They said they would be in before Easter and I did put a down payment of $1500 on them. They came out and measured for the blinds and I was very pleased with them and they were very professional. They have not installed the shutters yet, they are still building them and I am waiting for them to contact me when they are done to install them, I will play the remainder of the bill. The people that came were very nice and professional.

I called John on behalf of my mother and John organized a time to come out when she was available to be at the house (she lives in Dallas usually). They measured all the windows, brought samples of different blinds, helped to match the blinds to the wood panelling throughout the house and then made recommendations regarding each type of blind and their pros and cons. John then emailed a quote and my mother chose what she wanted, it took a few days from the time she confirmed her order and paid her deposit until the blinds were delivered in Houston and we got a call to set up a time to install them. John then waited ujntil my mother was able to come back down to check the blinds before expecting his final payment. When my mother noticed a minor issue with the installation, John came back out within a day to correct the issue himself. I highly recommend them for both product quality and quality of service. Both John and his wife were extremely friendly and helpful and they were full of information to assist in making a decision, plus they did not necessarily recommend the most expensive option. WHen they found out there had been an issue they were extremely apologetic and made sure the problem was corrected themselves before they expected their final payment.

Everything went as planned. Casey was punctual and did professional work. I would use them again.

Excellent. Casey came out and gave a detailed written estimate and the final price was exactly what was estimated. He also honored the 10% Angie's List discount. From order to install, the process took about 5-7 business days. Very quick service and he worked around our schedules.

They were fast, reliant, courteous, helpful, very nice to work with and had better prices then the competition.

I was very pleased with the way they showed up on time for their appointment. They met the deadline that they promised and I am pleased with the material so far. I will use them again in the future.

I checked them out because I had seen them on Angie’s List and also because another friend had told me about them. The estimate was free. I would probably not use them in the future because their estimated price of $4000 was way higher than everyone else’s.

It went very well. They came to the house with their samples and we discussed my options and prices. I ended up going with white plantation shutters through out most of the home and chose plastic white blinds for a few rooms in the back of the house. The order took about 8 weeks as they quoted to arrive. The installation did not go perfectly. The installation for the most part went well but they had a new installer that did a terrible job of caulking. When I complained about it the owner of the company came out and personally helped fixed the bad caulk jobs and helped the new guy install. It was probably a lot of pressure for the new installer but I appreciated it. The price was about half of what it would have cost me if I went to a high quality window covering store front. I was able to afford the plannation shutters which I couldn't do at other places I had recieved quotes from. They are real wood not plastic. I always get compliments on how they look.

There were two people that came and they were husband and wife. They were very nice but the product was not good. One of the blinds that was supposed to be of wooden came up with a color that did not look like wooden. The other one was silk. They came all wrinkled and I sent them back. They said that they could not remove the wrinkle. They said that it was ordered specially and that they could not do anything about it. The other blind that I ordered came in a different color than the one that I ordered. I had ordered silk but they had sent cotton and fortunately they were able to take that back. So overall, I would not recommend them. The people were great and very helpful but the product that they sold was lousy. They were very helpful as a couple and were willing to listen. I would never buy from them again. There was nothing spectacular about their price. They were late on delivering what I had ordered. The people that came over were professional. The two drapes were more expensive and I still have them but they are still wrinkled. They told me that with time the silk would be unwrinkled which was nonsense. They were silk roman shades and I even put some weight in them. It was for two small windows and it was $600 which was not cheap. I thought that getting silk would be nice. They took it with them to be unwrinkled but they brought it back saying that they could not. They should not be called 'wholesalers' as there was nothing wholesale about their price. I hope that I could help somebody else to be careful about them.

This is a great value for a truly excellent product and service. We first priced out polycore plantation shutters from Lowe's, then checked Angie's List to see what else was out there. Good thing we did. I called Houston Wholesale Blinds & Shutters, left a message, and immediately received a return call. We arranged for an estimate, and a really kind and lovely (not to mention knowledgeable -- and how!) husband-and-wife team came out to our house and measured the windows. They actually keep all their samples in their truck, so I was able to see how different styles of shutters and different fabrics looked in my home. Anyway, their custom wood plantation shutter estimate beat the big-box self-measured plastic shutter estimate by enough to include a custom grasscloth-type roman shade for an outside door and still come in under the original big-box estimate. The service and installation was great -- the technician took his time and made absolutely sure everything was flush and perfectly fitted in our windows -- and our salesperson team followed up immediately to make sure we were satisfied. And we are! We've enjoyed the window treatments for two months now, and my two and a half year old son has definitely durability tested them to the max. They show no signs of wear. We got a truly custom, real wood product with a perfect fit and an interior-designer look for less than the competing plastic product we would have had to measure for ourselves. The only thing you have to take into account with this particular wood product (the company also reps others) is that the plantation shutter product is manufactured in China and comes over by slow boat, so be prepared to wait six weeks for your great value in custom wood shutters. The roman shade product is a very fast turnaround, though, like one to two weeks. We couldn't be happier!! We will definitely use this company when we re-do other rooms in our home.

Very prompt, professional , responsive, courteous, responsible,and skilled. Casey really went the-extra-mile for customer service. During installation, he examined the blinds, found a non-straight piece, took it out, and returned the next day with the replacement without me mentioning a single word. The shutters will be put in later this month and I will update the report. So far, my experience with them is EXCELLENT!

came over promptly with samples, gave me multiple choises and pointed out the most cost effecient. came the following weekend and hung all the blinds, carried away the old shades, very pleasant to work with. KG

The accordian blinds were finished within a week. They look good and fit well. The wood shutters took much longer. Yes, they are very expensive, but the company does a good job of finding a reasonably priced manufacturer of the newer blinds without the bar in the middle. The installers were very careful and did a good job of adjusting them to my non-square windows so that the non-squareness is not noticeable. I love the look, although I am still getting used to the fact that the shutters don't allow in as much light as my ancient venetian blinds did.

I had gotten some shutters for another house back in 2003 and called the manufacturer which is here locally and they referred me to Houston Wholesale Blinds as the rep for their product in my area. Casey and his service providers were great. We called and set up and appointment, he came on time and at our preferred time and showed us the different product offerings for the shutters. Our windows were a bit of a unique situation due to the type of crown moulding like trim around the window openings. We were unsure how the typical shutter frame would fit, work, or look with our existing moulding, so Casey had Tom, the represenative from the shutter company come out and look at our situation. They presented us with the option they thought would work best, and measured to make sure that once installed, the louvers would have plenty of clearance to fully open and close. They even went the extra mile and came back a few days later with a frame built specifically for one of our windows so that my wife and I could see exactly how it was going to look and function with the existing window trim before we ordered a whole house full of shutters. If they hadn't done that we probably would have just ordered a shutter or two to see how it looked. Once they put the sample frame in we decided it looked great and was exactly what we wanted, so we ordered shutters for the entire house. Phillip their installer came out and did final measurements and confirmed that everything would operate as planned. After about 6-8 weeks the shutters came and they called to schedule installation. Phillip their installer is extremely professional and installed all of the shutters in just a few hours, it went great and the shutters look amazing, what a difference. Casey and his team were a pleasure to deal with, they installed a great looking high quality product and at a price that was significantly less than the competition.
