+ -1 moreCalled owner again and after much delay (and a bit of butt-dialing me) showed up. He only said he could call the manufacturer of the switch. Decided to cut my losses and get a real electrician as concern about the safety of the work seems real.
Description of Work: After much delay two "electricians" showed up. They seemed fairly clueless and focused on a breaker that was not even for the area I was having trouble with. If I had not stopped them I am sure they would have replaced it. After messing around with outlets even though I told them it was the electical power to the chandelier they finally settled on a dimmer switch as being the problem. I was so uncomfortable with their seemingly cluelessness that I called the service back and the person I had been speaking to came out to double check. The switch was replaced for $330 but the next morning all was out again. Calls ensued and delays getting someone out. The owner said he was coming but sent one of the same guys from the day before. I was out but husband got to see him in action and expressed same concern that he did not seem to know what he was doing. When I got back I discovered that there was a delay between the time the switch was toggled and the lights coming on.

+ -1 moreI called them because of their familiarity with what needed to be done. We set a time (8am) and when they did not show. I called at 9am and was told that they had forgotten and would be there in 15 minutes. I told him never mind I was on my way to work and I would find someone else.
Description of Work: nothing, they did not show up
