+ -1 moreOur central A/C quit with a bang, literally. (I don't know WHY it failed; it was only 26 years old!) Since the weather was pleasant, I had the opportunity to research and to obtain three bids. I contacted the company that had maintained my system for 20+ years plus two companies from Angie's List. Hillcroft A/C had cared for my system since we moved into this house in 1983. (Unfortunately, the man who looked after my system died a couple of years ago, and I no longer received the twice-yearly notices for maintenance.) The estimator provided my first estimate, and he did it immediately after checking out my current system and cooling needs. I choose a different contractor based partly on price.
