Description of Work: They pulled up the wet floor. Put several large fans in the house for three days. To dry the cement under the floor. They were sloppy. Left most of my furniture for me to put backin place. I am 68 and my husband had a stroke and is in a wheel chair. This was a very stressful experience.

Description of Work: they came to diagnose and fix a leak happening from the air conditioner. The first time they came, they said it was fixed. Two days later it was leaking again.. another workman came and said it was the second unit and fixed... two days later it was leaking again. We went elsewhere and found that it was a mis-installed media filter that John Moore had installed many months before that was causing the issue. Once i had the new team install correctly it was fixed. I'm very disappointed that the problem was due to "shoddy" install they themselves did, and they tried to "fix" other items to solve the problem that wasn't the issue in the first place!

Description of Work: They wanted to install a whole new ac unit because ours wasn't working properly. We call someone else who fixed the problem for 1000. No problems since then. Do not use John Moore.

Description of Work: The work provided was done well, for the most part, and discrepancies were corrected promptly. The scheduling department is disorganized. Several times I had no technician show up for appointments and once had technicians show up without an appointment. I am happy with the service I have received, I have used them several times over several years. Their scheduling service needs to be fixed though.

Description of Work: Originally it was for a water leak in the kitchen. They discovered our original pluming was going bad and could cause a lot of issues not to far down the road. They fixed the leak, installed all new cold and hot water lines in the whole house, and installed a new hot water tank. They also installed a whole house water filtration system. Peace of mind, and very well done!

Description of Work: Provider chose the appointment time which was a 4 hour block on a Friday afternoon. It was a very inconvenient time, but I agreed to be present as long as they were sure they would make the appointment. Half way through the 4 hour time block they called to say that they couldn't make the appointment and would I like to reschedule. They should be dropped from Angie's List.

Description of Work: Replaced horizontal water lines in home. Project manager was more interested in up selling the project- ultimately additional work had to be done and we refused to work with the original project guy. My husband had to make 4 days worth of calls before we could work with someone new.

Description of Work: We made an appointment for 12 to 5 pm. They called me at 11:30 to confirm. They called again at 1:27 to say they were running late. We were still on their schedule. I called them at 3:53 to ask where they were. They said they were running.g late but I was next. I called my husband at 5:06 to ask where they were. They called me at 5:11 and said they were "giving me the opportunity to reschedule." Are you for real? I took time off work to meet them. I told them no and they had to get someone out here immediAtely. At 7:00 still no one. My husband called back and they said there was no one to come out today. What kind of service is this??????? They never ever said to us they weren't coming out today until we forced the issue of when t hey were getting out today. Why have we gotten to the frame of mind in this country that good service means the customer doesn't matter.

Description of Work: They said they'd be here between 11 am and 2 pm. They guy gets to the house at 10:30am tries to call ( we were in church) then leaves. I called JM back. They said that the plumber couldn't have snaked the drains anyhow ( which I was told he could do yesterday when I set up the appointment and which was what I expressly asked for) . When told that they could have a guy here after 3 pm I said sure, but asked for a coupon to off set the inconvenience. They said they would have customer service call me. Turns out that would be tomorrow as they were closed on the weekend. A very poorly organized company. I will go with another plumbing company in the future.

Description of Work: Needed a toilet checked for leaks and have it resealed. Booked 2 weeks in advanced and told them that it was a rental and that I lived 60 miles away. They gave me a 3 hour window and 2 1/2 hours into my window they called saying that they've overbooked and if I could wait another couple of hours. Ridiculous! The individual on the phone had absolutely no customer service. So on top of not being able to quote me for the services over the phone, they couldn't make their appointment and dared to threaten to charge me $50 if I wasn't at the appointment. Learn the value of customer service!

Description of Work: work was for my 85 year old mother to replace a vent and caulk on the second story of her home. it took the tech 17 minutes to complete the job. my mother miss read the charge on her credit card thinking it was 99.99 for the service. the charge on the card was for 999.99. i contacted customer service for a complete explination and was told it was a flat rate of 799.99 just to come out and the balance was for the work performed. they agreed to a discount of 240.99 and a senior discount of 40.00 to bring the billing to 769.00 which is complete fraud in my opnion. my mother was not informed of a "flat rate" or she would never had agreed.

Description of Work: I scheduled an appointment for an A/C check and received a 3-hour window for the technician to arrive. At the time, I was told there was no cost for a check of the A/C system, but was informed that there would be a $50 fee if I was not at the property during the agreed service window. I was at the home in advance of the appointment and waited approximately 2 1/2 hours (in the 100+ degree heat) before calling the company. When I called, I was informed that no one was going to come to the scheduled appointment and was given no explanation as to why they were not going to honor it. This company clearly does not value customers nor did they make any apologies for the inconvenience they caused me by failing to meet the appointment.

Description of Work: My A/C wasn't cooling my house off well enough so I called John Moore after hearing a commercial on tv. Should have known better - never be led by commercials!! The tech was very friendly, which was nice, but he likely assumed that because I look like I am 22 years old, I know nothing about business or dealing with home repairs. I was quoted $900 to cut a hole in the wall and install a new vent - something that I can do myself! I was also quoted $370 for a voltage regulator and $370 for duct repair saying that my ducts were "twisted and old", despite the fact that my A/C unit (including the ducts) was thoroughly inspected last November.
