+ -1 moreThe crew was very prompt and professional. The shutters came in about 2-3 weeks earlier than originally estimated. The installers worked around our schedule and came one evening to install all 9 sets of shutters. They look fantastic.
Description of Work: Measured, built, and installed plantation shutters on 9 windows at our house.

+ -1 moreOverall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. While the shutters arrived earlier than expected, the installers shattered one security glass panel and cracked three frames during installation. I had to bring the cracked panels to their attention, as they didn't identify them to me post-installation. Another panel of shutters was mismeasured and had to be re-made. While the installers agreed to pay for the glass repair and have the frames re-made, I never once heard from management at this company regarding the damage to my home or their installation-damaged product. Meanwhile, they charged my credit card the remaining 50% nearly two weeks prior to resolving all the damage issues. I've yet to hear from any management with this company. Having said that, the kids that did the installation were respectful just not attentive to detail in completing their work. Given the "striving for perfection" mantra on their website, I expected much more on many levels.
Description of Work: We contracted with Houston Shutters for 29 windows to be covered with louvre-less wood shutters. Each shutter was to be framed around the windows. The signed agreement was stipulated by 50% down to begin making the shutters with the remaining 50% to be collected after the shutters were installed.

+ -1 moreThe whole house recently had indoor shutters installed on all the windows and some of the doors. Houston Shutters are very professional and make a very nice shutter. The sales person measures everything to make sure they fit precisely and the wood has a lifetime warranty against warping. The shutters are beautiful in our home and the men did a fine job of getting them installed to perfection.
Description of Work: We ordered indoor shutters for the rooms in our home. Houston Shutters made the shutters and did the installation. There are a couple of large bay windows in our home as well as many smaller windows and we had shutters put on them all. We liked them so much we even put them on our doors in the house. The shutters come with a lifetime warranty on the wood not to warp.
