M & M Roofing Co Inc

I selected M&M based on Angie's List reviews, and requested an estimate for a leak that had appeared over my garage. They took a while to respond (but to be fair, it was the holidays), and ultimately sent a technician (Jose Perez). When the technician arrived, he went up on the roof and we both went up into the attic above the garage. He informed me that the leak was coming from the flashing at the edge of the garage, and he also indicated that the nearby valley looked good and it did not seem like the leak was coming from there. At the time he left, he said he needed to get going before actually providing the estimate, but would email me a quote that evening. Approximately 14 days later, after 3 emails and 2 phone calls, I received an email quote (the technician indicated he originally sent the quote to the wrong email address, which I can understand). The quote included repairing the flashing but also removing and repairing shingles from the valley. None of my 3 calls or 2 emails trying to understand this were ever returned. Most importantly (the thing that makes me give an F overall rating), when I contacted a new vendor, they came out, and were able to tell within 15 minutes that the leak in my attic and garage was not coming from the flashing, but that there were nail holes literally through several shingles over the leak (possibly due to the original builder's roofing company improperly installing a footboard). The other vendor took photos to show me the damaged shingles and showed that the water coming in could not be coming from the flashing, but was coming directly from the unsealed holes. The communication problems I can forgive, but the incorrect diagnosis of a VERY simple problem makes me sure I would never recommend this vendor to anyone.

M & M roofing accepted a difficult challenge of putting a plastic roof over my leaking glass roof for my Pella sun room. 18 months after the original work, leaves started getting under the flashing and some minor leaks showed up. In January 2016 they were able to come out and try to fix it and over a few days of hard work they fixed it completely. After a heavy rain it did not leak and I recommend them to anyone.

For the most part everything went according to schedule. They were very responsive to phone calls and email and except for one instance always showed up on time. Unfortunately the one time they were late was the day I took off work to be on-site for the facia and soffit replacement as I was using the opportunity to run BNC camera cabling while everything was open. The crew ended up showing up sometime after 1 and then ate lunch and then started work. Still, stuff happens, everything worked out and I was still able to get the cables run. The work looks great and now I am just waiting for some rain to see how the roof performs. The roof price was about the same with other contractors but the deciding factor was that this contractor has multiple crews that can do more than just the roof such as the soffit and facia. I find it convenient to have a single contractor do all the needed work as opposed to having to contract various items out to different contractors. I have since referred them to some neighbors and my parents.

The workmanship was excellent. They hand-nailed every single shingle in place i.e., did not use a nail gun. It took 3-days to do the work and they worked very efficiently in 98 degree temperatures. Nathan was a pleasure to work with and displayed professionalism and integrity during the entire process. Nathan gave me the addresses of homes that M & M had done with the shingle colors I was interested in for me to review. Nathan also took the time to meet me at his shingle supplier to review shingle colors. I went with the GAF HD product line due to the golden pledge warranty I was able to purchase. It is worth it to the Buy the golden pledge warranty to ensure a quality installation and get an extended warranty from GAF directly. They also had to fabricate and install a section of galvanized metal flashing with a powder coat finish that matched the rest of the roof flashing. It was flawless. I got three quotes for the work before selecting M&M. M&M was not the cheapest quote but had the highest quality work.

Rick came out to assess the job and offered me several options. I invited estimates from other companies and M&M came through with not just a good estimate but with a plan on how to make the roof more energy efficient and long lasting. They showed up early on Thursday and even though I have a large house they were done by Friday afternoon. Other contractors asked me to pay them up front but Rick stipulated that he only wanted money at the end of the job. This gave me more confidence that I was avoiding those fly by night guys that seem to follow each storm. The upshot is that the roof looks like a million dollars.

Installing a new liner on the flat deck was quite an undertaking, the whole porch deck, railings and support under deck had to be stripped away and rebuilt to make a good foundation for a new liner. Then a new TREK deck installed with new railing. My only problem was the length of time that part took, a lot had to do with the weather. Back doors went in smoothly and open correctly now. The 8 or 9 windows were installed within a day. My overall satisfaction was an A and I would have them work again on my home, but next time I would require a time limit on the contract, can't let remodeling drag out 6 months for a 2-3 week job.

Went great, professional. Mom had some trouble getting the Warranty paperwork, but that's the worst thing that happened. All good. Thanks so much.

NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM AT ALL NO BID NO CALL NO NOTHING! WHAT WAS THE POINT OF COMING TO MY HOUSE STOP MY WORK DAY. AND NOT EVEN FOLLOW UP. WHAT A JOKE. IF YOU COULD NOT HANDLE THE JOB A SIMPLE CALL WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE. OR EMAIL. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH SUCH A COMPANY. THANKS FOR NOTHING M&M YOU A RUNNING A POOR COMPANY WITH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Highly satisfied with the job Jose and crew did. Very friendly, hardworking and easy to work with. All work was professionally done and clean up was excellent. Crew not only tarped area below roof but they tarped the swimming pool as well to protect it from falling debris. Ridge vents were a big improvement in ventilation. Magnetic power sweep of area worked amazingly well in picking up wayward nails. Any issues that came up were resolved to our satisfaction. The new roof looks great!

