Description of Work: Both on my experiences with Texas Inspectors was eye-opening, educational and just awesome. I met Glenn when inspecting one home with many problems. He took the time to explain the ins and outs of the issues with the house. The first challenge of the house was a sewage line that had backed up into the first floor bathroom! Ugh! The stench was awful, not to mention the eye sore!! Glen saw that mess, reviewed theories about the issue and myth busted any of the house's owner explanations/excuses for the sewer problems. He took me aside and asked for my permission to give me his honest opinion. I saw his professional side but also saw the side of Glenn that makes him an asset in home buying; he cares about his job and his clients. He opined not to invest in that home and I terminated that contract. Two months later, I'm sitting in a different house that Mike (also from texas inspectors) inspected. I'm very glad to have taken Glenn's advise on the first house (turns out the issue is still there and the owner jacked up the price in the house even after the sewage issue!!). Mike inspected my current home before I bought it (Glenn was not available). My experience with Mike was very similar. We walked through the house after he had already inspected the majority of it, explaining all the nuances of the house as we went. He was just as thorough and frank in his inspection. This was my first home purchase and both Mike and Glenn were instrumental in the process. I was overwhelmed with the thought of the inspections but they made it the best part of thr home buying experience.

Description of Work: Mike from TIP was fantastic. He was very professional and very upbeat, and made sure to explain everything he inspected so that a layperson could understand. We would definitely recommend Mike and TIP and will use them again in the future.

Description of Work: Home inspection and VA termite inspection

Description of Work: This was a home inspection prior to purchase. The experience was great from the very first contact with the receptionist, who explained in detail what would be done, cost, etc. I was in a hurry, as I had to leave to pack up my house in another city, and they were very nice about scheduling right away. Mike was very professional and explained everything he was doing, what his findings were, etc. He is also certified to do termite inspections, so I had that included in the inspection. I had looked at other A rated inspection companies on Angie's List and some of them were almost twice as expensive. He did a wonderful job and e-mailed me the complete report later that evening. I was able to use it to get the seller to remedy some of the problems in the house. I will also use it for ongoing improvements. My realtor was also very impressed and said he would suggest other of his clients use them in the future.

Description of Work: Glenn came to do our inspection before we purchased a two year old home. He was very thorough and checked everything. The report was well written and was delivered the same day via email. The inspection took about 3 hours. He was great about me, my husband, and my dad following him through the house as he showed us all the necessary fixes. The only problem I had with Glenn was his professionalism. He was absolutely wonderful aside from the fact that he used quite a bit of profanity - even in front of my 12 year old brother who was present.

Description of Work: Glenn and Mike came out to inspect a home we are purchasing. They did a phenomenal job looking at all the details while also explaining things to us the entire time! Great information and very thorough. I would definitely recommend them, especially to first time home buyers.
