I waited a week for a return phone call to set up an appointment for an estimate. After calling to complain about the non-response, I did receive an apology (it fell through the cracks...) and a call back and promptly set up an appointment for the estimate.

Here in The Woodlands, if a contractor shows up, they think they have the job. Rick almost insisted that we get three estimates. He also insisted that we get approval from the HOA, which helped when we went to list. His crew were efficient, careful and protected our shrubbery without many reminders. They did a magnetic sweep for nails and picked up as much debris as possible. Rick did a final inspection and picked up more. He was good about letting me know arrival and departure times and he got our job scheduled quickly as we had interior damage. We have recommended M & M to a neighbor. I most appreciated the professional proposal and follow up. The proposal was throughly detailed, the crew was prepared and worked quickly and did the job professionally and Rick followed up to make sure it was done to our satisfaction. I would like to never roof again, but M&M made it less painful.

Excellent. The work was done professionally, and in a very timely manner (2 days, start to finish). They provided a quote with all applicable insurance copies, and showed up right on time the day promised. The crew worked hard, and after completion, the foreman came by to check out the work and make sure we were satisfied with their effort. Their clean-up of the area was superb.

Contacted 3 companies for quotes after reviewing Angie's List Reviews. M&M was very quick to respond, first by phone and then in person. They prepared a detailed cost estimate after an onsite visit, and sent me a full package detailing their work products and experience. They also had a website with great information available. Their crew performed the roof replacement in January 2007. 90% was finished in one day, then the rest finished off the next morning, which was good for my roof size. They protected my swimming pool from damage, and did a good job on cleanup. The crew chief was efficient, and the company rep/estimator was very knowledgeable, and checked on the crew and visited with me during the job. Overall, I was very happy.

Their office phone was answered(not a tape). Rick Shelton, the NW area Manager made a detailed printed estimate quickly and left us a folder with detailed references and certifications, and letters from satisfied customers-all let me know we had the right company! Rick got the crew out within 5 days-I was impressed. Rick Shelton did a great job explaining the roofing process, what to look for and what his company's process is like. The crew was prompt, worked quickly, cleaned up well, and made the experience as painless as possible. All the work was explained, as more leaks were found, we were informed. The debris was removed after each session. The manager came out again and walked around picking up anything they missed and pointing out the pertinent factors of the new roof. His advice to get permission from the HOA was invaluable! I would use them again, I recommend them highly! We chose to use them because they do business to the best of their abilities. Very impressive!

Bernard came out to inspect some siding that appeared to have water damage. He removed two sections & exposed a leaking pipe inside the wall. After a plumber made repairs, he came back & replaced the siding with hardiplank. Bernard was personable and easy to work with. I give M&M mostly Bs on this job because there were minor irritants in each category. Bernard handled the job himself instead of going through the central office. This meant no one at the office could back him up when he had urgent personal matters to attend to. The inside sheetrock was partially exposed to damp weather for about 10 days. The repair was somewhat expensive, though well worth it in terms of quality. Some holes appeared in the inside wall after the repair. Bernard thought this was due to weak studs allowing the sheetrock to vibrate during the repair process. The plumbing repair may have contributed. I got an apology but no offer to repair. We would recommend them for siding.

Travis Diekman was our contact and returned my inquiry immediately. Estimate was done in quick time frame as well as project. In climate weather held up the project yet Travis called every day to give an update. Very good customer service and support.

They came as promised and the job was done in less than ten minutes and used maybe less than 1/4 tube of caulking. They also mentioned that they did not see and major problems but would caulk the areas where furnace, chimney etc. came out.

M&M was very responsive. They called me back on the same day I left a message and followed up with an estimate a couple of days later. I also refereed my neighbor (we live in connecting townhomes and she had issues with her roof as well). M&M coordinated both jobs together. While repairing my roof, the roofer noticed additional minor damage in another area and tried to call me to get authorization for the repair. They couldn't reach me, so they made a judgment call and did the repair anyway. The additional repair did not cost that much, but since it wasn't authorized, they offer to spit the difference with me. Very cool.

M&M responded quickly to our phone call and sent a representative out to perform an estimate within just a day or two. He happily provided two estimates, one for repair of the skylight and one for removal. When we made our decision about which approach to take, they scheduled the removal quickly due to heavy rains, provided an excellent recommendation for the inside drywall repair and patching, and completed the job in just a few hours on a Saturday afternoon. The repair and replacement roofing looks great.

Overall, good service. This work was done on my rental home. The estimate was adhered to. The salesman took the time to explain all of my options and time-frames for work. I was kept informed of the entire process. Accidental damage to my air conditioner occurred, and the company shared the cost of replacement with me. The salesman also handled my tenants well, who were very troublesome to work with and not cooperative during the process. I would recommend this company.

