 + -1 moreJust OK. The fence (once it was done) looks very good, but the mailbox is not as good. They just painted it hurriedly, without doing any prep. It's already flaking off. The other issue was communication. They were supposed come out on a friday morning and didn't make it out until the following week. We did receive a call, but not until the monday following the friday, letting us know they would be out later that week. I expect a call same day or before it they cannot come at the appointed time. Not a big deal as this wasn't a broken A/C or anything, but it does speak to professionalism and punctuality. Once completed the work was generally done well on the key portion of the job.
Description of Work: We contracted Gulf Coast to weld a few spires on our fence, paint it and paint our mailbox--which is an old iron version. The fence is as iron fence as well - just a large swinging gate in this case.

Description of Work: Mr. Richardson was one of 3 companies I consulted about a wrought iron security gate. The best company in my area is American Fence in Dickenson, but when they told me it would take 3 weeks to build the gate I went with Mr. Richardson. He told me I would have it in one week; his quote was $500 more than American's. After I gave him a check for 50% ($2,100), I did not hear from him for 5 weeks, but he did finally deliver. We did experience Hurricane Ike in the interim. His company is really called Gulf Coast Fencing; Gulf Coast Fence is another (very reputable) company located in Texas City. He was not honest about several things, so I would not hire him again.

 + -1 moreBusiness representative did not come at any time on scheduled day to provide me with estimate for installing a new iron gate and never called to cancel or explain failure to arrive. I remained at home expecting the scheduled meeting. Same person called 3 days later to schedule a time to come by for an estimate and never mentioned failing to keep the earlier appointment.
Description of Work: No work done.
