So this is part two. In part one, it was a bad start...which typically is a foreshadow of things to come. Sure enough, it got worse. We wanted a glued down engineered wood floor (about 400 sq ft). The salesman came and sold my wife on the idea of a floating installation rather then glued. The install was awful. Everything was moving, creeking, the sound and feel was unbearable. When we confronted the installer when he was finished...he smiled and told us that he told his supervisor that an engineered floor installed as floating over concrete was not a good idea even before they started. The supervisor did not tell us anything. After sending photos, videos, etc to LL Flooring...first they said, "this is normal. give it 7 days and it will go away." We waited five and told them it was not getting better. They agrees to rip it out and install glued down. They wanted to charge us for the removal, re-installation and all materials (we paid for pads and moisture barrier that got thrown out and now we had to pay for the glue). We also had to buy new quarter round and extra flooring in case they damaged during the removal. During the removal we saw many errors with the padding overlapping (hence creating a high and low spots). Mind you that we paid extra for the self-levelling and moisture seal which was installed initially. The glued installation actually looks and feels like a real wood floor...however, there are fairly large gaps between planks (see glue in the gaps), splotches of glue all over the floor to clean up, glue coming out from under the tee-molds, all the closet and door handles covered in sticky glue, and the Pergo floor in the adjacent room covered with drop / splots of dried glue. Here is the best part...the floor was $6.99/sq ft. By the time we paid for the re-install, the total cost came out just under $20/sq ft. I could have gotten a beautiful marble floor installed for less than that. instead we have a rough looking floor with huge gaps, glue peeking out from tee-mold and between slats, and a mess to clean up. DO NOT USE LL FLOORING and DO NOT INSTALL FLOATING ENGINEERED WOOD. If someone tries to sell you on such an installation....RUN!!!

Off to a bad start. Not only do they make you pick up your wood (or charge a huge delivery fee), but then they ask you to come back and pick up their installation materials. This is after they said that the installer will bring everything else. Also, they try to sell you and ask you to pick up the materials before they even come out to measure. I recommend getting everything from them in writing. I have a bad feeling about the installation that will happen later this week.

This is by far one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. The sales process was fine, they were very helpful. After that, they didn't seem to care much. Even today after I returned the excess wood, they asked me how it went and I told them not well. They asked no follow up questions, shrugged their shoulders and could have cared less. I should have known how the process was going to go when they delivered the wood. They dropped if off at the curb despite us paying for inside delivery. A week later, the installers showed up, Antonio and one other guy. Vince was our estimator and I'll get back to him later. Within a couple of hours, after removing a small kitchen floor, the "other guy" starting installing the floor. We stopped him and asked if he was going to level the floor before he started. He said he didn't have any on the truck. I showed him the receipt and showed him that we had paid for it. He said I could go get it if I wanted. I told him not a chance, to go get it. I called the store and even they said I could come get it. In fact, he asked what kind of car I drove to see if it would fit. I told them all, go get the leveling material and do it right and what we paid for. After a couple of trips and about a week, the floor was ready to be installed. He again started in the far part of the room despite us telling him we wanted him to start along the most visible wall so that full boards would be visible. I even showed him how I wanted it done. I felt that even though I know next to nothing about installing wood floors, I still knew more than these two. Let me add that only one of them spoke broken English. The other no English. It made communicating almost impossible. Vince, our long lost crew chief, was bilingual, but showed up only once and answered the phone on a couple of occasions. His job was to do the measurements and we were short one 100 sq ft roll of underlayment and one stair trim piece. Both times, I had to go get the material. Not sure what he did when he actually measured the job. Back to the install. Most of it went in fairly well but the kitchen had a big bubble in the middle after the floor was laid. I asked them to fix it. After much fussing and cursing by the installers, they did it. It still looks poor. The "other guy" must have been fairly new. He butchered more cuts on the wood and quarter rounds than I have ever seen. I bet he cost us at least a case of wood and half the quarter rounds, and yes, I had to go buy more. I will skip the rest of the story but I am so fed up, we are hiring another contractor to come in and finish/repair the job. Do not do business with Lumber Liquidators. You get what you pay for and paying less for the wood is not worth the aggravation you will encounter with their install personnel.

Description of Work: I used Lumber Liquidator's installers to install floating Bamboo Flooring. They did a horrible job and I sued them in small claims court. The floor was reinstalled but not to my satisfaction. I will never do business with this company ever again.

I spent $5000 plus. The salesperson and the installer working together with me were the 2 people who got me off the fence to buy. They were good people. I'm not an easy sell. You have to convince me to spend my money. They made me feel comfortable.

I am doing my closets with them and I bought the good quality product with them. They sent me to another store location that had the flooring that I was interested in, so I could see it in a bigger sample. I have been really happy with them. I have had them do 3 different flooring jobs.
Description of Work: They were the suppliers of my hardwood flooring. I am now using their product to match the same wood that I already have.

I can't say anything bad about this purchase. Ace, the store manager followed through on all commitments and Frankie's installation crew did the best job of installing any wood floor that I have ever seen. Brazilian cherry consists of many different board types with varied grains and colors that must be sorted from all of the boxes. Frankie and his crew pulled boards from five different boxes to ensure randomness. In addition to hand-picking each board for color and grain, they also varied the board lengths to create a totally natural look. The installation crew went above and beyond what I have seen installed in most houses. I highly recommend these guys.

They forgot to put my work order in, so I have all of this wood flooring sitting here in my home with no one to install it! I have attempted to have them take care of this issue, but they have not been responsive! 1. They are very overpriced to install flooring. 2. They don't come when they are supposed to come. They fired a bunch of qualified installers! They don't care about you after they have your money! I'm sitting here camping because I am waiting for this flooring to be installed and have all of my things moved around in the house! No TV, no computer, nothing while I am waiting on these people! I was promised they would be here today and they still aren't here! Seeking refund for the labor! They have great materials-- just RUN from their labor sales!!!

have been better served by Lowe's
Description of Work: The quality of the materials was excellcent and the finished work was well done;however, the two gentlemen who installed the product first said it would be two days, then later in the evening of the first day, one of the men called to say they would not be back until the day after (Wednesday) because the texture they used would not be dry until Wednesday (they had to have known that when they left--it was at least four hours after they left that we were called regarding the delay. When they came on Wednesday, there were numerous personal calls which caused them to take longer to install the product. Our TV did not function properly -- I had specifically asked one gentleman if he could reconnect the TV,and he was adament that he could. Neither asked where we wanted the office furniture--so I had to put it in the right place. The floor was left with dirt and fuzz, which took me time to remove--also, there were places with a black substance I had to remove from the floor and my newly painted walls. Unprofessional work should not be tolerated. In addition, their truck would not start--my husband and a neighbor helped them fix the truck, so it would start. The installation manager did not work for Lumber Liquidators--nor did he have an office from which to work. He was to call us on Sunday to inform us when the workers would arrive--he never called. We awoke early Monday, but the workers did not appear until 10:00 am. We were short three pieces of trim which the managers of the installers had measured wrong, and my husband had to drive back to Liquid Lumberdators to purchase. Our problems were not with Lumber Liquidators, but with the installer who hung out there since he had no office. However, when we signed the contract, we were unaware the installation services were not a division or part of their company, nor was the supervisor of installation associated with the company. We ended paying $200 more than we would have at Lowe's, but we would
