The property was overgrown from years of neglect. I had this group come and remove a lot of overgrowth, completely resod the back yard, install drains, new irrigation, and a new concrete patio. They set up the zones on the irrigation in a way that makes no sense and never provided a map, as requested several times, showing where the underground lines lay. The new concrete looks horrible with an absurd finish. The owner of the company offered to acid wash the finish which just turned my patio yellow. Also the rectangular patio doesn't have a straight line on it. They were punctual and their crews got after it, that's for sure. The sod work was good and the yard does drain much better than before, so it wasn't all bad. I contacted the contractor for more work and they said they would come out but never materialized. No call no show. I suppose he suspected that I might be not too happy after not getting the map?

I called to set up an appointment for a quote and was told they couldn't come out for a week. Not a problem. A week later a guy calls me 20 minutes before the appointment and wants to know if he should still come out. I tell him yes, that we need a quote from them. 20 minutes later I get a text that he's running 10 minutes late. He shows up 20 minutes late and doesn't even apologize for being late. I walk him to the backyard where the majority of the work will be, say one or two sentences about what we want and he says "ok I've got everything I need". I ask him if he needs to measure the yard so he has the dimensions and he says "no but I guess I'll sketch it really quick". He draws a rectangle of the yard and a circle where we're having a paver/firepit area and says "well I don't want to waste your time and I have what I need" I ask him if he needs my email address and he said "No, they'll call you to get that". I don't know how long the quote was supposed to take and I realize there was a hurricane but that was 2 1/2 weeks ago. I haven't heard from anyone.

It went very well. I definitely would recommend this company again.

We had a very positive experience. I would highly recommend them. The crew that came, the least experience of them was 8 years and the other two had over 20 doing this kind of work. My wife meet with the supervisor and outlined what she wanted done, he came back and email a sketch of what he understood what she wanted and the bid for it. She got back with him and altered it slightly. They got here at 20 minutes after 8 am and left 10 minutes after 6 pm and the were done. They thing has a stone boarder, it's roughly 24 ft long and 12 ft wide. Its kind of a figure eight. So its a fairly large bed. My wife specified what kind of plants she wanted, then they provided the plants. We had some rose bushes and other pants that were dug up and put back in the ground. But ya, I would highly recommend them. We feel like we got value for our money. I don't have nay complaints at all.

The first meeting went great. I got along with John and he sent me a sketch of how he interpreted my instructions. We liked his design and the price was right where some other contractors were, but I felt like this guy could handle it better. There was good communication via e-mail, and when the guys showed up, they came in force. They did a fantastic job regrading the yard and installing the drainage system. The concrete pad is pretty terrible though. Simply put, the guy who put the finish on the concrete has no business doing concrete. None of the edges are straight (they all bow one way or another) and the requested "light" finish basically came out as messy swirl marks in all directions. The sprinkler system works very well but the zones are not set up in any kind of logical order. Meaning, I have a small area that is going to be a garden, but 2 different zones control it. So in order to extend my garden's watering schedule, I have to water the entire back yard for just as long. Bummer, but I'll get over it. The backyard regrading, drains, and resodding were done really well and look great. There's really nothing more to say to elaborate on that. The yard was a swamp and now no water is held and it all drains to the front of the property in no time. I did not see John on site except for day 1 and the last day. Maybe he stopped by, but his sketch and the final outcome were a bit off. Despite having been paid for the work, and following my request to meet, I showed him the concrete and some of the odd decisions his people made. I asked him to make some adjustments and asked what could be done about the concrete. He said acid washing would help, but it really just turned my new concrete yellow in some areas. I can get over the concrete issue, I'm easy going and what do I really care? It's concrete. But if you want your concrete perfect, I would suggest calling a concrete contractor. But this price was right, and everything else turned out fantastic. I would do business with them again. I think he tried to give reasons the concrete was "ok" but it was a tough argument to make. He did what he felt he could do to make things right. Now the patio is "antiqued," so we're all good. I've had several parties back there and no one blinked twice at the concrete, but they did ask a lot of sod questions. lol

John and his crew did a real nice job, they were at my house everyday for 7 hours and completed the job in 4 days. i had the following done. two feet flagstone 16x25 area around the swim spa deck, New sod, several flower beds and trees with various flowers, redid the irrigation system, rock and flagstone pieces on the side of the house to the front of the house. back gate lighting install. Very happy with all the work and will use john for future projects.

John was very helpful in determining the best plan for our situation. His workers were prompt and efficient. The work was completed in a reasonable amount of time and they did a good job cleaning up. One part was not done to our satisfaction and John promptly had someone come out and make the necessary corrections. Overall, we were very pleased with the results.

The work was completed in an organized and timely manner. In addition, the retaining wall they built is very attractive. One task of filling in the patio cracks was done sloppily but when pointed out to the owner, he was very apologetic and immediately had someone come out and correct it. We were very pleased with this company and would definitely use them again.

When he was on time for his estimate and did agree he could do this work. However, when he got to the site he seemed to have hesitations about doing the work. He seemed to be very informative on what needed to be done. It seemed strange to me he did not many supplies including a tape measurer. He did not take any information but left my home letting me know he would give me an estimate. I have had on going trouble getting a hold of him and still have yet to see an estimate. They have not even called me back. I feel that I chasing him down. He is clearly too busy to take on new customers. Angie's List even called this company for me this morning and had told them that Mr. Norris will follow up with me.

