Nathan came out to inspect a garage roof for a house we were considering to buy and let us know it had some issues and would probably be leaking inside a year. We bought it and it leaked just as he said it would, so we hired him to replace it. Got the job done in a day for a reasonable price and we're very happy. He was not pushy at all and let us come back to him when we were ready. I would definitely use them again.

It was fantastic from start to finish. No BS, not once did I feel like I was being taken for a ride. Up front, honest, extremely professional from the initial phone call on. Chris came to the house to assess what needed to be done and continued on as our contact person through out the process, which if you have ever been handed off from one person to another and another... , you know the value of this. The price was right, the work professional-on time, no mess whatsoever left behind, it looks good, and Chris came and did what I call a quality check-went up on roof making sure everything was done as we had discussed-as it should be, yes, but seriously who does this anymore? It was an absolute pleasure to have these guys out to the house-I will totally call upon them in the future and let everyone I know about my awesome experience. Now don't go changing M & M! You are doing it RIGHT!

On 9/25 I spoke with Jessica @ M&M's office who said Bernard would call me shortly. He did call me in a reasonable amount of time and set an appointment for Tuesday, Oct. 1 @ 9:00 am to inspect my roof which I identified was a third story townhouse roof. At 8:00 am on Tuesday, Oct 1, Bernard called me to let me know that there had been some rain in the area and it wasn't safe to go on the roof and wanted to reschedule. There may have been some rain in the area during the night, but at 8:15 am the roof looked dry as did the area surrounding my house and the sun was out. I rescheduled for 11:30 am on Saturday morning in the interest of safety. On Saturday morning at 11:30 no one showed up for the appointment or called to reschedule. At 12:35 pm I called the M&M office and left a message for someone to call me and explain. At 12:45 on Saturday I called Bernard's cell phone and talked with Bernard. Bernard informed me that his crew had looked at my roof that morning and thought it was too steep for them. I had seen no one pull into my driveway all morning. I found it strange that if they had seen my roof they would not have knocked on my door or at least called me to tell me that they declined to do the job. When I asked Bernard why he hadn't called me to cancel, he said that his crew had just now called him, over an hour after the appointment time. I then confirmed with him that M&M could not inspect my 3rd Floor roof and that I should call someone else. Scott Vance

Nathan did a fabulous job responding to all of my questions, making sure I understood what repairs needed to be made and where. They even put a rush on the job to beat an incoming storm. The follow up call was greatly appreciated, too!

M&M was very professional, did a fantastic job with the new roof, and was competitive on price based on other estimates we got. The guys removed the old roof and put a new roof on our house and garage in two days flat-- don't think I've ever seen people work that hard before. There were a few nails lying around after they left-- I'm still finding them almost two months later, but to a certain extent I think this is unavoidable with getting a completely new roof. Would definintely hire them again-- no headache moments that you get with most contractors. Just so others are aware, the roofers will work until sundown every night. Normally I prefer to have contractors gone by 6pm every day but it did allow for the job to get done quickly.

I called M&M for a roof replacement estimate after having a leak into the house. Rick Shelton came out and looked at it the next day. He recommended an emergency roof repair because he informed me it was going to rain the following weekend, which it did. They did it a day later for a good price and it looked really nice even though it is just a temporary fix. It rained pretty hard all day Saturday and when I got home the carpet was dry! Rick Shelton was informative and returned all my calls promptly. He looked at my insurance policy with me and I believe he accurately answered my questions. I will do business with M&M in the future and based on the quick, high quality and low priced roof repair I would recommend them to a friend.

Dave Mase was very helpful when we couldn't decide what color of gutter would look best on our house. The work crew did an excellent job installing the gutters. We are very pleased with the quality of workmanship and professionalism. We will definitely use the again for work on our home.

Overall, it turned out okay. There was a little bit of an issue whenever they did the work. I would just say they went back and corrected the issue. When they made the correction, they wanted some additional money to make the correction. I felt like them being experts in that area, they should've caught that the first time. I think they tried to make it work. It was just a little bit of a hassle but overall, it turned out okay. When they initially came out, they said they were going to tear all of that down and replace it all. So when they came and did it, they actually left some of those 4 x 4 posts and used some those because the wood wasn't rotten and just redecked the top of the back porch area. So when I went over to look at it, those 4x4 posts weren't sitting at a 90 degree angle like it was supposed to. They came back and said, "Well, the old one that was put up before was not space correctly so we just redecked the top and kept that existing." They clearly told me it was inferior work and the idea was they were going to come in there and redeck it and fix everything to where it would be up to code, be solid, and be alright. They actually said they would pull out those 4x4's if they had to. So they ended up deciding to keep them in to minimize their work. Then they tried to say because it's leaning it's not their fault. "Well, you said you were going to make it all right. You were going to fix everything and get it where it needed to be." It was an inferior job two years before by some other contractor before I bought the house. So then they came out and tried to straighten it up a little bit. They got it better but still not great. I think the other part of the work they did was very good. Their price was probably a little bit higher than the other bids I had gotten. I felt with their experience, that it was worth paying more money. I would probably use them again for a different scope of work. I would have it defined out and have them sign off for it before they start because they didn't do that properly.

