We had such a good experience with Dave at our last inspection that we had to use him again. I had explained what we were looking for and why, so he had an idea what our concerns were during the inspection. Once again, Dave arrived early and got right to work. While this was a larger house, it took less time for the inspection. It was in better condition then the last one we looked at, according to Dave. Once again, he explained what he found and his thoughts and concerns whether good or bad. Also, for this inspection I scheduled it using the website. Due to some strange error the system created a new account for me. Both Glenn, Mandy and Bryan were all there to assist and get it straightened out. I would definitely use this company again.

Dave arrived about the same time we did. .. early. He answered all of our questions, showed us what he was finding, and explained everything so we could understand it. Without his thorough inspection we would have bought a house we didn't have the time to fix up.

Called them and asked about my need to inspect a 400 sq. ft patio. Gave their base line rate for a new home, and added that it was expensive, because it was for the entire house. Also went out of their way to check on what the requirements might be for getting an inspection to meet the city's requirements. Would highly recommend and will use them for any future needs.

Mike Elmore came out and did a very thorough inspection giving me tips all the while on how to best maintain the house. He also saved us more than the $400 investment in his presence by finding items that had not been completed to code (the supervisor was fired in the middle of building our home) which were covered under warranty for another few weeks. He also pointed out potential problems and what to look for and monitor so we could intervene early before any major damage occurred if necessary. Not only did Mike know his job, he was very personable and answered questions I had after his visit giving me tips on how to keep the builder from evading doing the repairs. Worth every penny!

great service with a timely report that was through and very insightful

Ordered an inspection online. It only gave me an option for one time, so I took it, but our realtor wanted a quicker one, so the next day they called me and said they have access to other appointment times. Anyways, in the future when i use them, I will call their office instead of booking online, because she can tell me all of their available appointment times and they can also approve your Angie's list coupon, which you couldn't do online. Jerry Arnold was our inspector. He was extremely nice and professional. He let me follow him around the entire 3 hours he was there and answered all my questions, even though I probably got on his nerves. :) :) There were some red flags that caught his attention concerning the foundation. He recommended a structural engineer, which we did follow his advice. Unfortunately we did not go through with that house, based on the evidence found by the structural engineer. David Moore came about 90 minutes later to inspect the house for termites. He was also really nice and professional and answered any of my questions. I would recommend either one of those guys or probably any body else on their roster.

I am very pleased with Texas Inspection Partners. I called them immediately after going into escrow, and they were able to come out and complete my home inspection on very short notice. The inspector, Jerry Arnold, was incredibly thorough. He did an excellent job pointing out items that needed fixing - both minor and not so minor. Then, after my report was complete (which was immediately after my inspection), I was able to speak with Jerry on the phone. He answered all of my questions and explained many things I did not know. I am very happy with this company and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

We worked with TIP on pre-sheet rock and final inspections for a new construction home. Making the appointments went smoothly even with only a couple days notice for the second inspection. Mike was very thorough and was great at explaining not only what he was looking for, but also why. The pre-sheet rock inspection went very smoothly. His report was sufficiently detailed to allow us to easily relay to the builder the few minor issues identified. However, the final inspection went less smoothly, largely due to incomplete and poor quality work done by the builder. Not only did Mike create a detailed report, he also provided me with the specific code violation numbers (so the builder could not dispute it), and was kind enough to explain the list of violations and recommendations to the construction superintendent when he unexpectedly showed up. Overall he helped calm what was turning into a stressful situation.

Mike did a great job. He walked through the entire home with us and pointed out any concerns he had or suggestions for things that we should watch in the future. He took his time and explained things at the right level of detail and made sure we were comfortable before moving to the next room or item. Honestly, he could be a great teacher if he wants a career change. His report was clear and concise. One thing that has bugged me with the inspectors for our previous homes is how they tend be very nit picky simply to justify their fees, pointing out every little nail hole where the sellers had hung pictures. I don't want to read through 50 pages of fluff just to get to essentially two or three pages of meaningful content. Mike's report didn't have that problem. He pointed out the things we talked about previously and included enough pictures to explain to the seller what the issue was. If we ever sell this house or look at another property for whatever reason, I'll be calling Mike at that point. I can't recommend him highly enough.

