All went well, I need to have the duct cleaned and we will have Lords do it soon

Billy showed up on time and he and his helper went right to work. My fireplace hasn't been used in years because I didn't know if it was even safe. While Billy did recommend replacing the old thing he was honest and said I could get another one or two years out of it. Provided quote for replacement as well as service that would help "get me by" for a couple of years. They cleaned my very disgusting fireplace without judgement, bless them. (I've been afraid to stick my hand it there...filthy). I haven't gotten another bid on the future work yet and usually get 3 bids. However, Billy seems like a straight arrow and I appreciate that immensely. I'll look forward to having them out to do the necessary work.

Lee thoroughly explained what he was seeing and why it happened. Not only is there no chimney cap but the flashing of the chimney had been leaking (I recently repaired) and caused the rot. It has probably gone on for years unnoticed. We discussed my options for replacement. I do not want to use the fireplace at all, so our conversation was lengthy. He took the time to go over it and over it again as I continued to ask about this and about that. The one good piece of news he gave me was that my chimney appeared to be stable. He never rushed me or made me feel like he needed to hurry to the next appointment. He was courteous, helpful and confident in what he does for a living. He made me feel comfortable and like I could trust him. I still don't know exactly what I will do about the fireplace itself but I do plan to have Lords come out and do the chimney work. He said I need and gave me an estimate for: sealing the chimney top, power washing the entire exterior structure of the fireplace and chimney, fix the mortar where it has chipped or crumbled, and put a coating of sealant. Total estimate was approximately $1500.

A squirrel fell down my chimney and was caught just above the flue in my fireplace. I called for someone to come get the squirrel out of the chimney. This was about 10 am. Lord Chimney said that they would try to get out that day to release the squirrel. The squirrel was scratching on the metal liner of the chimney. About 3 pm they called and said that a tech was available. Lee came out and explained what he had to do to get the squirrel out. He put a bucket in the middle of the fireplace. He covered the bucket with a tarp. With this in place, he would open the flue and catch the squirrel in the bucket. He warned me that sometimes he would have to catch the squirrel with his hands. He opened the flue and nothing happened. So he closed the flue and opened it again. The squirrel did not go in the bucket, he did catch the squirrel. He walked to the door. I let him out. He told me to close the door and then he would let the squirrel go. The squirrel ran off with no damage.

They were very professional and took great care when removing the siding. Unfortunately the wood siding was old and some pieces broke when removed. The provider offered to replace the broken pieces, but since I was having the house painted in a couple of weeks, they just put a tarp over the exposed part. | |They told me to burn at least 2 fires a year and I have. I have had no problems and would definitely recommend Lord's Chimney to others.(Sorry, I don't remember the cost.)

Inspected fireplace/chimney internal & external. Replaced top of chimney with a new one.

They checked out our chimney for possible obstructions that might account for smoke filling the house. It turned out that our chimney had no significant obstructions. They explained that the real problem was that we were creating a draft in the wrong direction by starting the fire when we had windows open in other parts of the house.

The house was built in 1982. The chimney interior was not well done at all. We have owned the home since 2000 and had not built a real fire. It was a good thing we had the chimney inspected before we installed gas logs. Lords Chimney seemed expensive, but considering the extensive repair required we were good to go...........the fiber optic camera was an excellent tool to show the amount of flu and firebox leaks that needed to be repaired. The spark arrester had never set properly and that was because the flu tiles were not run to the top of the chimney. Lord's Chimney broke all the work down by pieced so we could have elected to do only parts at a time......They have a full line of services. The work was done in the time estimate they said. I now have a safe and fully functional fireplace.

Billy came out and showed me with a camera what the problems were. He went on the roof and inspected from the top-down. Wrote the estimate and made an appointment to do the work as he had to block out and entire day. The work was done very well, the job site was left clean - couldn't have gone better!

When I called the company the guy that answered the phone was very nice and helpful. The guys showed up on the the scheduled day on time. They fixed the problem I was having with my gas log fire place, and showed me how to work everything. They were very courteous and helpful. I would use them again.