The roof over my garage was leaking in several places and needed to be replaced. I called and got an appointment for an estimate and Nathan got in touch with me. When he showed up for the estimate, he was very nice, professional, and helpful. We got up on the roof and I showed him the problem areas. He told me about multiple options, including repair instead of replacement, and answered all of my questions. Based on some of my concerns, Nathan had the opportunity to try to recommend a lot more work. He discussed the option of doing more, but recommended just what was necessary (this always impresses me about any kind of repair). I ended up going with a partial replacement, and he worked up an estimate in about 15 minutes. The repair was completed a couple of weeks ago. While the workers were there, they showed me the extent of the damage after the shingles were pulled up and made sure that I was okay with replacing the panels they thought needed to be replaced. Once again, they only recommended what was necessary, instead of trying to upsell. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience. I had read a lot of the reviews on this website before contacting M & M. I did notice some people had issues getting in touch with the office. In my experience, the main office could probably do a better job of returning phone calls timely, but this was nothing that would put me off of the service. Plus, Nathan was always on the spot when getting back to me.

After calling for a quote, Joe Harris came to provide an estimate on the date promised. Later, he brought samples back for a product he had described as an alternative to asphalt shingles. I received an estimate shortly afterwards and he answered questions when I called to discuss the estimate. After accepting the estimate, Joe ordered the product and scheduled a start/completion time upon arrival of the shingles. A two man crew came to do the project as scheduled. They completed the job on time and completely removed all materials upon completion. This was the best turn-key home project I have had done and the gazebo roof looks excellent. I would recommend Joe and the crew to others. Fair price, timely start and completion on a relatively small job that other contractors would not have taken as seriously...it was important to me. And best of all, my wife likes it! CB

Very well. MM were great! They did everything as we had discussed and did it right. Our deck looks great and the rotten boards are now gone. They made sure to match our siding and trim paint perfectly. The attention to detail was what really made the difference. The roof in the front of the house has a visible sag that is no longer detectable at all. After the job, we noticed a couple of small things that had been overlooked. Not to worry! Mike from MM came back and completed the work personally. Sometimes, after payment this does not occur. Even though I had already paid, Mike made sure to get back to the house very quickly to finalize every detail. I will DEFINITELY hire MM again! One more thing, after the estimate meeting with Mike, he took extra time to walk around my house and find all other areas that needed attention. And by the way, the other roofing company I had out for an estimate never even bothered to send me the estimate.

My son is a Marine who is dealing with 100% disability due to PTSD, so I handle most of his affairs. I called M & M roofing after he reported to me that water had damaged the floor in his dining room. Rick Shelton responded quickly and after inspecting the roof told us that the roof was fine. The problem was old mortar above an upstairs window that needed to be repaired. He took my son up the ladder and showed him where he had found the cracked mortar and explained to him how he could repair the problem. Since my son's disability leaves him on a very limited budget, we really appreciate Rick's honesty and integrity. He told me that the roof is ok for now, but will probably need to be replaced within the next few years...just keep an eye on it and when we do develop a real leak, then it needs to be replaced. When the does happen, we will definitely be calling M & M roofing to do the job! Thank you!

Extremely professional, punctual, and responsive. The price was fair, the work was done on time and the result appears (to the eyes of a non-expert) to be high quality. And, they were able to work directly with the insurance company to minimize my effort. Highly recommended.

They were very good. They showed up, they did very good work, looks great. They had a challenge around our patio cover and did good there, no leaks, looks great. The salesman was Rich Shelton. There was one bump in the road, nails in the driveway. We receive a flat tire due to a nail in the driveway and he refunded the money for the tire.

In the course of having a number of contractors out to my home in the Heights to bid the work, I was most impressed with Bernard (M&M Roofing, Siding, and Windows). He actually lives in the area and was helpful in providing suggestions about the best way to do the work and achieve the best result. I selected M&M over four other contractors. I was a little nervous that I wouldn't see Bernard again once the work commenced, but I was proven wrong on the first day of the job when he was the first to arrive. He came back several times that day as they removed the old siding and help supervise the crew as they worked with an excellent electrician (Arise Enterprises) who was upgrading my home's electrical service. He was on my job every day and was extremely responsive to any questions I had for him. His crew supervisor (Oscar) was exceptional and constantly checked in with me to see if I had any questions. Bottomline: They went above and beyond for me and did an incredible job. M&M is fortunate to have people like Bernard and Oscar working for them. If I need additional work done, they'll be my first call.

