Job went as expected after initial inspection performed by Lyath. No surprises or additional charges were incurred after consultation. Work performed at good pace and arrived to appointment early. Lyath explained everything thoroughly and was honest. Highly recommend this provider and especially this technician. Would do business again. Costs higher than average but the service and quality of work is worth the premium.

We called John Moore because they offer free estimates. The tech came out and told me about how my breaker melted down, that no one carries this ancient breaker anymore, and the compressor is completely grounded out which means it's totally bad and needs to be replaced. He said that he already tried replacing the capacitor but it didn't work and that we would need an entire system replacement. He said his manager wouldn't even let him replace a single component of my AC system, they would need to replace the WHOLE THING. He quoted me more than $5000. I said, OK, Thanks for taking a look, I'll get some other estimates together and let you know if I go with you. And then he started to tell me about their financing option. I said look, I am going to get a second opinion before I commit to anything, OK? He seemed not so happy about that (Obviously, because he knows once I speak to someone who is honest I will know they are a scam) and left. I went on Angies List and found Diaz AC which has an A rating. He came out to look at it and very quickly determined that the compressor is NOT grounded out, the breaker is NOT melted, and it just needed a capacitor which he had in his van, and we are up and running. $250 total. John Moore LIED outright and tried to sell me a system I DID NOT NEED. Read the reviews. This happens ALL THE TIME with them. They spend huge on commercials and marketing. Look at their cheesy damage control marketing replies for people who say the same thing as me. Even if you do call these guys and think their sales pitch is awesome, GET A SECOND OPINION at a minimum, you will be glad you did!

Service was fast and everything was explained step by step.

Found the cause of cooling loss and requested evaporator replacement.

Wonderful service. Prompt, thorough, friendly. Will was very knowledgeable and ethical. He even spotted a problem in my attic that was unrelated to the air conditioning and brought it to my attention. By so doing, he very likely prevented my house from catching fire.

He said I had to replace every pipe in the house, the hot water heater and everything, just to fix a $2.50 piece. He wanted to charge me $24000.

Horrible! These guys are a rip off! They charged me a fortune and did not complete the work they quoted but lied and said they did. They gave me a zero refund for the work they failed to perform. I would NEVER let any of these guys step foot anywhere near my house. EVER!

Fred arrived when he said, completed the work quicker than I thought and was courteous, professional and friendly the whole time. Fred quoted the price of the filtration system and disposal replacement separately so I could choose if I wanted both or just one service. I chose both. I have changed the disposal before but it can be a tedious job by yourself (unless you have a lot of experience), which I don't. I was happy with the work and would definitely have Fred do any more plumbing work.

Saved a lot of money, AC is tuned up and quieter.

Ray was quick and professional about his job. A very nice man. He took care of some plumbing that I had no idea existed, and probably has not been serviced in a dozen years (I just bought this house a few months ago). He helped give me some tips of things I can do to prevent needing a professional later and assisted me with new chems to aide in that personal plumbing maintenance. If I do have other issues, I would very much request this guy again if that is a possibility.

I'm blown away that I have to write this type of review. My husband and I live in Westbury, and our old a/c unit finally gave out (furnance is still fine). We asked several local companies for estimates, including John Moore. We had several quotes in the $5-$7k range. My husband is off on Fridays, but I took the day off last minute in order to participate in what is (for us anyway) a major purchase. John Moore was over 2 hours late to come out, and when they actually did pull up, just sat in their van for another 20 minutes despite my husband walking out to greet them. When they finally came into the garage to speak with us (they didn't even look at the compressor), the sales guy said "You know we're a high-end company. We don't sell units, we sell service." Um, ok... great, it's June in Houston and our a/c is out, can you give us an estimate? John Moore guy snottily asks us what we are trying to spend. My husband says $5-7k. JM guy says "oh, you can't get US for 7. We're a premium service." My husband has to ask then - so, are you talking more like $10-12k? JM guy: "yeah that's more in line with us, but you're getting [again with this bs] a SERVICE." We told them to hit the bricks. I am positive that these jerks took one look at our neighborhood (not River Oaks but not exactly a shanty town for Christ's sake), my Mazda 3 parked outside the garage (sue me for not wanting a huge car payment for no good reason), and us (we're in our mid-30's) and assumed we weren't rich enough for their precious "service." If y'all only want business from millionaires, then limit your service area to specific zip codes. They wasted our time, and completely insulted us (I guess they assumed we were too poor for them) for having the temerity to ask for an estimate. Not everyone wants to live in a giant house in a boring suburb with a 60 minute commute, idiots. Y'all will NEVER get one cent of our money for any of your "services." BTW, we had a great experience with Bellaire Air Conditioning & Heating. They were very prompt, professional, nice folks and did the work quickly/well at a reasonable price. I'll be giving them a very GOOD review.

I feel like David "Big D' and his team have done a fantastic job - going well above what I had asked for.

Van D was punctual, respectful of us/our home and very knowledgeable. I wish I had been able to immediately rate his service call, but his name on his business card was different from what was in the company's list of service techs. When I spoke with Claire V, she was able to resolve that issue. We are very pleased with John Moore and Mr. Van D.

Excellent. No bugs or mosquito's to be found. Everyone can play outside without getting bug bites.

Great service from Victor H. tech #0554921. Efficient and took his time to look for pests and sites where traps were left. Made sure the interior and exterior were correctly y sprayed.

Orlando Rodriguez was Excellent! I NEVER write reviews, even for poor service. Usually I just vote with my wallet and never recommend offenders to anyone, especially to those in my network. My experience today with John Moore Services and Orlando Rodriguez, in particular, was quite the opposite. Can you even imagine, these days, being treated the way you expect to be treated in a dreamland and then it happens in reality? Orlando was the epitome of what classic "old school" customer focus and service is all about. No "Taillight Warranty" here. On time, clean, courteous, expert, skilled, knowledgeable, pleasant, professional, friendly, personable. Free actually meant free! He spent almost three (unrushed) hours conversing and explaining the pros and cons of their multiple options available. Aside from having absolute confidence he knows his stuff technically, he spent time understanding my unique situation and desires and was actually partnering with me to discover solutions in my best interest (not his or the company). Although I have not yet decided which option to select, you can bet I am already thinking of anybody and everybody I can refer to Orlando Rodriguez, specifically, and John Moore Services!
