John and his crews were awesome. They were fast, professional and thorough. Any additional lawn care needs I identified, such as erosion issues, were immediately addressed by John. He's quite a creative problem solver. As I write this review for John, my husband and I are seated at a table on our back patio, enjoying the beautifully landscaped yard. Thank you, John.

Jon was incredible. I know it can be a pain to work with an homeowner's association, but he really worked with us to come up with a design that was within our budget. He came and met with me a couple times to get it right and then presented it to the other owners. From the green light, he had everything installed in a couple days and it looks excellent. Quality plants that will work in our shaded area and be low maintenance, just as we needed. He also included a solution for our gutter downspouts and fixed some issues with our sprinkler system. Looks stunning!

We could not be happier with the work that Jon and his crews did for us. They were fast, careful and thorough. Jon communicated with us often from the moment we signed on with him until the job was done. There were quick little extra touches throughout the job that popped up and really added to the final product. Jon listened to our needs and responded with ideas and implementations that met them perfectly. We recommend JB very highly and will certainly use them again when we're ready to add features.

the result is awsome, more than i have expect, because he included some curve, and also go on an area with i didn t have thinking. It's a really amazing job, he can working only one day by week by my schedule, in 2 days, the work was done. The place stay clean after him job.

This summer we needed our backyard landscaped after having a new covered deck and patio installed by another vendor. I had searched through reviews on Angie's List and a neighborhood website to find a good, reliable, and responsive landscape design and maintenance company. I found JBL had such positive reviews, and I liked what I read about them. I asked them and my landscaping/yard maintenance company at the time (I had used that company for 20 years) to provide a bid for my job. Anthony of JBL answered my request, visited our property to look over the job, and gave me a detailed plan and bid in very short order. It took a week before my current company even responded to my initial phone call. I went with JBL and told the other company not to bother. Anthony and owner Jon were wonderful to work with! They are excellent communicators (so different from the company I had been using). They worked with our timeline, which included some delays to allow the deck/patio people to finish and then some deadlines. (Our daughter was getting married and we wanted it done by a certain date.) I especially liked that they did not try to up-sell or get us to buy more than we needed. For example, we thought we needed to replace our fence. They recommended just power washing it and replacing some pickets. That was much cheaper than a whole new fence, but it looked like new when they finished it! Our neighbors even said so! They recommended plants that would do well in our climate all year, rather than plants that needed to be replaced each season. We were extremely pleased with the end product. It's beautiful! The water feature is so pretty and works well. The sprinkler system is much better than we had before. Because we were so happy with JBL, we fired our long-time yard maintenance company and went with JBL to do that too. They are more expensive than the other company (that's the only reason for the B on price), but so much more responsive and communicative than the other company. I will say they are worth the extra money! They warrantied everything and since have had to replace some plants that didn't make it. They did so with no questions asked. Anthony and Jon are the best! I highly recommend them, and I already have to my next-door neighbors. One of them has used JBL as well, with great results. But I'll let her write her own review.

They were timely, professional and left my place looking great each day. I received a text when they were late one day because they were picking up materials. I had constant updates and whenever there was any type of question, they reached out.. Anthony and Jon are also respectful of both their crew and their clients.

Jon's crew assembled and did the work in about 3 days, Jon was there himself through most of the work making sure all the designs were completed as planned. The place was cleaned up and all material not used were removed at the jobs end. We give him and his team our highest recommendation.

In spite of the heat, the crew did a great job, cleaned up every day, and I ended with exactly what I had pictured, but never dreamed it would really come true. My daughter gave Jon a sketch of what I said I wanted and he ran with it adding some of his own great ideas. This is a fantastic group of people and Jon could not be better. I recommend this company very highly. They are so conscientious about doing a good job, a work ethic one does not often see these days.

