It went great! They did a great job and cleaned up all the mess as well.

He does a lot of stuff for me. He got everything in great shape. He is honest and trustworthy. I have used him for five years.

I had an existing quote to get the work done (3 trees chopped, 5 trimmed) for a high amount by a tree company located in Conroe, so I called a couple of other companies for quotes. Houston Tree Service Team was in my zip code, and when I called, they were able to send someone (Hugo) out within a few minutes. His quote was lower than the first company and I liked supporting a company in my zip code. That was Monday. We arranged for his crew to come on Wednesday. They showed up just before 8am and got to work. They were done by 2:30. While working, Hugo and crew noticed a few additional tree limbs that should be removed and proactively removed them at no additional cost. The guys were quite professional and efficient. One thing that could've been a little better: clean-up. The clean-up in my front, side, and back yards was fine. The crew used my neighbor's driveway for one of the big trees and the machine tracked some dirt on it that wasn't cleaned all the way. The neighbors didn't make it a big deal. I researched tipping for tree removal and saw that a typical tip amount is $5-$10 per person if the job is done well. I wasn't sure I'd be home when the crew finished to examine their work & tip, so instead of money, I treated them to lunch.

This is the 2nd time I have used this company. He does a good job at an Excellent price. I had another company come out and bid this job and they quoted me a full thousand dollars more than Houston Tree service. They came out early and got the job done in a timely and efficient manner.

I submitted a request online for an estimate. I received a call back from Hugo and set an appointment for him to come out. He never showed and did not call. Now 9 days later I have never heard from them.

I called and spoke to a guy who took my information down, what I needed and we set up a time for him to come that day. I waited all day for him to come or call... he never showed to give me an estimate or to called to find my house.

Communication when getting the estimate and scheduling the service was very good. We were their first job of the day and they came 45 minutes late - I had to call to see where they were. Once they arrived they did a very good job. Removed everything they were supposed to and cleaned up well. No complaints on their work, I would use them again.

They were very professional. They quoted the price, scheduled a time to come-out, email the day before, and called an hour before they came out each time. They made sure not to disturb in other yard items other than the roots. They cleaned up and raked the area after they were finished. They did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them and would use them again which I already did. I had them clean dead limbs and prune two large trees and trim a 15 foot high; 60 foot long privacy hedge. They also performed this service in an excellent manner on 12/02/2014. They hauled off all of the branches and rake the area. In both cases the appointments were setup ahead the time and the price was agreed on. There were no surprises and they were punctual. The price was actually a lot better than one of Angie's List Big Deals offering $200 off. The stump removal price I paid was $230 and Angie's big deal price I was quote with the $200 off was still $425 or it would have been a total cost of $625

Hugo Martinez came out to my home the Monday before to give a proper estimate of how much it would cost to remove the trees. We agreed that I would follow up on Friday and he would remove the trees on Monday. I forgot to call on Friday and instead called Monday morning, he said "Yes, he's coming out." So he did and then called a couple hours later to let me know he was almost finished with the work. He had indeed removed the trees and stumps and was just driving his machine out of my yard, as I pulled up. He was very courteous and even pointed out that there was a small pecan tree growing near the foundation of the house. He offered to remove it on his way out, which he did. All of the obvious debris was removed from the yard and the holes filled in, he warned me to watch for possible reproductions of the palms. Very nice guy, decent price I think and overall I'm happy.

Advance estimate of cost was provided and competitive with other companies. Crew showed up when scheduled and very quickly got the job done. Removal and clean-up of area was as expected for a job of this type. Very happy with the work done.

Supervisor plus 3 man crew showed up as scheduled. Crew spent all day trimming trees, mulching and cleaning area of all downed limbs and branches. Ground several old tree stumps. Excellent service, price, and most courteous. Would definitely use Houston Tree Service Team again. We now feel safe to go outside again without fear of falling limbs.

Hugo and his team performed as promised and then some. They showed up as scheduled, took out four trees, trimmed up the others, removed all debris and ground the stumps. He even offered to grind down other stumps on my large lot since he had his stump grinding machine out and running. Saved me a trip to and rental of stump grinding machine. There is no doubt that I'll be calling him in the Spring once the pecan trees and other unleafed trees have greened up so they can remove the dead wood and trim those up.

