It burst during the night. I called early and Miguel came. He coordinated everything quickly and efficiently. The diggers and water line people showed up early afternoon. By 4 pm, I had water back! It was a big job. John Moore is the best.

I was notified and updated on eta. Repairman (Willy) was friendly, took care not to make or leave a mess, and explained what needed to be done and how much it would cost before beginning the work. He fixed the drain quickly, and then made suggestions on other products available, but was not insistent when I declined. Overall, I'm pleased with the results.

The Technician was punctual in arrival w/ his assistant, and he may have taken longer in performing his duties; but, it was a worthwhile effort, for he took pride in his work by making sure the job was done efficiently/well. I appreciate all of the effort he expelled to make sure that the A/C Handler was installed properly, as well as operating properly. As of today, it still is running exceptionally. The Technician gave me firm, sound advice as to how to keep it maintained, as well, and I appreciate that, as well.

I had a technician come and provide an estimate on Memorial Day, for which I was grateful because it meant I didn't have to take time off work. Scheduling the appointment was easy and I received confirmation emails and a courtesy call the day of when the technician was on his way over. I wanted recessed lights installed, among other things, and wanted an explanation on what some of my options were. I'm completely unfamiliar with what a light instillation entails and therefore had a hard time understanding what the technician was describing. I required a bit more breaking things down, but the technician, while his words were polite and patient, lacked an ideal bedside manner. He wasn't rude, he just wasn't the warmest personality either. Based off this experience and even before I saw the written estimate, I knew I wouldn't hire this company. Surely this experience isn't reflective of the entire company, as I'm sure they have many, many technicians, but as a potential client, I didn't feel comfortable giving them my business. Also, this faux pas is probably just an unfortunate coincidence, but he did compliment our home and then went on to ask "How much did this set you back?" So in short, he asked us how much we paid for our home, which I feel one should never, ever do. That's private information and you're about to write me a quote, so please don't imply fishing around to see what we can and cannot afford. More likely than not, it was an innocent question, but I did not like it at all.

Excellent service from John Moore! This review goes across the board to capture all those involved from the initial call for service to the final step of installation/replacement. We’ve used John Moore Services for several things in the past three months and once again they did not disappoint. Great customer service, pricing, speed and efficiency in installation! Highly recommend!!

Showed up on time, checked out unit thoroughly, made needed corrections after we discussed what needed to be done. He was very polite and informative and I would definitely request him again.

that fix went great BUT I quickly realized that John Moore will rape a fool blind if you're not paying attention. my first indication was that the appt setter tried to get me in to financing repeatedly. I figured it was something small so i told her repeatedly if i need it we'll talk. She also was trying to get into every system of my house with their services... i was all Hold UP... let's get this done before we start going down any other paths... the tech that came out was professional, wore booties in my house and was super polite. but he came out to sell me a new a/c based on the age rather than repair it. his first question is "what are we trying to do here?" AFTER noting that we'd been without a/c for 2-3 days... like the main problem wasn't getting this unit up and running and i would just say replace it. he did a great job trying to convince me the unit hadn't been serviced as evidenced by 'spiderwebs' in the electrical panel on the unit that sits in my back yard... the unit was serviced last spring... the unit is outside so duh there's spiderwebs. he took a picture with his tablet before web removal to show me but his tablet's protective screen was 'spiderwebbed' so i couldn't actually see the 3-5 spiderwebs on the equipment till he pulled that off - seemed weirdly deceptive but i'm sure they have some kind of excuse why the tablet's protective screen is so spiderwebbed that you can't actually see spiderwebs in the images... so i decided to watch him like a hawk. once he tested that capacitor (which was dead) he replaced that and my a/c fired right up despite the attitude that it's time to replace my 14 year old system and to some extent he's right but mostly not. the unit is fine but it's an r22 system so if i need work that requires freon after 01-01-20 it will need to be replaced. already made a note to have it serviced in December of this year so i have a little time. the price to replace this part was $299.00 - in the past I've paid about $125-150 for part replacement so it was kind of high but we'd been without air and our normal a/c person was out of pocket soooooo.... i bit that bullet and paid for that work. prior to him coming out i looked up the costs of replacing coils or compressor and from what i saw they shouldn't max out beyond 2k each. I mentioned this and he said oh it's much higher. like 10-12k which raised more red flags especially since i had already asked a couple of a/c peeps what that would cost and they were in the 6-7k range. After he left i did some more research to discover they're paid on commission and work very hard to get you into their new very expensive a/c units. I also see many complaints of people not actually needing new a/c's but being told they did and getting royally screwed by them. I will not be replacing my a/c with John Moore. I will be collecting bids and paying attention to the work just like i do with car mechanics. Please let me say, this technician was a champ. he did good work from what i can tell. he's probably a great sales person too. He just had the bad luck of dealing with someone like me who is used to telling sales people no and researching. John Moore's pricing sucks - you're paying for a lot more than your unit. Last night, I got the bid to replace and true to what he said, 10,499.00 for a 3 1/2 ton unit replacement. I've already asked around and the a/c peeps i spoke to said that's highway robbery. that it shouldn't be more than 7k. My advice: watch them while they do their work just like you would a mechanic working on your car. do your research! get multiple bids and learn about your home systems! and don't let the heat cause you to make bad decisions. signing that bid to replace at over 10k would have been a bad decision for me.

