I have never experienced worse customer service then I did when I spoke on the phone to the owner of this company, Justin Woolf. Here is what happened: I ordered a chandelier on August 1st, I was told it would take 4-5 weeks but I received it on October 15th (thats almost 11 weeks later). I am a reasonable person, I realize this is a custom order; therefore, I was patient and courteous every time I called to ask about it. At one point I asked if they offer any sort of compensation for the product taking so long (I was not demanding, just wondering) . . . and this is when I had the misfortune of speaking to the owner. He was rude, disrespectful & dismissive. In so many words, I was told to deal with it or go somewhere else. I was stunned & speechless, I am a nice person and this attack came from nowhere. I really wanted to support a local business and an American made product but after experiencing his behavior I felt bad for giving him my business ... I sensed that he couldn't be bothered with me since I was not one of his high profile accounts (but this was the most I have ever spent on a light fixture, it was not cheap!) That being said, I will list a few positives: My chandelier is beautiful, the store itself is tasteful and the sales girls were courteous. It's just upsetting that my entire experience was ruined based on the owners behavior. This is the first business review I have ever posted, needed to share my experience . . . he has lost my business!

We are in the process of building a new contemporary home. Our architect highly suggested visiting with Justin Wolff at LIGHT 4202 Richmond Ave. We wanted to shop for fixtures for our more modern home. We were particularly interested in iconic pieces reflective of the mid-century and some new trend setting fixtures. We were not interested in traditional pieces. Thank goodness LIGHT has hit the Richmond Ave corridor of lighting stores bringing us what Houston finally deserves. Fixtures for our generation and not our grandparents. It is absolutely cool and hip. Justin represents the second generation of the lighting industry. He carries on with the same expertise and knowledge that his father taught him before retiring. We have been working closely with Justin Wolff and Betsy Robinson at LIGHT. They have produced complete professional lighting plans to submit to contractors as well. We met over several meetings to make revisions and complete the plans. We are so grateful for their professionalism and incredibly stylish advice on everything. We have shopped extensively for lighting fixtures. Nothing beat the service and prices they provided us. We are thrilled with all the fixtures and design advice they brought to the table. We had a vision for the house and they brought it to the next level. It was a wonderful experience to work with LIGHT. We purchased all of our lighting fixtures from them and all under budget. LIGHT has now been open over a year and a half. It is a treat to visit them and see the always evolving inventory of contemporary lighting.
