Ryan was very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. He made dealing with the insurance company much easier than it would have been on my own. The actual work went as smooth as possible and I am very happy with my new roof! Would definitely use them again.

We selected HR&C for several reasons - customer service, quality of product and warranty, and price. We weren't disappointed on any of them. I asked Dave A LOT of questions and he was always quick with a helpful response. After one question, he connected me with Nathan, the owner, to insure I was satisfied with the answer. The conversation put me at ease that this was the company to select. The crew arrived on a Friday to start work, as scheduled. It took them a day longer to complete than scheduled, but that's because the heat index was over 100 that weekend and they had to stop early on Saturday to stay healthy. No complaints for that! They cleaned up and the crew leader made adjustments to several areas that we questioned. Our neighbor just kept saying "It looks so good!" While I haven't had reason to use either warranty, given the drought we're having, based on the experience we've had to-date, I'm sure HR&C will insure any needed corrections will be made timely and GAF is a nationwide manufacturer who has solid reviews.

On April 17, 2016, approximately 6 months from the repairs and maintenance done to my roof, a significant amount of rain fell. Although my home was not flooded, i did experience several leaks in my roof. Water entered my home through walls, in between floors and into ceilings. I filed a claim with my insurance company and called this company the same day. The insurance company concluded approximately $4250 worth of damage occurred to my home, of which $1300 was roof repair and the remaining was repairs to the inside of the home as a result of the water intrusion damage. 7 weeks later this company has still not arrived to assess and repair. They claim the warranty is no longer valid and they schedule time to come and estimate the repairs (not repair, but they plan to cover absolutely none of the damages even though i purchased a "no leak" warranty as they call it. A copy of the last email i sent today, June 2, 2016 is below after they scheduled with me for them to arrive "sometime" today and at 1:55 PM sent me and EMAIL saying they would have to reschedule yet again: Nathan don't worry about coming out. You've wasted more than your share of my time. I will be filing complaints with the authorities regarding the screw job you gave me on the $1400 you've taken from me up to this point along with the, literally, zero customer service and disregard for my home with the fake repair and fake warranty you charged me for. By the way... If you would read the claim you'll find that the water intrusion caused a whopping $1400 of roof damage you try to keep referring to as hail damage... Which there was not. And I would also like to inform you that your roofer tried to tell me that he could "help the roof along" at a later time to get the insurance to cover a new one. Sounds like a common theme with your company given you yourself referred legal representation to me to try to sue my insurance company for hail damage that did not happen. The area the insurance company is covering isn't even near the fireplace. The only item listed by the fireplace was flashing... Which is the work you supposedly did for me. If you're saying that's wind damage show me where the wind damaged any other part of the roof. You can't. You're people did not repair what I paid you to repair the first time. We didn't have 50 mile an hour winds... We had rain. You charge folks $600 for a warranty that doesn't cover damage from a storm? What else can damage your work? You portray your warranty as a warranty... Yet there is no circumstance where it can be used by your customers. Deceit... Pure deceit. Your attempts to get me to lie to the insurance company will be well documented as well, I can assure you. For it to be 7 weeks since my initial call and you and your company to ignore calls, change your phone number, set appointments and not show, and still not a finger lifted to get my water intrusion issues addressed is absolutely unacceptable and in my opinion makes you liable for the additional problems that will result until I can get a contractor here to address it... It's as simple as that. You have waisted my time and caused me significant damage, personally and financially. Good luck to you but I can assure you I will inform everyone... as many people, officials and agencies with respect to the dishonest, poor service, and unethical practices of your company.

It went fairly well, considering the scope of the job. I would have prepared my house and yard better for the mess that occurred. And I should have insisted on better storage of items that were going to be reused. When the job was initially finished, I found follow up and clean up harder to schedule. They were very responsive to my requests when I made myself very clear.

It was okay. Their workers were good. They worked really hard. The person who was over it did a good job but he had a meet management person that I was not really thrilled with and I did tell them. I told them every detail that I wasn't happy with. The head guy was right on it in calling me and staying in touch with me. Sometimes they didn't show up exactly when they were supposed to and it took a long time to get the job started but all in all he was professional.

I signed a contract with Houston Roofing and Construction Co. This allowed them to meet with my adjuster and stated that I was required to let them replace the roof if the insurance company approved it. When I met with J.R. Crocker, I told him that I wanted the company that replaced my roof to install a skylight(s)and two turbines. He assured me that his company could do this, so I signed the contract. I had only three days to cancel. It took him over 3 weeks to get the quote to me for the skylight. I got the insurance approval, e-mailed it to him and he told me he would provide the quote for me that week. He did not contact me until the following week. I got tired of waiting on him and got a quote from another roofing company. When he finally contacted me, I told him I was very concerned about working with a company that did not follow-up with customers when they said they would. The quote he sent was only for installing the exterior of the skylight and did not include a quote for the turbines. In the e-mail, he told me that I would have to hire another contractor to finish the inside of the skylight. I checked around and got a quote and found it was not advisable to use multiple contractors to install the skylight. I e-mailed him that I wanted to cancel my contract and hire a company that would do the complete installation of the skylight. Within 4 hrs, Nathan Braly, the owner, sent me a scathing letter and invoice telling me I had to pay him $2023.00 for and quot;consulting feesand quot; within 10 days or he would file a lien against my house. He never tried to contact me to find out why I was cancelling the contract. I called him and left messages but could not reach him so sent him a detailed narrative of why I was cancelling the contract and offered to pay him $150.00 for the time Mr. Crocker spent with my adjuster. He refused, accused me of being a and quot;penny pincherand quot;, told me I was unreasonable, and that he was still taking me to court.
