It went bad. Thought it went well at first as the provider did show up and take down information, looked at our outdoor space, and showed us samples of prior work. Then provider said it would take him a few days to work up some designs and we never heard back from him. So we spent our money on the design sessions, spent a lot of time with the designer, and then never got a design. Waste of our time and money.

Matt called 2 days after I order the assessment and scheduled a time to come out and measure the area to be designed. He came out on time with an assistant as scheduled. They got measurements, took a copy of my survey, talked briefly about what my vision was and how the fishing was in the area. We shock hands and they told me the designer was a little busy and they would be sending me the plans in about 5 to 10 days. That was 4 months ago. Since then I've called about 10 time talked to numerous people working at the company. All of them telling me the same thing. "Sorry about that - We've talked to Matt and he said you will have your design in just a few days". I've even asked for a new rep to come out and finish the job and well nothing has ever happened. I'm at a point where now I just trying to get a refund since the job was never completed. Wish me luck :(

The designer said he would put together a plan and cost estimate within a week. I emailed him on 7/30 and received a message that he was out of town, but would have it to me within a week. Nothing so I emailed again on 8/28 and received no more emails. I am a serious customer and want to get started but I guess this company doesn't really want more customers. I am very unhappy with having my time wasted.

Scheduling the evaluation went well however we ended up moving it due to a scheduling conflict on their end. No big deal though I was still off. Met with David who is actually a sub contractor for the company, Houston Cool Pools, that sold the evaluation. The evaluation really just turned out to be a bid for work in disguise. I sort of expected this but was kinda disappointed when David didn't even have a tape measure handy to take accurate measurements. The proposed 3D drawings came about a week later via email and the looked pretty good, a little out of proportion but not too bad. There were a couple of improvements that we had discussed that were left off the drawings but after emailing David the were fixed and he emailed me an up dated set. A few days later I had a bid, it seemed a bit steep to me but I haven't gotten any other bids on the work so I really can't say for sure. Over all I really feel that what I got for the $49 evaluation was not really worth it as many of my neighbors have gotten the same service for free as it was included as a bid for work. But in the end I was able to show my wife how I was thinking of changing our back patio up as she is a visual type person.

Houston Cool Pools called to setup the appointment. During the visit to my property we discussed on our future plans for the backyard and he took the measures needed to build the 3D model (He requested a copy of the property survey). After few days, he called back and told us our 3D project was ready. We went to Cool Pools office and the project was presented to us. Since the design included al the best features available, the price for the project was really high. However, they told us we could change some of the features to reduce the price.

They were punctual and did a great job in helping us decide on a design of pool and outdoor area

John K worked with us, he is very nice and extremely knowledgeable about pools. He is very attentive, patient and takes into considerations your requests and concerns. We will certainly use them once we decide to pull the trigger and get the pool done!

Pool design was super. Viewed the computer design on big screen in the office and interactively made changes as we desired. John did an excellent job of this. Construction was one of the finest orchestrations of trades and specialty crafts I have ever seen. All were professional, high-quality contractors using only the best materials. When the excavator loaded up his tractor to leave, the steel men pulled in the drive to start placing steel. Gunite was excellent. My wife called them the "Gunite Michelangelos". Plumbing, coping, and deck were all excellent. High quality materials, 2" pipe everywhere, and individual lines to each outlet instead of ganged together. We chose Pebble-Sheen interior finish and love it. The pebble-tec crew were excellent. Equipment package is all Pentair; highest quality and great warranty. Overall, this was an absolutely wonderful experience. Thank you Mike, Matt, and John for a job so well done. You finished on time as promised in spite of local shortage of our chosen coping stone and lots of rain in May. These folks were genuinely interested in pleasing us, and stayed with us from design to startup to make sure we were happy. We recommended them to our good friends, and they, too, are happy with their Houston Cool Pool. Great Job!

Mike is very professional & trustworthy. Provided excellent service & follow up. Provided numerous drawings & changes we requested.

IT WENT WELL EXCEPT FOR SOME SAND GETTING INTO POOL.

Promised date was Labor Day with a July start. Started in mid June, completion date of 10/19/2013. Poor management - did not meet the guarantees of the contract - no managerial oversight, despite contractual guarantees. Poor subcontractor management. Poor supervision. Poor customer communication. They kept to their word, were on time, and the entire project ran like clockwork. It was just a great experience overall. Mike and Matt have wonderful communication skills. This is our third pool that we have had installed, and this company is the best.

Very attentive and quick to give me a quote. Then when we decided to go with them they plastered super quickly. Great job on the pool at least as far as I can tell so far.