We chose TPI based on reviews, a list our Realtor gave us and the Angie's List discount. We are very happy with the results. Setting up the inspection was very simple using their website. I was given the option to pay after the inspection instead of upfront which I chose to do. Using the website to schedule the inspection and ultimately review the report and pay was very convenient. We had Glenn Wharton for the inspection of the house and David for the termite inspection. Both were extremely friendly and courteous. As a first time homebuyer, there's only so much preparation I can do to know what I'm getting into. I found both of them extremely open to answering any questions that I had. They also taught me a lot of information I didn't know. I really enjoyed following them around to see what they were doing. Luckily, they didn't seem to annoyed by my questions or my hovering over their shoulders to see what they were looking at. The entire inspection took about 2 1/2 hours for a 1500 square foot townhome and I got my report that evening. I highly recommend Glenn, David and TPI.

We are buying a 35-year old home and called Texas Inspection Partners, based upon reviews on Angies List. The office manager, Mandy, was very responsive to my phone call. I indicated we needed both a general home inspection and termite inspection. Mike Elmore came to the home at the scheduled time and spent approximately 4 hours in conducting his inspections. Mike was very professional and courteous and allowed me to follow him around during the inspection. He took many pictures of problems that he found and explained to me in detail the various issues. His inspections were very thorough both inside and outside the home. Mike is a high energy person and also has a nice sense of humor. The next day after the inspection I received Mike's reports with pictures via the firm's web site. I was very pleased with the detail of the report and am now aware of issues that will need to be addressed once we take ownership of the home. The total cost of both inspections was $505, which I thought was reasonable. I would highly recommend Texas Inspection Partners to anyone who is considering buying a used home.

Glenn Wharton was the inspector for a home I am looking to buy and I can't recommend him enough. He exceeded my expectations as much a possible. Every question I asked resulted in a detailed explanation of what I wanted to know, and he was never annoyed at me asking so many questions, and I definitely did. I am an engineer and it is in my personality to need to know about every little detail. About 15 minutes into the inspection, after about my 10th question, I started to wonder if we'd ever get through it, since it was scheduled from 1 to 4, but he was not in any rush for time whatsoever, and ended up leaving at 5:30, not because he was slow, but because of his thoroughness to educate me on so many things, and because I asked so many questions. Now, I should say, some people might think Glenn is long-winded, but I personally like to geek out on any topic that is interesting to me, and Glenn is certainly willing to do so if that is your thing. However, he only talked at length when I asked about things, otherwise he would make a clear explanation about whatever it is that he found, what should be done about it, what happens if you don't do it, and even draws a lot of parallels and cites examples from his own home buying experiences. I've heard from lots of people that inspectors will come in pretty much tell you your house is going to fall down because of some stupid things. He is not that guy. Straight shooter, honest, tell it like it is. Doesn't sugar coat anything and doesn't exaggerate anything. His website says 6,000 inspections, he's actually done over 10,000. As you can see I am long-winded myself, but I got the impression that Glenn would work quietly if you are someone who doesn't care about the details and just wants to know if there's anything wrong with the house you are planning to buy. I have worked on houses before as odd jobs when I was younger, so I've always thought I knew a decent amount about home construction an an inspector wouldn't tell me anything I didn't already know, but I am glad I got this guy. He is the Dali Lama of home construction inspectors. Definitely recommend him, or if you can't use him, he is the owner of the company, so I'd have confidence in anybody he trusts to represent his company name.

These guys were great. The lady who set up the appointment was very nice and professional. She provided clear information and as soon as I mentioned Angie's List, she (herself) mentioned the coupon! The inspector (David Moore) was so friendly and professional. He did a great and thorough job, showed me around and answered all my questions (and I asked a lot of question!). Great company. Definitely recommended!

A thorough walk through of the house, function checks of plumbing, electrical, deficiencies of outside structure. Recommendations and instruction of simple routine maintenance that needs to be completed and how frequent.

T. I. P. was an excellent company to deal with. Mandy, the office manager handled setting up the appointment in a timely and professional manner, explaining all of their services and prices. She arranged for Jerry, one of their professional home inspectors to meet me at the prospective house for 9:am. He showed up on time and ready for action. He spent 4 and a half hours doing a very thorough inspection, showing me discrepancies and answering questions Ina friendly and expert manner. After the inspection, I was sent a line by line report that I was able to show the seller and negotiate for some repairs to be made and a credit on the contracted price of the house. I was very please with the result and confidence on purchasing this house knowing where all the discrepancies are. This was a 32 year old home so the list was very extensive including minor flaws that I would be able to tackle as a home owner.