We were very pleased with the work and the crew that came to our home. Really impressed with the cleanup afterwards. The company was easy to deal with.

Great. The roofing part was all completed in one day. They had a large crew who worked together well.

Replaced roof that was nearing end of current service life. M&M was very professional throughout the process. Nathan (manager) was knowledgeable, sensitive to the need to avoid disruption to the surrounding community and very responsive. He explained the technical issues with the initial roof installation and how these would be rectified with the new installation. The work site was well controlled with debris and the spread of materials kept to a minimum. Clean-up at the end was thorough. While it's hard to judge the technical quality of the actual roofing work at this early stage, based on my interactions with M&M and the other reviews, I expect it will stand up.

A representative came to our house and walked the roof. The initial discussion was very friendly until we mentioned our mortgage company was CitiMortgage. He stated that he didn't like working with them. He promised to provide an estimate in 2-3 days. He didn't provide the estimate and he did not return phone our calls or emails. Since this review was posted, they have called us daily to try to convince us to change our review. We've listened to the voicemails, but we don't feel obligated to call back a company who refused to return our calls.

This is second time we went with M&M. The first experience 3 years ago was A+ experience. This one was not so stellar but still good enough to get an overall A. We had Dave the salesman come and quote us some windows for the house. Initially we wanted same windows that we got last time (Burris - single hung), but he convinced us to go with Mastic double hung on premise that they had more features and lower price. Quote process went well, and the next day we had someone come measure windows and order was placed. 4 weeks passed and we had to prompt Dave to check on our windows several times, but eventually windows came in. The grid type was wrong, but we accepted it becuase we did not want to wait any longer. The crew was there Sat and Sun installing windows. They did a great job doing so. We ended up getting partial refund for mistake with the grid, but didn't really get an appology that they screwed up. So besides the mix up with the grid, all went well. I still think that Burris windows we got in our other house are of better quality as they go up and down easier and have smaller frame, but we are happy with Mastic windows that were installed.

The job was estimated by Mr. Nathan Contello. His proposal was the most detailed of the three estimates we received. After visiting with him, the project was awarded to M&M with pre-established extra costs identified should the need arise. All three bids were highly rated by Angie's List. At the time of the work award, M&M was not low bid. M&M arrived on site on time and completed the work in one day, as had been discussed earlier. The crew was experienced and worked steadily until completion. Discovery work was identified as there was two existing roofs that had to be removed as opposed to the one that was thought to be present. The additional cost to remove this second roof was nominal. But the plywood sheathing had to be replaced on the entire roof (approximately 13 4'X8' sheets). This amount of damage was not anticipated though it was known that some sheets would have to be replaced. The additional work did not impact the schedule and the demolition and replacement was readily handled. The pre-negotiated rate for sheathing replacement was applied to determine the extra cost for the sheathing replacement. Mr. Contello was present on the jobsite most of the day and handled items as they arose safely and efficiently. At the end of the day, the total cost of the work was less than if we had gone to the low bidder, as the low bidder had a higher unit rate for the replacement of the plywood sheathing. Having spent my career working with contractors, I was impressed with the way that Mr. Contello and M&M conducted their business.

Dave Mase came out to check out a potential roof issue. After spending approximately an hour thoroughly checking the roof inside and out, he determined nothing was wrong. When I asked how much I owed, he said nothing. I was shocked. He could have taken advantage of me and told me I needed a new roof but he was honest. I appreciate that and will definitely use him for any roofing, siding or window needs in the future

They went right to work and finished it in 2 days. Very good job. Very good company

Our roof was badly damaged by hailstorms. It is a very large, hip style roof with many changes in elevation. Mike McCollum from M&M roofing spent a lot of time up there in the heat getting accurate measurements for the bid. We had obtained some other bids, but were very impressed with Mike, and the great Angie's list reviews for M&M, so we struck the deal. They were able to start work in a few days, and I was even more impressed with how careful the crew was to make sure most of the stripped existing roof was caught on tarps and loaded into a trailer. They ran magnetic pick-ups through the yard regularly to ensure stray nails did not get embedded. Each day they stripped off old roof and re-shingled what they had removed, instead of stripping off everything with one crew and leaving the bare plywood open to the elements while waiting for a different crew to lay the shingles. Very efficient! Everything was completely picked up and cleaned up at the end of each workday (only 3). The new shingles look fantastic, and we could not be happier with our experience with M&M!