Just moved in recently and wanted chimney inspected and cleaned if needed. The Initial call for service was handled with great professionalism; knew exactly when they would come, who would come and estimated cost. Serviceman, Billy, called before coming out. When I greeted the servicemen at the door, he immeidately introduced himself and his helper and gave me a card. They put covers over their shoes before entering. The service was done very professionally and efficiently He explained my chimney was in good shape and no cleaning was needed at this time. I highly recommended this vendor and will definitely use them every year.

Lords Chimney did the work and they did a good job. I was happy with their service, but honestly, I don't remember the details of the price (insurance was involved) or how long things took.

Every job has turned out great, which is why we have hired them several times. They are always here on time, and are very helpful. Everyone that has ever come out has always been able to answer any questions I have. They always send a crew and a supervisor to each job. Although the crews change, the quality does not - it is always top notch. They cover their shoes and show up in uniform, which is also very nice. They are always very courteous.

They were very professional. We had no issues. They called right away after I left them a voicemail, and were very responsive. They put on shoe covers so they wouldn't mess up the wood floor. They were very courteous.

They attempted to repair our igniter, but the piece ended up breaking so they had to replace it. It took about 3 months for them to complete the job, but that is probably because they had to order the replacement piece and we have an older model fireplace. The job ended up being fine at the end, and I found them to be very professional.

They were courteous, professional, and polite. They were so clean, that we couldn't even tell they were here after the work was done! They pointed out a crack in the fireplace, but did not try to sell me on any repair work or additional services, which I appreciated. They did a great job, and I would definitely use them again for any chimney services.

They were very professional and friendly. They showed me with a camera where the chimney was rusting, so they could not do just a simple sweep. I felt they told me all available options, and that they weren't trying to sell me services I didn't need. When they were doing the work, they spread towels over the floor so the ashes wouldn't get all over the place. In order to get into the chimney, they had to tear off the wood paneling on the outside of the house. I was already having the paneling and siding replaced for a separate job that was taking place a couple weeks later. They made sure to put a tarp over the area where the paneling was, because it was unsalvageable and being replaced anyway.

Perfectly. they were prompt in scheduling the appointment and on time. The technician was well groomed, courteous and clearly explained to us of the issues. He made tall he repairs and we have had not further isssues witht the fireplace.

I have a leak that 3 different roofers could not located. The 3rd roofer speculated the chimney vent cap being at a slight angle might be the cause the leak, so i called Lords June 10th. They made an appointment and inspected the vent. They were dubious that it was in fact the skewed vent cap causing this occasional leak, and suggested to replace the roof jack. I had to try something, so I instructed them to proceed with replacing the chimney roof jack. They scheduled a future appointment to do the work. Lords had a couple of conflicts with the scheduled time, but called and rescheduled each time and that was acceptable. The work was finally done on July 10th. It took them 1.4 hours to do the $600 job. (8:25am - 9:50am per security camera). This is why I gave them a "B" on price, as $600 for 1.4 hours seems a bit steep, but we should never equate speed and efficiency of a worker to price. Another company might have taken 4 hours to complete the same task. I, for one, am happy if a contractor can get in and out a quickly as possible. The problem is, I don't know how long it should take to replace a roof jack, so I believe a "B" was a fair grade on price. Time will tell if this plugs the leak I am after. I still think the skewed chimney vent may be the cause, since the leak only occurs when we have a westerly blowing rain (the cap is skewed to the east thus water can enter under the cap from that angle.) However, Lords Chimney has more experience than I, so I went with their recommendation over mine. I hope they got it!

We've had our dryer vent serviced about 5 years ago because I suspected tint buildup -- burning smell, slow drying time etc... I didn't want that to happen again, so I scheduled an appt for maintenance reasoning. Lee came out and inspected the vent. Everything checked out, no lint buildup etc.... this go round:) If you want peace of mind, give them a call. Lee actually arrived early -- he called first to make sure it was okay. He was our technician 5 years ago too which says a lot about this company. Their prices are a little higher than some, but you get what you pay for.

I have converted my fireplaces to electric. I have 3 chimneys and they fixed them all. They closed the tops off so no water or animals can enter. I would recommend them!

Lord's was very good to let me know when they were coming. They met the terms of the service and did a good job.

I was very pleased with their service. They were very thorough, very courteous, very clean and followed through phone calls. There were no surprises when they came out and catered very good service. Their work was very good. He was in our house a couple of times just taking measurements just to make sure the proper parts to order. They charged fair prices which depended on the work done.