Hugo and his team were great! I contacted several companies I found on Angie's List and cross referenced with other online reviews and the BBB. Everything I found on this company was good, they were bonded and insured (super important because our neighbors...and their windows are very close!) and the cost was comparable to the others I contacted. I chose this one because Hugo was prompt, polite and professional when we met for the estimate. A team of three - including Hugo - arrived when promised and completed the job in about 2 hours. It wasn't easy because of the location (a space of about 2 feet between a wall at the pool and the fence), but they managed and I couldn't be happier with the results. When they were done cutting, they cleaned up and hauled off all the trimmings which was expected, but I feel that they also went beyond by cleaning the pool (even cleaning out the filters!) and the patio of all the leaves. Since bamboo grow ridiculously fast and quickly become unruly, we'll no doubt have them back to do the same this time next year. I will definitely recommend them to neighbors and friends.

Everything went great. I wasn't personally home, but my husband was. He was very impressed with the workers, they were punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. We purchased the big deal and were amazed how much they got done in 8 hours. We would hire them again without hesitation.

They did a great job. It took almost the entire day. They called in additional guys to help so that the job would go quicker. They were punctual, very polite and very neat.

After the storm, I had a number of trees that needed to be removed in my yard. I called the company, left a message. Got a call back, set up a time that worked out for both of us. About 3 hours before the appointment, they called back just to confirm. Time for the appointment came and went. Never showed up. I tried calling them, which routed me to their answering service. They never called back, didn't offer an explanation. I would understand it if a job took longer than expected and they were delayed. Due to the storm, I'm sure many people were calling upon them. But to make an appointment, and then to never follow up or even try to reschedule? Highly unprofessional.

The team was very polite and professional. They arrived promptly and started working. The owner, Hugo, performed the stump grinding and settled the very reasonable bill with me. I highly recommend this team and will be using them again.

I think that it is important to note that the company name is "Houston Tree Service Team" so as not to confuse it with other tree services with similar names. The owner of the company gave us his bid and also did all the work. He was very professional with 18 years experience. He was prompt, courteous, organized and worked hard. He cut back all the trees in our backyard and left the yard very clean and clear of debris. I will definitely use this company again and highly recommend it as exceptional.

Hugo was a pleasure to work with. He was able to come out and give an estimate the same day I called. He walked around the yard and made suggestions as far as removing or trimming various trees. We thought his estimate was very fair and he was able to schedule the work within a few days. We were impressed with his honesty when I brought up an Angie's List Big Deal that could be used on $2300 worth of work and Hugo told us that we did not have that amount of work. Another tree service I called based on a similar Angies' List Big Deal just told me to buy the coupon and they would do whatever we needed done and did not offer to do an estimate. We appreciated Hugo's advice and it saved us money! Hugo and his crew did a great job and were very polite and courteous. They removed a dead pine tree and another rather large tree. They removed several smaller trees that were overhangin our pool and trimmed some bushes around the pool, as well as trimmed/cleared out another area of our backyard. Reliant Energy had left behind a huge amount of debris from 2 very large pine trees they removed following last year's Houston drought. Hugo and his team hauled all of that debris away as well. Finally he ground several stumps. Overall we were very pleased and our previously overgrown backyard looks great!

Hugo and team removed about 8 trees and 5 stumps for me. He was very prompt with a service quote. And the day the job was performed he and the team were very prompt. They completed the job with such professionalism and they were also very fast. They were also hired by a neighbor of mine at the time my trees were done. I would absolutely recommend Hugo and team again. They were awesome.

Left a message through the website contact form and got a call and a visit the next day. Hugo came out and gave me a verbal estimate (no charge) and we scheduled time for the following weekend. I asked for a written estimate and he said he would send one to me, but I never got it. Two days later he called to say there had been a cancellation and ask if they could come by that day, instead. His team arrived about 3 hours later and did the work promptly and cleanly -- no messy tree bits to clean up after. They were also able to remove the tree limb that extended into in my neighbor's (fenced) yard without him being home to let them in, which was necessary because of the scheduling changes. All in all, very happy with services performed and the result -- would recommend and use again.
