If you want an HONEST and High Quality Standards Painter, you need to hire John McDonald! After several bids from various painters (where we got dirt bottom cheap to outrageously and ridiculously high estimates, when I met John, I knew right away that he was the painter we wanted to do our house. His extremely warm personality exudes when you talk to him and tell him what you want done to the house. He does give you his opinion, in telling you the various paints and the potential outcome if you use a certain paint vs another. He will constantly say, we don't "use cheap paint" because the quality will stand out and last a lot longer. We hired John and John Jr to paint the interior, exterior, and kitchen cabinets for a house to be put up as rental property. My one fear was how the cabinets would look because most people will just tear down the existing cabinets and put in new ones. I wanted to resurface and paint the existing cabinets to look like store bought cabinets. John assured me the lacquer he uses to put on the cabinets were top notch quality (shared me examples of work he had done). The fact that he had been painting cabinets for 30 years and comes from 4 generations of painters, that he KNEW what he was talking about. WOW is all I can say when the all the painting was done. EVERYONE loved the colors chosen for the house (walls: SW Agreeable Gray, Trim & Cabinets: SW Extra White). The house was rented out in 14 days from the time we listed it on the market at above the market value. John is now my forever painter on all of my present and future properties.
