Jonathan produced a very detailed appraisal of our home, arrived on time and communicated well throughout the process. He did take a day longer than originally estimated to send us the report but he made sure to call and communicate that it would be an extra day. Overall I would recommend his services and I would not hesitate to utilize his services again in the future.

This was my experience: * Angie's list had his appraisal cost at $275 but was charged $350. * I misunderstood how long it would take - it took a week to receive it. * When I called to ask about it, he was rude, though he apologized later. * The appraisal was fine, though he only valued the lot and gave no value whatever to the house. We figured it would have to be rented/leased for a while before selling it to be cleared from the lot - which is exactly what happened.

We purchased a new home in an inflated, sellers market and we wanted to be certain we were not over paying so I organized two appraisals. One was required by the lender and the other I personally organized through Jonathan Leva. I only had 7 days to opt out under a small fee so I need inspectors and the appraiser to come out as soon as possible. I called Jonathan on a Monday and he was able to meet me on Wednesday morning along with all of the other inspectors which minimized my time away from work. However, due to the short time frame I asked all to provide their reports by Friday. Sunday was my final day. Jonathan's price was competitive and even beat many others in the area by about $50. He showed up on time and was professional. The only complaint that I have is that the appraisal was delivered mid day Saturday when we agreed on Friday. I know that I asked for it in a rush and it did make it before the opt out period but we agreed to Friday. Other than that I have no other complaints. The quality of the appraisal was good and was comparable to the appraisal organized by the lender. His comps were all recent and his adjustments were appropriate. I would use him again.

Mr. Leva arrived promptly on time and performed the inspection for the appraisal with efficency. He promise the appriasal by the end of the week and actually got it to me one day early. I was very pleased with his work and the appraisal.

He was very thorough and punctual. His appraisal report was top notch compared to other appraisals we have done in the past in buying a home.

Very professional service. I called Thursday afternoon (1/31) and spoke directly to Mr. Leva, he addressed all my questions/concerns and was willing to do the appraisal Friday (2/1) but we agreed on 9:30am Saturday morning (my choice). I actually called him back on Friday to discuss additional concerns regarding ongoing upgrades to my home. He not only explained all my options, he provided suggestions as well. Saturday morning (2/2), at exactly 9:30am, Mr Leva arrived, very polite, well dressed, well spoken and extremely professional. He wasted no time moving throughout the house taking measurements, pictures and notes. As he left, he stated I would have my appraisal by COB Friday (2/8). The following Thursday (2/7), I had a very comprehensive, detailed report (complete with color photos and comps) in my email inbox.

The dimensions that the Seller had listed for a house that I was interested in did not match up to room measurements taken or tax records. I suspected that the house was drastically smaller than the Seller claimed. Jonathan was able to schedule the appraisal quickly at a time that was convenient for me and my agent. It turns out that the house is 460 square feet smaller than the Seller claims. It was definitely worth it to me to have this information confirmed by professional appraiser since it will any offers I might make. Jonathan also gave me other tips to look at when viewing houses, and showed me where to find property dimensions online (it turns out that the Seller was a couple thousand square feet off on the lot size as well). This help was beyond the scope of what I paid him to do. He also offered advice on other areas of town to search for houses. All in all, it was a very helpful learning experience for me. I would definitely use Jonathan's services again, if needed.

I contacted Jonathan so I could get an unbiased (?) appraisal on the value of my house prior to putting on the market. I was especially curious as to the square foootage of the studio attached to my detached garage (it's an odd shape). He came out, took measurements and pictures, checked out the property, and delivered the appraisal a week later. My realtor used his calculations when we listed the house and to arrive at a listing price. I also passed along his contact information to my realtor, since we both thought he did a very professional job. I don't know that I'll be able to use Jonathan again since I'm moving out of state, but I certainly recommend you seriously consider using him!

I had Jonathan talk to my client about the appraisal process. He was very accessible, I got him on the first call, and he got out immediately to do the appraisal. His price was quite reasonable and my client will be able to make more money because of the square footage he was able to prove existed.