The actual work went very quickly! I was surprised they got most everything done in 1 week. The pavers went in first. The company worked well with my husband as he wanted some conduit under the pavers for wiring & gas. Putting in pavers is a bit noisy so the neighbors weren't so happy but the crew worked from 8 - 6 and always left things clean. The patios only took 21/2 days to install. At any point if we were not pleased with something, Jon would immediately fix it. He would always give his honest opinion. I made a suggestion about using a different plant and he explained why he thought it wasn't a good idea. He also stands behind his work. We had problems with 2 of the lights and he was back to fix it within a couple days. Also one of the small trees that he planted didn't do well. Again, once we were convinced it wasn't a temporary shock problem, he brought out a new tree. Honestly we could not be more pleased with the process and the work completed! He was not the cheapest bid but he takes pride in doing the job well and meeting the needs of the customer without surprising anyone with an invoice higher than quoted. I'm looking forward to using his services when we tackle the front yard!

Anthony scheduled an appointment quickly and was very professional. He provided a detailed cost list and drawing. Importantly, the plan provided a lot of color and a variety of plants. Jon came to the house to review the plan and to make a few adjustments. We were pleased with the proposal and scheduled the work. Jon, Anthony and crew arrived as scheduled and went straight to work. They sought our input where necessary and gladly made adjustments. The work was completed in one day and looked great. The before and after pictures show such a dramatic contrast. I received three bids for the project. Anthony's bid was the most comprehensive and provided the best value for dollar spent. Aside from great ratings on Angie's List, I got a very strong positive impression from both Jon and Anthony and they lived up to their reputation and my instincts. It is great when a project is finished and everything exceeded your expectations the first time around.

I called to get an estimate and my call was returned promptly and a site visit was scheduled for a few days later. Jon came out and looked at everything and talked with me about what we wanted. I told him i would like to do the project in four phases. Jon came back a few days later and presented us with a plan for all four phases. We decided to start with phase 1 which was redoing the front beds and expanding around the side of the house. This included new plants and a couple of accent boulders. They came out and did the work in about 1/2 a day. Jon has a crew that has been with him for several years and they work like a well oiled machine. Jon is right out there working with them by the way. They did a great job and everything looked so great that we decided to go ahead and schedule Phase 2. Phase 2 was adding a crushed granite path from the driveway to the front walk, adding a cut stone border to the front beds and installing a fountain. Once again they came out and got it all done very quickly. Our front yard looks amazing now. We can't wait to get started on Phase 3. They are not the cheapest in town, but i believe that you get what you pay for and the work they did would have taken us months to complete and it would not have looked nearly as good. I would recommend JB Landscape Design and will use them again for future projects.

Everything went very smoothly. We got an estimate around Labor day and the work was completed on the scheduled day with no issues. They even walked me through watering instructions and made sure we were satisfied with the way everything turned out. Anthony provided options for us to choose from based upon colors, watering needs, and ease of maintenance. He sketched out the plan and showed us pictures of the plants/flowers selected to ensure we were in agreement. They even used the leftover mulch to do the rest of my yard and threw in a couple extra flowers to fill in a couple gaps. Overall could not be happier with the service and results.

Jon was a professional from start to finish, and we really enjoyed the process of working with him. We had searched for a landscape designer for over 1 year and found it difficult to connect with someone who would understand our needs and work within our budget. That was a non-issue with Jon. He is passionate about his work, and made the process fun. We had two great brainstorming meetings with him where we shared our thoughts on overall concept, design, and specifics that we wanted to incorporate into our outdoor living space. He would make helpful recommendations to keep the design within our budget, choose plants that would be low-maintenance (important for us), and suggest elements that went with the overall feel we were going for (i.e. modern / contemporary). One example was the privacy screen / fence on our back deck; he came up with the design and stain suggestion, which was far better than the ideas we had come up with on our own. Jon was on-site every day, working along with his crew the whole time he was here, and the work completed in 4 business days. Given that we had the work done in the heat of summer, some of the grass / plants we put in had some trouble staying alive, and Jon was prompt in sending his crew back to change the sprinkler timing and also replace some areas with new grass. The experience was so positive that we are considering using Jon's regular maintenance services. We couldn't be happier with the final product, and are very appreciative for Jon's help in making our outdoor living space dreams a reality!

JB Landscaping did a fantastic job starting from the very beginning. We had John out to give us a quote almost a year before work actually began. Our life got in the way of starting right away, the delay had nothing to do with John. When we received the quote he showed us his sketch plan of how everything would look. He really has an eye for detail and really knows what will work where and why. He was not the cheapest company that quoted for this work, but certainly the most serious and prepared. Our job was quite large, most companies that quoted simply didn't want to do it, or didn't think we would actually go through with it so we got a mediocre response. John sat with us on multiple occasions looking at photos, googling different types of plants so we were positive we knew exactly what we were getting. The install went very smooth and the yard looks FANTASTIC! John and his crew showed up when they said they would and got all the work done according to the sketch originally provided. We would definitely use John again, without question.

