I called the company the next morning and they had someone out that afternoon. The technician (Paul) checked the fuse box and circuits. Luckily it was just a loose wire in the one of the sockets. He also removed the hornet nest found in the fuse box outside. Also, when I was ready to pay he reminded me there was a coupon in the phone book I could use.

they were very punctual. The work was done timely. The only problem was that we ended up with a leak under the kitchen sink (a nut had not been tightened appropriately). When we called that morning and told them it was leaking bad, we had someone at the house fixing it within an hour.

It went very well. I thought they were pricey but the men that came to the house were very, very professional. I even called John Moore to tell them how great they were. My husband said they did a wonderful job with the chandelier. They put up their own strong cable to give extra support and just wrapped the chandelier's chain around it. He was very pleased with the work also.

Called to make an appointment on Thursday for next day service. Lady that took my call was polite. I did ask her to be certain the service tech met these two special requirements a.) Speaks English well to prevent communication problems, b.) willing to wear booties and is neat because I have an almost white carpet in the house and am quite picky about cleaning up messes after contractors. She stated that they would meet those conditions and would be there between 8 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Friday. Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. she called and asked if I was ready for the plumber and that he would arrive 30 to 35 minutes from 9:00 a.m. He arrived at 9:30 a.m. sharp just as committed. Tech was polite, wore shoe covers as promised and spoke flawless English. He listened to what I wanted him to do and then he gave me a lump sum estimate for the work. I then signed a contract with an understanding of the warranties on the work. The tech finished work and clean up in 45 minutes. Perfect job.

The plumber John Moore services sent over was unprofessional and unfriendly to the point of being downright hostile. I did not let him do any work. This is the experience (one of many lately) that prompted me to join Angie's List.

I was very impressed with John Moore. They were great. When I contacted them, I was had determined one of the thermostats was out in my water heater. John Cantu (plumber) determined the reason for the bad thermostat was due to an electrical short within the unit. We discussed my options and pricing, and within 2 1/2 hours, he had replaced my old water heater with a new one.

We found a guy who worked for a plumbing shop to fix the leak. John Moore was way too expensive.

John Moore Pluming was wonderful! They were here on the date promised, on time, professional, courteous, and completed the job as promised. I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.

Paul, the A/C tech, was on time, professional, friendly, and neat with his work. He did not rush through the job, nor did he dawdle.

They did a thorough job and gave me a couple of tips on things I could do to keep the air conditioning drain open.

He's the biggest company in Houston, but they are very responsive and do a great job.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH NU-AIR BOOKING OUR APPOINTMENT FAST AND COMING OUT AND GIVING ME AN HONEST QUOTE. NOT A PROBLEM SINCE VERY HAPPY WITH JOB PLEASANT TECHNICIAN VERY THOROUGH.

On time, good and fast, professional, prices were the same as other.

The original plumber came back out and finally ran a test...but only on the PVC pipe he'd needlessly installed, then said it'd cost us another $69 to have their heating specialist come out! He then claimed that he had in fact run the test on the heater the first time, a flat-out lie. Another company came out later and easily pinpointed the leak to be one of the burners, which they fixed in no time at all. JM's central office did promptly refund 50% of my bloated bill after I sent them an angry detailed fax threatening to complain to the BBB and dispute the charges on my credit card. So they are fair and responsive...when *forced* to be. But why didn't they send out a heating specialist to begin with for Chris-sakes? I guess I fell for their full-page Yellow Pages advertising, and BBB credentials. Also they come in big U-Haul size trucks to impress you into thinking you're paying (through the nose) for professionalism and quality...HA!

This was a very big project and I thank John Moore very much for the great job they did. They were very professional and had a lot of patience during the whole process. The price was very reasonable being that this was such a big job. The work was done in a good time frame; the job did not drag on for days beyond days like some other places I had to deal with.

I am very pleased. I finally got someone to get the job done right. I must say they were a bit pricey. I really didn t mind the price. I was just glad they did the job the right way and did not screw anything up. Another great quality they have is that they are very prompt. The same day I called them is the day they came and did the job. I feel promptness is very important when it comes to business.

John Moore Home Service did a great job on my new unit. The new high quality heating and cooling system that they suggested is very quiet and fuel efficient. They had told me that it will pay for itself over time with the money saved on natural gas bills alone. I have used this company for the past five years to do maintenance on my heating and cooling unit.

I've had this leak for awhile, but Moore plumbing came out and fixed it and I haven't had any trouble with it leaking since. It was a great job. They showed up on time, didn't leave any mess or greasy tracks, were polite and courteous. I would highly recommend them.

My house was not up to code, so the company went the extra mile to get it done. They are very professional. They call before they come and show up when they are supposed to. They were thorough and got the job done quickly.

This company did superb work. I feel they were somewhat competitively priced, but I'm not sure they were the lowest. I did not get estimates from other companies since our air conditioner had gone out and it was pretty much an emergency. They were right on time to do the installation and were out in a hurry to get it done. So far they have been dependable.

I had a faucet that was leaking and a faucet that needed to be replaced. We hired John Moore to come out to do the work. He did not do a good job. He put the faucet in wrong and left it like that. The faucet began to leak and we felt the price was very high for the work he had to do. He never came back to fix the new faucet properly.

The company did the repair in one trip to my home. They charge extra for parts, but I didn't need any parts for this service call.

THE TOILET STARTED RUNNING AGAIN WITHIN 45 MINUTES OF THE TIME HE LEFT, SO I CALLED AND SPOKE TO THE SAME TECHNICIAN. HE TOLD ME THAT I OBVIOUSLY HAD A DIFFERENT PROBLEM THIS TIME AND THAT IF HE CAME OUT AGAIN IT WOULD BE ANOTHER $145. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR, WHO TOLD ME THAT WASN'T THE CORRECT POLICY, BUT THAT PARTS FOR MY TOILET WERE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. HE SENT SOMEONE ELSE THE NEXT DAY WHO SAID IT WAS REALLY DIFFICULT, BUT HE'D BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE RIGHT PART. IT WORKED FOR 2 WEEKS OR SO AT WHICH POINT I CALLED MY REGULAR HANDYMAN. HE TOLD ME THAT THE HANDLE HADN'T BEEN CORRECTLY INSTALLED AND THAT IT TAKES HIM 1 DAY TO GET PARTS FOR THAT TOILET.

THE PLUMBER WAS ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL, EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM CLEARLY AND HE DID NOT TRY TO SELL ANY UNNEEDED SERVICES.

BEFORE THE PLUMBER EVEN GOT TO THE VALVE'S LOCATION, HE BEGAN SAYING THEY MAY HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE WATER LINE FROM THE HOUSE TO THE STREET AND THAT IT WOULD PROBABLY COST $1700, $1800, MAYBE $2000. HE CHARGED A FEE TO DIG DOWN TO JUDGE THE STATE OF THAT WATER LINE, BUT LATER INCORPORATED INTO THE JOB'S OVERALL COST. THE INVOICE IS HANDWRITTEN AND IT'S DIFFICULT TO ASCERTAIN WHAT I PAID FOR. JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING THE PLUMBER SAID IMPLIED DIRE CONSEQUENCES AND I FELT I WAS ''PLAYED'' INTO ACCEPTING THE PRICE. IN RESPONSE TO A LETTER I SENT TO THE FIRM'S OWNER, AN EMPLOYEE CALLED ME BUT NEVER RETURNED MY CALL TO HIM.
