Description of Work: Needed some emergency electrical work on a burned out breaker box. Most companies on your list were answered by answering machines. I got someone to pick up on the Joe Swartz phone number. I was told they only provide emergency service on homes where they did the original wiring. I THINK ANYONE CONSIDERING HIRING THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE WARNED OF THAT FACT.

It worked out great with them. I was very happy with the outcome. I even had them come back out and add some additional lighting in my home. I have had no problems with any of the lights or switches. Everything is up to code in my home. I am completely happy. My builder paid them out of the cost of my home.
Description of Work: Joe Swartz Electric did all of the wiring in the walls, installed the switches and lights in my new 2500 square foot home.

I think they did very well and I am rather happy with the service. I thought that they were very professional and they were very nice to me as well. I have no problems with the box now. The unit is working fine and thank goodness we got to it in time or else everything would have burnt down. Thanks to them I am now safe. I thought the price was also rather cheap. I probably could have bought a new unit, but, this way was a tad cheaper.
Description of Work: Joe Schwartz installed a new meter in the 3 ton heating unit that is in my two bedroom home. The meter had busted and it needed a new box or something. I am not to sure the purpose of the meter, but, it definitely needed one. The heat would not work without it.

Originally, my builder had the lighting fixture out of center so he had hired Joe to come and fix it. The builder actually paid for this because it was kind of his fault. Whenever the man came into do this, I really enjoyed his company. He was really great man and I feel my builder made a wise decision. I got his business card and told him that if I ever needed him for anything, I would be sure to call him first. He did well moving the fixture and I have not had a problem with it at all. I am very pleased.
Description of Work: Joe Swartz moved a lighting fixture a few feet to the center of the kitchen in my two story home.

I think they were the best subs out of the whole bunch. We had a problem with a fluorescent light which I believe was a faulty product and not their fault. I called and they came out that day to fix it. The light would come on the first time I turned it on, however when I shut it off and tried to turn it back on, it would flicker. They did something to fix it. They were very nice to us and they had great customer service. Our builder paid them.
Description of Work: Joe Schwartz Electric Company did all of the wiring in the walls and outlets during the construction of our 2000 square foot new home. This also included the panel box and putting in light fixture.

I will definitely be having these people come to our home again. They did a marvelous job. The work was done in a timely manor. They came right away and our ceilings are so high but, they did not have a problems getting to the smoke detectors at all. They were friendly and made the whole processes enjoyable.
Description of Work: We had purchased a new house that was still under warrantee. We needed this company to come out and fix our smoke alarms. They were all going off at the same time. There are about 8 of them throughout the house and they are hard wired to the ceiling. So they came and fixed the wiring and turned them all off. There was no cost because of the warrantee.

The reason I called was that several outlets hadn't been working in my kitchen. My A/C had also gone out. Figured I'd call an electrician first. The guy (forget his name) came out, and found the problem, and changed out the outlet. He then went in the attic to look at my furnace switch. He said it wasn't working, so he changed that as well. My A/C still didn't work, but that's another story. Overall, he did a good job, solved my problem, and was fair in his pricing. The only negative I had was he talked about his Vietnam war days. Guess he's still fighting them. Oh well, he won the war against my outlet so I'm satisfied. One note: I learned that not every electrician will come out on a service call. I called a couple, and only called Swartz because they had originally wired the house 7 years ago.
Description of Work: Changed out an electrical outlet.

Joe's worker was at my house fixing some things that were covered by my builder. I wanted a light installed above my bathtub, so I ask Joe's worker if he could do it for me. I figured he would have to come back to do it, but he said he would clear it with Joe. Joe told him to go right ahead and do it for me, and his prices were very good. He did a great job installing the light and it only took him thirty minutes.
Description of Work: Joe sent his worker to my house to install a light above my bathtub. It was the upstairs bathroom, so he was able to go in the attic and cut a hole right above the bathtub and splice the wiring from the attic. He installed a waterproof light and added sheetrock and caulking around the light. He went back in the attic and put the insulation and cover back in place.