It is the first time I met such a company. First, I was told that they work from 10 am until 4 pm, but even more interesting was the second answer: we only do works which cost > $2000. This was the end of our conversation.

Everything is neat as a pin. Its been quite a few months and none of the plants have died or wilted at all. All of the plants were high quality and healthy. He pruned Crepe Myrtles that are very messy after offering to remove them for me. There were some hostas that he wanted to remove as they looked messy, which I originally disagreed with him on, but now I do agree after thinking about it. He is defiantly professional landscaper. He was happy to do additional work that was not originally on the list for us. He did above and beyond the work he needed to do. I am having him out again to put in more plants and do more work for me in the future. He is very reliable.

I initially approached John to get a bid on landscaping and doing stone work for my back yard. His quote was very thorough and detailed and reasonably priced. Most importantly he listened to my ideas and stayed within budget. I probably should have had him and his team do both. But I decided to split the project among two companies. I had a different company install pavers and do flag stone patio. I hired John and his team to do the remainder of the landscape. Overall John did a very nice job tying everything together and adding the finishing touches on my small yard. He was very professional and responsive from start to finish. I would definitely recommend.

We selected 3 landscaping contractors from Angie's List and have them come over to my place and give me a bid for doing landscaping work in my backyard which has a nice lake view. We finally selected John Norris to do the work. We made a few changes to the plant and stone selection, the design he submitted initially as part of the deal and eventually agreed on plant , stone selection and design on third iteration. John Norris never ever complained once why are we talking so long to decide. I told him that we like his workmanship and quality we will go ahead with the front yard landscaping as well of equal value. His lead supervisor Ignacio was very meticulous in executing the entire project from start to finish and rest of the crew were very professional. Ignacio made sure that no mess was left on the ground and on the driveway at the end of the day and at the end of the project. I did give him B grade on pricing because pricing was NOT our main criteria in selecting the contractor and it was very hard to compare. Overall, we are VERY HAPPY with the work and will definitely get the front yard landscaping done, soon, from him.

They no showed on a set appointment.

John was here on the day and time he promised to discuss my project. He was VERY professional, attentive and had some really great advice / ideas. It was apparent that he treats his team with a lot of respect as they couldn't have been more professional. I was surprised by 1) their punctuality 2) their efficiency 3) attention to detail and 4) cleanliness. I would not hesitate a second in recommending John and his team if you are considering someone to help you with your Landscaping and Design project.

The estimate process was good. He came out really quickly. He was knowledgeable about what he was doing. The estimate was definitely high for the service. I haven’t got any other quotes yet. The price was the main reason for me not using them for the work.

It was a reasonable quote. It was exactly the same amount with the other guys who did it. I did not go with them mainly because of the price. It was good. He was quite thorough. He explained everything in detail. For me it was good because I am a detail oriented person. He spent a good deal of time with me. He was not in a rush. He was probably here for 45 minutes to an hour which had certainly impacted his business time so I appreciated that. The price was still fair but it was a little on the high end.

He was punctual and affordable, the men were very good and got the job done and was gone liked it a lot.

We have not done the work yet...it's part of the grand plan.

He wanted to do more than I really wanted. He was professional.

I would highly recommend Landscape & Design. I met with a few landscapers before deciding on Landscape & Design but I liked John's drawing and estimate the most. John was always available to answer any questions I had. We couldn't be more pleased with the work that was done and how professionally it was done. The workers worked hard and persevered even in some rainy weather. The flagstone patio looks amazing as does all the plants, beds, and paths. So thankful that now we have our dream yard.

The crew that came out was great...cleaning up everything and going above and beyond my expectations for the job. They used every bit of material they brought with them, even placing extra mulch around the trees in my front yard and filling in the "holes"where grass was missing in my side front yards left by the new pool construction, with leftover sod from the back yard. The plants are doing great and I would recommend John Norris to my neighbors.

John did an incredible job, from planning to execution. Work was performed quickly and correctly. His plans for landscaping our corner lot were detailed and then he effectively executed the work. My wife and I could not be happier with the outcome. We have received numerous compliments from the neighbors on our yard We plan to use John's services again come the fall.

This provider "fixed" my back yard! I had a minefield of holes and torn up grass. The rose bushes were half dug up. All thanks to an overactive dog. The grass itself was a mix of Bermuda and weeds. I had four quotes for landscaping and chose John Norris to do the work. He helped me understand what the best solution was given my budget. They also worked within my schedule. Now my back yard is perfect! Leveled and drainage problems fixed. All new St. Augustine grass. Flower beds and stone work are neat and pretty, and my rose bushes are saved! My front flower beds are ready for new annuals. The yard was a disaster to start and within one day, the whole thing was "fixed"! The crew arrived on time and cleaned up everything when they were done. Bottom line - excellent customer service, the work was done above & beyond my expectations on-time and for the price quoted. His wasn't the lowest bid I received, but the quality of work was sure worth it! I will definitely call him when I install my sprinkler system.