Company never sent a quote. Four follow-up calls to the company were never returned even though I spoke with a live operator each time. Operator said that the company owner was not in and won't return for several days. She gave the same excuse on 3 different weeks.

Great! Showed up when he said he would, work was done in a day. Mike is great to work with, very friendly, answered all my questions. Actually did the work on New Years Eve and we made arrangements for payment the following Monday. Very professional and I would definitely use again AND recommend to others. Thanks!

Mike met at the house for a free estimate. He was honest in where repair was needed and where it wasn't. He noticed where the previous owner had already had the facial boards replaced with Hardi in the back and how the sides of the house were fine. Later, he set up the appointment, then started/completed the job in two days. Mike is a very nice, professional, and patient man. I will use this company again when needed.

This was by far the best service that I have received. I spoke to Chris several times before finally committing to the repairs, and he was very patient and detailed in answering all of my questions. He even showed up with the repair crew to personally look at the leak penetration areas. The repairs were completed within 1 day of receiving the estimate. I would definitely recommend M&M roofing to my friends and family.

Mike McCollom came first to give an estimate for the roof repairs. He was very helpful and clear in explaining the problem areas - he never tried to sell us a new roof or exaggerate the work needed. Then, as scheduled, the team of workers worked very efficiently to replace the ridge caps and completed all caulking of exposed nail heads. Later, Mike stopped by to inspect the work done. Also the follow-up thank you call from the owner, Doug Moncure, showed how committed this company is to its service. Thank you.

Eric was great, came out on short notice and went into attic with me to find problem and sent me over a quote a day later. We scheduled and his crew came out and were fast and efficient and they cleaned up.

The representative never called back. After over a month of waiting and several voice mails trying to contact this individual, given that he had already done a visual inspection of the interior of the house to assess the leak, we are moving on to another company.

I was very satisfied with the experience. Mike Moncure was always responsive and friendly. The work crews were efficient and did a great job- everything is very neat and precise. They cleaned up really well- no debris anywhere. The crew found a few beams that needed repair in the garage, brought it to my attention, and did the work at the proposed additional price. There were a few days between the siding being up and painting starting, and the job started a little later than originally expected, but this was due to weather related delays that I think were perfectly reasonable. They did a great job and I would definitely hire them again.

It went very well. I had to reschedule by a month and they worked with me to make that happen. They arrived on schedule and began work immediately. Because there was a threat of rain they phased the job so that exposure was minimized. They worked quickly and efficiently. Did most of the work in two days with some small details finished on the morning of the third day. Clean up was good. Their representative contacted me every day in person to make sure I was pleased. This is a good company that does quality work. The fact that they do not require a down payment says something about the type of company they are.

We decided to hire someone else. They were very unprofessional. Wasted a lot of our time. All while the black mold from a leak in our leak continues to grow. It was obvious the company did not care about the job.

These guys were excellent! There was no sense of them trying to overcharge me. In fact when the work was done I thought I owed them more but apparently I was wrong. They were professional and prompt. Someone came out to review the work before it was done and then a crew showed up and worked quickly. Just be ready for them and stick to the time you give them because they're coming!!

Initial contact (after Angie's list response) and scheduling were slower than I expected, but courteous and we got it done eventually. My roof job ended up being a small job, but I have some rotted window sills and frames that I wanted repaired/replaced because they are leaking, which seemed reasonable to me for a window and siding company, but they weren't interested in that. I don't want to say I had a bad experience because I didn't they just weren't interested in fixing the rest of my problem.

I called M&M Roofing because if their high rating here, and because I have had a great deal of trouble trying to find a reliable roofing contractor. The woman who answered the phone offered to pass my contact information to their estimator in the Tomball area but cautioned me that they were busy and it might take 2 or 3 days for him to call me. When I followed up on that she told me that she could not guarantee that I would ever get a call back or that M&M would follow through on anything I was told. That seemed unbelievable to me so I asked her twice. I got the same answer; no, she would not guarantee that M&M would follow through on anything. That told me all I needed to know and, despite the high ratings I would have to caution people about doing business with any company that says up front that they will not promise to follow through.

M & M Roofing sent Jose out and he identified the problem and provided an estimate to fix the leaking around flashing and also did a visual inspection of entire roof and identified other areas of the roof that needed maintenance. Work was scheduled and done on time and in a professional manner.

We called M & M after a series of storms led to water coming in to our home through a beam in our ceiling. We were surprised because the previous owner of our home said they had just installed the roof (with another contractor) a year ago. I called several roofing companies, and despite heavy call volume as a result of recent storms, they returned my call right away. The other companies did not. M & M sent Nathan Contello to our house. He was honest, knowledgeable, and very professional. It was an extremely difficult leak to find and in an unusual place, but he would not give up until it was found. He also took pictures of what he was doing and took the time to explain exactly what had happened. We will definitely call M & M for all our roofing needs and will recommend them to friends and neighbors!

The original vents on my roof had neoprene boots that with time had deteriorated and started to leak. M&M was hired to replace the neoprene boots with lead jacks. M&M?s craftsmanship was poor and the foreman never went on the roof to supervise and ensure the quality of the final installation. They also missed a couple of vents and had to come out a second time to finish the job. They charged $2000 which seemed excessive for the mediocre quality they delivered.
