The price started out at $400 and went to $500 so the pricing went up. He didn't do an excellent job but it was an okay job. There was a little bit of a gap in the back because of the way that he put it in. It was a small job. He came when he said he would come. He didn't stop the work until he completed the job. I would probably not use him again.

He removed some burglar bars from one of my windows and hauled it away. He was finished in a matter of miutes. I have several other jobs, large and small, around my house that need to be done, and I will be callong on Mr. Gonzales in the future.

Overall, everything was very good. Even though he did great at the first job and I was happy with the work he did, I probably won't call him again because he never followed up with me on an estimate for another project I wanted to use him for. If he doesn't have time or want the job, I would have liked for him to call me back about it to let me know. The first time he came out he was friendly and professional the first time he came out.

We started with a small project but we are still using him because he has done a great job. I recommend him because he?s been honest, trustworthy, and competitively priced. He goes to get what I need and brings the receipts back, he doesn?t overcharge on materials, and he gives a good bid right up front. His work has been great for what we needed.

I completely trust Alvaro. His workmanship is excellent and have been recommending him to friends for years. He's helped us out for over 3 years now. He is very trustworthy and takes pride in his work. You can always trust Alvaro to do the job right - I don't have to oversee him. He is very smart, resourceful, and makes great suggestions. He knows how to solve any problem. He is an excellent handy man. I am still using him and probably will for years. I've handed him my house keys and gone on vacation for a weekend before. I fully trust him. He even thanked me for my trust and he even said he was honored that I trust him like that. I have a mahogany wood front door, he sanded, stained, and sealed it - it was a 3 day job in middle of summer. He charged me $300. He installed kitchen backsplash for my kitchen, complete with field tile and accent tile, lot of outlets and light switches... charged me $400. He installed french doors (drywalled doorway down & framed with molding) charged me $400. Installed a door (drywall down and framed) charged me $100. He framed in in my windows with molding, charged me $90 - for over 10 windows, even one arch too. His prices are fair. I will call him today and he will be by tommorrow (or even same day) and finish it very quickly. Like I said, I just give him my keys, he locks up, and hides the key for me. The work is completed when I come home from work. His quick response may be because I've been using him for over 3 years. I hire Alvaro for all my handy man needs. I save up all the honey-do's around the house and then call Alvaro. Better for my marriage cuz I'm not nagging my husband to do it, and better for us because he's not spending a weekend sanding a door or installing tile - instead he spends that time with us as a family and we can go to the pool, mini vacation, museum, park. I'd rather have a husband & father that is there for us instead of a guy that does things around the house. So great for our marriage to hire a regular handyman - prices are very affordable. I highly recommend Alvaro, he's not on Angie's list, but I'm going to put him here because he is THAT good. I've had other contractors comment on his carpentry work - framing in wall mirrors, windows, doors, baseboards. Some one off handed commented that I have a really good carpenter (referring to Alvaro).
