Houston Landscaping and Design

Design was perfect, they cleaned out a much overgrown area and replaced with an easy to maintain design. Couldn't be happier with the results!! Great curb appeal.

I chose this company because previous reviews mentioned creativity. I wanted something out of the ordinary for Houston ( to look like Texas Hill Country) but had no specific design in mind. I enjoyed working with Stephen because it was an iterative process: he tore out, we discussed, he brought some plants and I accepted or sent back, partial install and discuss, etc. If your preferred style is to co-create and participate in finalizing style elements and features as you go, you would enjoy working with Houston Landscaping & Design.

I had the grass replaced with flagstone for a townhome backyard (~9’ by 20’). A 4’ fence with vines was added to help cover the two A/C units. Vines were also added along the ~10’ property fence for added greenery. I was very happy with Stephen! Initially I had a basic idea of what I wanted but he suggested a lot of improvements (like the greenery and 4’ fence), which were great touches. He was responsive and laid out a schedule which he stuck to (the work only took a couple days). He was also on site and helping with the work, which i appreciated. Overall it was a great experience and I’d recommend him.

This went amazing well. I was really looking for someone to give me ideas and help design the landscape, not just do exactly what i said. I didn’t have the time nor the expertise. So, Stephen was awesome. He came and looked at the space and started coming up with ideas and suggestions. Very creative and met all my needs for the patio/yard. I had wanted to do a water feature, but then decided maybe either didn’t have enough space or would be too costly, but he said it could be done and he would make it work with whatever budget a provided. My patio/yard space has been completely revamped. Completely new design, the stone, flowers, shrubs, tree, and the sitting space now all worked. Beautiful colors for the flowers. A new professional irrigation system was put in place as such he guaranteed the flowers/shrubs/tree. I’m so pleased as none of the others i requested a quote from and talked to really could give me ideas/design the space in addition to installing the stone/flowers, etc.

Stephen Hale has done landscaping and gardening work for me for several months. In addition to the hard work he put into creating a beautiful garden, he built a screen around the air conditioner, and a screen to separate the garden from the carport. He has also made repairs to the sprinkler system. All of his work is top notch! He listens, makes suggestions, and diligently brings plans to life. He is very dependable, and no job is too small or too large. I recommend Stephen and his work without reservation.

It was fantastic. The deck is solid, better than I expected. They had very good attention to detail. I'd definitely use them again and have recommended them to friends and colleagues of mine.
