rug and completed the work within the timeframe promised. Excellent workmanship.

The rugs were cleaned very well . The replaced fringe looks great. They recommended a specific rug pad for each , which we purchased and it works very well . No slipping or marring of the wood floor. The gentleman at the store was very helpful and very knowledgable. I will definitely use their services again and plan on making our next rug purchase from this provider.

They were kind, warm and welcoming and did a good job. Carried the rugs in and out for me, and spent time visiting with me about their past and how they came to be located where they were with the massive inventory they have. I would use them again.

Azim was extremely professional and cheerful over the phone when I made initial contact. I delivered the rugs to his location and the service was complete in about two weeks, which is what he stated the time frame would be when I dropped off. When I picked up my rugs, they were brighter, cleaner, and smelled much better. They hadn't been cleaned in 7 years and he did a fantastic job. When I arrived at the store, Azim greeted me with the same cheer and professionalism he had on the phone, I paid for the service, and his helper loaded my rugs into the truck for me. I was so pleased with the service, I dropped off another antique Persian area rug for cleaning. I definitely recommend Musee, Ltd. for any specialty rug cleaning services.

they were very punctual and clean. They did an excellent job of being careful in my home. They had to call me back with an estimate on the repair, and I received a call with the estimate within 1 hour of them leaving my home. they returned the rugs beautifully cleaned and repaired and replaced all of the furniture. I would definitely use them again.

I have used Musee previously for the same rug. My rug has a lot of detail and they did a wonderful job 2 years ago. Azim and his staff are true professionals. And now again, this year, they did the same wonderful job on same rug.

Had a wonderful experience with Musee and Azim. Customer service is outstanding. Our rug (inherited with lots of stains) was picked up at exactly the time we were told they would be there and Azim had sent an email reminding us the day before about the pickup and then called the morning of to make sure this was still convenient for US! What a refreshing experience! Two weeks to the day - as promised, our rug was brought back to us and they assisted us in getting it installed in the living room. Rug was much cleaner than I ever dreamed it would have been and smells great now! We will definitely use Musee again for the other carpets in our home!

I called to check their prices. The quote was very good. He was able to pick up the rug that afternoon and returned it approximately one week later. The people that came to pick it up were very nice and professional. They were careful with the furniture that they had to move to take it and to return it. They were very careful to place the rug in the proper place and where I wanted it.

Don't get "sticker shock" over my cost, as we had 22 Persian carpets that had not been cleaned in 20 years. I phoned 3 providers from your list. Azim was the friendliest of all, explaining in detail how they would be doing the cleaning. Plus they were the only ones that did everything the old Persian way, which is by hand. We did not want any machines used in the cleaning process. The age of the carpets ranged from 50-75 yrs old. So it was very important that they been cleaned the proper way. We had a rare and old kilum that was breaking down on the fringe. After it was restored it looked perfect! We had one carpet that had a stain that was 16 years old and they restored it all by hand to nearly perfection. My husband can't tell which corner it was, but I can slightly, but I know the corner. I had told Azim if they could just get it 50% better I'd be happy, Azim said it wouldn't leave unless it was 80% better, I think it made 90%. I did our order in 2 invoices. Each one was done on time or earlier. Azim, called with the progress. One order the new pads that were being cut for each were not in as Azim had expected. The first pad delivery did not meet his standards, so he reordered and it was running behind schedule. It was only 2 days. The colors of each carpet became so vibrant after being cleaned. It's so nice to have real pads and not the over the counter rubber ones that will ruin wood and stone floors. Each pad is custom cut for each carpet, following all the curves and such of each. It feels so nice to walk across them and you feel the thickness. I still can't get over how beautiful they all look with the colors becoming so vibrant and back to their original look. Azim and his staff made you feel welcome and treated like family. We sat and had Persian tea and cookies on one trip I made to the shop. Because I lived so close to the shop I dropped off and picked up the carpets. Though when I picked up my first order, Azim sent one of his staff (at no charge) to carry the 11 carpets into the house and roll up the last 11 so I could drop them off and get the pricing. I will now do as Azim recommends and have all our carpets cleaned every 5 years. If you truly treasure and value your investment in your carpets you will only have Azim and his staff do the cleaning and repairing/restoring to maintain the value.

After talking to Azim over the phone and getting an estimate for the work, we brought the rugs to his store. He evaluated the rugs and told us that it would take 2 weeks and explained the process. He was very professional and friendly. In a little less than 2 weeks, we received a call that the rugs were ready. Both rugs were expertly done. The colors are so vivid now. The fridge is now amazingly clean as is the rest of the rugs. We're very pleased and will use Musee again.

The service went very well. The owner even came to deliver the rugs once they were clean. He also repaired one of my rugs and he did and excellent job. The gentleman who came out and picked up the rugs had made a mistake on the original price and the owner caught the mistake and lowered the price. They were very honest and I am very pleased with the end result.

Excellent service and work. My dog had eaten the fringe on my dining room rug. Musee showed up when they said they would and even confirmed several times by email. There is no problem with communication because of the owner's use of email. It was a pleasant surprise to have people arrive when the say they are going to arrive. The owner brought fringe with him to show me what he would use to replace my half-eaten fringe so there were no surprises. The work was completed before the time estimate they gave me which was great since I will have a house full of people at Christmas. Overall, a great experience.

I told him the condition it was in. He gave me a price. He was very nice and if I had taken it anywhere I was going to take it to him.

Estimate over the phone was 2x other providers in the area. The provider I used was not on Angie's list, but they were EXCELLENT. I had gotten 3 estimates, 2 from Angie's list, including Muse, and a third from a place on Westheimer I had used before. I went back to the one I'd used before simply for price, but I was rewarded for an incredible, timely result. I cannot say Muse's service would not have been as good, but they lost me on the phone estimate.

Azim was very professional and thorough in his evaluation of our rug and what and how he would clean it. Great experience and I will definitely use them again
