Response from HouseCheck
All of this boils down to an AC problem. At the time of inspection, the AC system was performing within norms and had no visual issues. One year after my partner inspected the home, the buyer had a problem and called out a tech. The tech found an an issue inside the unit with an issue that could not have been found by a General Home Inspector. Our license act bars us from disassembling the unit or conducting certain tests for which you must have an HVAC license. When discussing this with the buyer, she did not want to hear that we are generalists with a license act that prevents us from conducting full HVAC service. She also did not want to know that we did not personally warranty all systems in the house after an inspection. FYI: That is the purpose of a Home Maintenance Warranty. HMWs are traditionally purchased by a seller for the buyer at the time of close.

Description of Work: I had a complete home inspection performed as well as a Termite Inspection. I was in the process of purchasing a home and needed a home inspection. I have to say I was quite pleased by the efficiency as well as the professionalism from the time I called to make the appointment to the time I actually met with the Inspector. A gentleman by the name of David Smith performed my home inspection. He was extremely professional and made sure I had all of my questions answered. I would recommend highly.