I feel like I have been ripped off. When I noticed a drain line outside the house was dripping, I called John Moore because I had a service agreement with them. The first person to arrive said the drain lines from the catch pans need to be checked to make sure they are clear - please pay us $332. Then a second technician arrived, and said oh no it was from a leaking thermal safety valve on a water heater, and that the water heater would need to be replaced because it was pretty well corroded. That cost $3300. Now in retrospect that makes clearing the drain lines unnecessary. Since water was dripping from them, thy were obviously clear. Furthermore, since now water was visible in the drip pans, they obviously were not plugged. So John Moore tricked me into performing a procedure that was not necessary before revealing what the real problem was. I want my $332 back for that unnecessary procedure.

Technician from John Moore, Noly G, came out. Was very professional and thorough. Explained what he was doing and what results were to me patiently and efficiently. Diagnosed problem and gave me an estimate for repair.

Robert did a very good job. The price was very high.

Technician found problem quickly and cleaned flame component, which was the only issue he could find. Heater has been working properly since.

Tech arrived on time and did a through job.

The repair went well. He was very efficient and overall he knew what he needed to do and he did it. We are very satisfied the service in all. He also helped us mount our thermostat on the wall. Just as a courtsey. But it was well appreciated.

The service technician was extremely polite and helpful. He reviewed the problem with me then made some further inspections and advised on his findings. He repaired the leak in a timely manner and cleaned the area. Very neat. Very professional. He even discussed with me additional solutions. He left his card for me to contact him so he could provide further estimates.

I needed professional help to remove thick & messy stipple brush texture from the ceilings throughout my 1700 sq ft townhouse. Sky provided a very competitive quote for the project (removing the texture, skim coating, and painting), and his team was able to start work right away. The entire project took just under 2 weeks to complete, and the impeccable work done by William & Marvin was definitely worth the wait. I trusted these guys with my home and their professionalism, work ethic, and wealth of knowledge were essential to getting exactly what I wanted, a smooth ceiling. Thank you gents so much for all of your hard work! I will definitely contact John Moore for help on my next major project!

Fine and smooth but the price is rediculous unless your a wealthy person like a 500% markup

Train their team on customer's satisfaction and understand what that really means. This is the worst company I have ever done business with. Lack of knowledge in general and professionalism. I booked them for a normal tune up for my furnace and air conditioner that were perfectly working, and after the technician visited my property, the furnace stopped working. I called them around 4:58 pm and they didn't send anybody to fix it. I had a baby and weather was very cold which they didn't care about. They finally went the next day and they told me that in order to fix the unit I had to pay $1399.00 for a unit that was working perfectly???? They mentioned some parts such us relay and element sequencer needs to be replaced. Of course, didn't want to pay for something that was perfectly working and asked for my money back. Guess what!! They didn't gave me anything back and didn't fix my unit. I am still in shock and don't understand how a company like this with such a bad customer service is running. By the way, I fixed the problem with just $150.00. Please NEVER DO BUSINESS with this company and if you do, don't pay them for the parts or air conditioning units. EXTREMELY OVERPRICED AND VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