J.B Landscape made an appointment with me to give me an estimate for my landscaping for 4 PM 07/22/15. I had to take off from my work for 2 hours to be there for them. No one showed up and no return for my multiple calls. I know their response is going to be that 'No service was provided for this customer'. Your first quality measure is your communication and commitment for your customers. You loose the trust and fail, if you can't honor and fulfill your first appointment. My suggestion is to stay away from such vendors who have no regard for other people's time.

Excellent, this was by far the best landscape contractor, if not the best contractor overall we have used and we will be using them in the future. They were prompt and on-time and everything went very well. We felt they not only did their scope, but went out of their way to do it well and professionally. Extremely nice and polite. A+++

The whole project went very well. I got four bids from landscaping companies on Angie's list, and I chose J.B. Landscape because I liked John Bruckbauer's ideas better than the others. Although others also made sketches, John drew the front of the house as well and drew the plants in color, which gave a better idea of how the finished project would look. One of his ideas was to use a three ceramic pot arrangement, complete with irrigation, as a focal point for the front garden. His crew came on the agreed upon date and tore out all the old plantings, which were quite overgrown, and prepared the soil for the new plants. They cleaned up the debris and hauled it away. They came back in a couple of days and put in the new plants and checked the irrigation. John was with them much of the time. He is definitely a hands-on supervisor. We had to wait a couple of weeks for the sod because of the rainy weather, but John kept me informed. I plan to use J.B. Landscape on a quarterly basis to replace annuals, trim the shrubs, and fertilize if necessary.

John, Andrew and their crew came in and completely cleared our backyard. They were able to re-sod, landscape, prune, install drainage, sprinklers, crushed granite walkway and activity area all in one day. It is beautiful. The few small issues that we had, John came out and fixed to our satisfaction in a timely manner. They were available and communicative throughout the entire process. I'm proud to be able to support a company owned by an accomplished American veteran. I would definitely recommend using their services.

JB Landscaping did a fabulous job on my front yard. I can't say enough good things about this company. Their whole crew is professional and courteous. The landscaping is gorgeous. I even had a few plants that needed replacing after a few weeks which they did without any problems. My favorite part of the yard is the fountain pot that they installed. I will be hiring them again soon to redo my backyard.

Came out and evaluated the yard, came back with a detailed proposal with graphic rendering of how it will look. Scheduled appointment and yard was completed as promised. Everything was left clean. Team was great. Job went really efficiently. Any deviation was from the original plan was throughly explained (for example we wanted to remove the ground cover from around our tree and plant grass up to the trunk - the roots stand 3 feet from ground level - the tree was planted too high 25 years ago) so the redesigned the area, put stones around and mulch around the tree the design incorporated beautifully with the landscaping. I would highly recommend them and we are already scheduling them to come out in 6 months for a pre summer trim and make ready.

Jon and his crew were wonderful from start to finish. They were on time and worked very hard to transform our front yard into a welcoming oasis. The materials they used were top quality and we couldn't be more thrilled with our experience.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Jon, the owner of J.B. Landscape Design. He is a perfectionist and gets enthusiastic about creating good looking landscapes. He was involved in every step of the project, from designing the layout to working alongside his crew, who are also impressive. Everyone worked and knew what to do, the sign of a good team. The new beds look truly awesome, like those I saw on a recent trip the Mercer Arboretum. I'm very happy with the results. When contracting out, you are always apprehensive of who you hire, but I decided to trust Jon and he came through with a winner. I've included before, during, and after photos with this review.

Great Job.... Very professional and easy to work with. Anthony offered many options for our project and put us at ease from the very beginning. He suggested adding a fountain in the backyard, something we had not thought about. What a difference, it looks AMAZING. They started and finished the job when they said they would. A few days after the completion of the project Anthony returned to ensure we were 100% satisfied and did not have any questions. We intend to use them for another small project in our backyard. You will not be disappointed with their service.
