Because I was pleased with his service, I bought a Big Deal from Angie's List so he could come back to do more work (2 hours)at the discounted rate:2 hrs for $99.He would not schedule the work even though I had prepaid for his services. I am pursuing a discount from Angie's List.
Description of Work: Nothing. This electrician did not want to schedule a time with me. I infer that he didn't feel the compensation was adequate. He did not remember telling me that several electrical problems required follow up.

Description of Work: Installed lights to highlight artwork. Since one of the pieces is on a wall under a vaulted ceiling it was a difficult place to install lighting. Two other electricians couldn't figure out how to do it.

The work was described to LIght-Tech and they immediately began and at the same time suggested options which were implemented based on what we wanted (needed). While they completed the electrical work, we cleaned rabbit cages. All went well with no issues and we are very happy to have this lighting inside the shed.
Description of Work: Light-Tech completed electrical work for my daughter's rabbit shed including lighting and the installation of an outside light during the dark winter months. They were very professional, offering suggestions but not pushing additional work. My daughter is very happy to have both the interior and exterior lighting - so are her parents!

+ -1 moreTony, the president of LIght-Tech, wasn't sure what was causing our electrical problem so he showed up for the service call himself. It turned out the problem was relatively easy to fix and didn't take the whole two hours that I had prepaid for. So he spent the rest of the time doing an overall electrical checkup including review of the whole circuit board panel. He also make several suggestions for timing to replace aging breakers. Overall, Tony did a thorough, professional job and I would most certainly use his services for any future electrical problems.

+ 0 moreI can't say enough good things about Tony Moghaddam, the President of Light-Tech INC. He covered the housecall himself because his other servicemen were held up on other jobs and he wanted to keep the appointment at the specified time. He was very thorough, checked the plugs that needed checking and sadly told me that the bathroom light fixture I had bought could not be installed on the wiring I had in that particular room. I had bought a dimmer switch but it was the wrong kind. As there was still time remaining on the two hour appointment, he went to the local hardware store and bought the correct one! I will definitely use his company again as he says he is very particular about the electricians he hires. Chris

Description of Work: Tony came to my home to move an electrical outlet in my laundry room. He did an excellent job, moved the outlet to exactly where I wanted it, placed a junction box over the existing area where the outlet was and cleaned up perfectly after he was done with the job. I would definitly use his company again for our electrical needs.

+ 0 moreSet up service before the holidays for the 8th. Received a call the day before confirming the appointment for 8:00 am. On the morning of the 8th, 8:00 am came and went. I didn't get a phone call saying they were going to be late until 8:20. Caller blamed the traffic on 610 and that the tech would not be out until 9:00 am at the earliest. Disappointing. Traffic in Houston can be predicted and planned out. And while it was raining, it wasn't bad enough to effect an appointment this way.
Description of Work: Requested a service call to quote exterior security lighting in back yard.

Ari, the licensed electrician who came to do the work, arrived on time, worked very effeciently, asked me questions when necessary, and showed me the old components when he suggested replacing all parts. The finished product is super! I am extremely pleased with the finished work and with the cost for this work. There are two inside-the-house, lighting-related changes I want to make in 2013, and you can be sure I will call Light-Tech to do this work, also.
Description of Work: My 34-year-old townhouse had a two-plug electrical socket on the exterior of the house where it fronts on to a flagstone patio. I was delighted to have the outside plugs, but the plate containing the socket had pulled loose from the wall of the house, allowing rain to fall behind the plate on the wires running to the plugs. The plugs had small individual horizontal tabs to cover each plug, but there certainly were not tight and weather proof. I knew the plugs were live, having cautiously plugged in my weed whacker to use it. However, when my partner suggested this was a very dangerous arrangement because of exposure of live wires to rain, etc., I agreed. I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal Coupon from Light-Tech after researching A-rated, licensed electricians on Angie's List. For $99, the coupon covered 2 hours of labor. Ari from Light-Tech arrived exactly on time on the agreed date, looked at the exterior plate and plugs, and explained that he would examine the box behind the plate to determine its condition and whether it or other items required replacing. Ari showed me the old parts he removed: a crumbling box, a very old two-lug socket, etc. I asked him to make the outlet as safe as possible so anyone using it would be safe. Wow! What a beautiful job he did! New box, new plugs, new plate, and a clear plastic weatherproof hinged cover with indentions on the bottom to allow electrical cords to fit under the cover while plugged in, protecting everything from weather. All improvements meet or exceed current building codes for residential, including a device in each socket that prevents a person from inadvertently electrocuting themselves by sticking a metal object (such as the point of a scissor blade or a flat knife blade) into one side of the plug -- especially important if children will be near or using this plug. Finished product is very attractive on the outside of the house, and I am confident anyone using it will be safe doing so.

He cleaned everything up like it was his own home. Light-Tech is now my "go-to" company for any electrical problem I may have in the future.
Description of Work: Some landscape lighting was damaged in a storm. I had used Light-Tech before with great results, so I called them out to remove the damaged lighting and related conduit and then close up the outside circuit.

+ 0 moreThey spent significant time on the plans, discussing pros and cons of the different types of lighting available. We knew nothing, but were glad they had expertise and could explain it all. We were impressed with the final result and how they worked with us, moving and adjusting lights until they were "just right". The moonlight that was installed in the back casts a romantic glow over the pool area in the back yard. The rope lights around the outdoor kitchen say PARTY, adding just the right touch of fun.
Description of Work: Light-Tech designed and installed outdoor lighting for the front of the house, the pool area and back patio. They worked with our existing lighting, and installed sliders to dim the ones that were too bright, and also installed cute rope lights around the outdoor kitchen.

Bo was very courteous, professional and competent. Their prices are very reasonable and better than I expected (I did not get an estimate). I would not hesitate to use them again.

+ 1 moreThis is the 3rd time I've used Tony. I called Tony for an estimate, which was done fairly quickly, timing was more about my schedule than his. For the work, his schedule was about 3 weeks out, but timing wasn't critical to me. This is an old house and has needed the work to be done for a long time already. His estimate was right on, in fact, he fixed a couple things he noticed at no charge. He is very professional, clean, and he and his guys worked very efficiently to get the work done. He appreciates quality and his work is quality. I will continue to use Tony for any electrical needs. He focuses his work in the West Loop area (Bellaire, West U, River Oaks, etc).
Description of Work: Installed 4 ceiling fans, 2 closet lights where none existed before, added an electrical outlet in a bathroom, fixed 2 outdoor outlets, fixed 2 lights not working properly. House built in 1939.