The experience was excellent. In spite of my difficult schedule and a rainy summer in Houston, work was completed with a minimum of problem. Information on roofing materials was provided prior to contract execution. An estimate was provided that I used to compare to bids from other roofing companies. Phone calls were promptly returned and questions clearly answered. Workmanship was excellent, and crews did an excellent job of removing trash and cleaning the site up. Best of all, I have no roof leaks from a complicated roof structure. A ten year guarantee gives me some confidence in the quality of the work performed. The company was not the least expensive, but the work performed was of superior quality.

Very professional approach to estimate and following questions. Work was performed in a timely manner. Quality of work was very good. Clean-up was acceptable, but they could have been more deligent in cleanig up debris.

Price quote was lowest, which was great considering the reputation of this company. M&M delivered required Hardie material to driveway on pallet. Work crew arrived as scheduled to begin work. Removed old siding in one day. Installed Hardie siding and trim over a period of two days. Returned several days later to prepare siding for painting (caulk and cover nail heads) - took one day. Returned a few days later to paint using high-pressure sprayer for acreage and brush for trim - took two days. Quality of siding installation and paint job is good. Job site was cleaned up well. Very satisfied with end product.

M & M Roofing contacted me and he was very courteous and professional. But I was not able to meet with him because my daugher in law was having surgery.

Very nice, quick response, accomodating, good communication and good price.

Came for appointed time but wasn't ready to do evaluation.

Man, I do not get this. We did everything right: joined Angie's List to get a recommendation, checked the BBB. These guys were praised to the skies and I have to say their sales pitch was very reassuring. So far, though, the follow through has been disturbing. The estimate got messed up (that was OK, anybody can make a mistake). The estimator kept claiming he was waiting for an answer from us on questions, he hadn't asked. The crew has arrived and it doesn't look like they have the specialized knowledge to work with these materials. The job will take longer than we were told and I'm now apprehensive that the bill will be considerably greater, ''binding estimate'' and ''signed contract'' not withstanding. I'd like to see if I can replace this report later with one that's far happier, right now, it's not looking good.

I only wish all contractors were this customer oriented. Mike Moncure was attentive, answered all questions (even multiple times!), and made certain things went smoothly. His teams are very stable! He knows his people, visits the sites frequently, and didn't hesitate to get on the phone to talk to workers when questions arose. During the roofing project, there was a team continuously cleaning up! They covered the pool during the day and uncovered it at night so we could use it. I have no frame of reference for what a roof should cost, but my neighbors who are meticulous had also used this company and were pleased. I would definitely use this company again. I also used them for siding and exterior house painting.

Mike Moncure certainly knows how to listen to customers. He answered questions & visited the site frequently. His team did a meticulous job of painting & fretted over how our house wasn't built on the square nor level (are any?). The team was punctual, paid attention to leaving the site clean each day, & remembered that we had a pet who used the yard each night (fence had to be set back in place each night). This job was sequenced with a roof replacement. The teams were professional, courteous, & everything you could hope for. We are probably not the easiest people to work with, but they always handled our concerns with grace. I don't know how much it should cost to apply siding & paint a house, but I am very happy with the results from this company. They also do other remodeling & we are considering another project next spring. We will be calling them.

We had a bad experience - the man was very nice on the phone, however the estimator was quite rude. We had a leak in our roof that needed repairing. He looked at it and said, ''I need to make money off this'' (implying the job was too small to make money). Then he never called us with an estimate.

The roof re-shingled by M&M was not mine, but my neighbor's. Under the pretense of asking if they could cover our things on the side of our house facing the neighbors getting the roofing job, M&M got access to the side of our house and proceeded to begin removing my neighbor's shingles onto MY property. I went to check what was going on before I went to work and discovered this. I very clearly told them to remove their equipment from my property, that they had no right to be on my property. My husband followed up with a call to the office and was assured that the situation would be remedied. I was concerned about whether it would be, so I came home at lunch to check. Incredibly, M&M had continued to roof the house next door on MY property. All of the ladders, shingles, nails, etc. were on my property. I called and was told it would be remedied and picked up. Two days later and numerous calls later there is still roofing trash and nails on my property.

I called a total of 4 times requesting someone to come by and give me an estimate. Each time I was assured that they would call and gave me a reason why I had not been followed up. Yet still no one followed up. Very poor responsiveness.

Extremely pleased with response time; gave me estimate 2 days after I called; roof was repaired 3 days later. Professional and prompt. Reasonable price.

Mr. Darrin Finn, the salesman, was helpful and stayed in contact until the job was complete. Will use M&M again. Job was done on time, by a friendly crew. Price was appropriate and fair. I was especially surprised that no money was requested up front, and I was invoiced for the work after the job was done.
