Description of Work: We just bought this house , and it rained the other day. While raining , it souunded like someone was tossing rocks down the chimney. I called Lords on Monday, and they were able to come out on wednesday. They arrived promptly , were very polite and Lee and Larry explained what was wrong. I had scheduled a cleaning as well as a service call, and Lee was hinest and said everything was clean and it did not need to be cleaned. He could have just done it to get the money. As it turned out , the flashing was leaking water. They could not make the repair today , but I called the office and they will come back on Friday. Also had to buy a damper stop to keep damper open all the way , as it is a gas fireplace. I am happy so far with the service and will use them again in the future.

Description of Work: The chimney person responded within a day of our request. He and his helper were needed to remove a baby squirrel from the fireplace. However before the workers arrived the we managed to put the squirrel in a box and release it. The chimney workers quickly determined that a rusted piece of metal was placed so that the Mama squirrel had a very narrow place to move around. After some discussion the workers offered two possibilities. Either replace the metal (for several hundred dollars) or take the metal piece away (for only the minimum charge for the trip). Since the fireplace is not used, the low-price was chosen. The workers were professional and excellent in every way.

Description of Work: I called Lord's Chimney to inspect a fireplace and chimney in a rental property. I emailed them one day, made an appt the following day and made an appt for the very next day. They were very punctual, professional, called 30 minutes in advance of arriving, wore the little "surgeons' booties" even though I told them that wasn't necessary. Finished the work in a little over an hour, and were on their way. Couldn't have been a more positive experience. Kudos to Lee, my serviceman.

Description of Work: My gas fireplace was turning on automatically and causing the area to heat up. The technician came out to inspect the fireplace, explained that fixing the remote controlled system would cost more than $1000, and simply turned off the gas line. I later had another company look at the fireplace. They cleaned the entire fireplace and replaced the remote for less than $200.
