Great Priced Granite

At first not so good. This was several years back. A new woman was hired to coordinate installations. The work I requested was not completed and the scheduling personel became very defensive when questioned, although i am the customer. Long story short, the owner became involved and corrected the situation. Would have given a five star had the scheduler been polite and not defensive.

So let me preface this by saying, they did offer the best price. I think I compared them with four different companies and they truly did have the most competitive price. Also, the slab they helped me pick out is beautiful. They were communicative from the very beginning, great with email (which I appreciated), and they were able to do the install over the weekend. Finally, their reviews on Angie's List were great. Going with them seemed like a no brainier. However, the day of the install was extremely frustrating. I was told they'd arrive at 9:30am and they didn't show up until over three hours later. I get that jobs like the typically run late. I am a flexible person, but three hours late is ridiculous. I tried every number I had on file for this company and no one ever called me back. After an hour and a half, I finally received a phone call from a man telling me he's 20 minutes away. After another hour had passed, I called that number back to see where he was. He said he was ten minutes and then didn't show up till another half hour later. At that point I felt like I was being jerked around. The two gentlemen who arrived didn't speak English very well which then contributed to more headaches. I was unsure what they were asking and was unsure why they were leaving me with a leaky pipe. Part of the project was to remove a wet bar sink and plumbing. I had read "plumbing" on the estimate and understood that to mean they wouldn't leave me with a leaking pipe. Again, these two gentlemen did not speak English well and my Spanish is bad, so there were communication issues. I understand they are just the messengers, but I felt frustrated with the company for leaving me with no one to speak to that day, not even by phone, who was an English speaker. They then left the house. They then returned asking for the check, which I had forgot to give them, because I was so upset about the leak. I told them as best as I could to please have their boss call me, because I had questions. I then checked my email history and remembered that they said no repairs if there are leaks. So that was on me for forgetting that part, but again, I would have loved to been reminded of that by someone who was able to communicate with me that day. So they left again and I had to ask my neighbor for help. The workers then returned a third time, but with wrenches in their hands. I then realized that these guys TOOK THE LEFTOVER GRANITE WITH THEM. I asked them what they did and they had the audacity to tell me it was trash. I demanded they then return it. They were walking away with two sizable pieces of granite with them and tried to tell me it was trash? Like **** the company wasn't going to try to make money off of the leftover slab I paid for. So with the help of my neighbor, they were able to help resolve the leak. I then wrote them a check and hope to never see these guys again. It was a frustrating experience. I want to like them. I am a flexible person. If you are running three hours late, that's fine, please just call me with updates. Don't call an hour and a half later, lie to me about when you're going to show up, and then lie again. If you're going to send me a non English speaking team, that's perfectly fine, please just give me a good number to reach someone in case there are problems. Finally, don't try to run off with the leftover material I paid for and then try to tell me that it's trash. I admit the leak part was a misunderstanding on my part. They did clarify that in an email a few weeks back, but the communication problems could have been avoided if someone was there to remind me.

Granite was cleaned, sealed, and looks great. The technician removed water calcium buildup behind the kitchen faucet with a razor blade.

It went perfectly. I couldn't believe how fast they worked. They replaced two bathroom countertops in one afternoon. It was efficient, careful, good clean-up, and looks great. This is perfect for just switching out simple linear countertops without disturbing the cabinetry etc. at a competitive price.

After Hurricane Harvey, all the construction industry is busy. The prices were good and the desire to do a good job is first with GPG. On Time and with courtesy. Wonderful for them to complete the plumbing. Good Company and will use again.

He never appeared at the house at the reserved time! Wasted several hours.

I've used them a couple of times, like 10 or 12 times. I had a fourplex that I remodeled. They've done Travertine back-splash for me before, and all that. They do great work. It's like $15 a foot plus $100 a cut. They provide a great service for a great price.

Very well, came and measured one day. Installed a few days later. they were done in 3 hours.

I have to say, long story short, I already had granite guys lined up to install. I took off of work to be home when they were there. They did NOT ever show up with my granite and when they called, they yelled at me for being mad about their no-show! Immediately fired them and called Great Priced Granite. They practically matched the prior price for services, and had Mauricio and Lupe at my house the very next morning, with MY granite from the granite yard. They did the bathroom install, and they did a fantastic job! I will NEVER use anyone else again, and I will refer them to all of my friends,and friends of friends, and even strangers! The job took 3 days. Marco and his son took their time and were very precise. We are very pleased with the result. I would use this company again without reservation.

Not well - went to review the project on completion and found they had damaged the wood floor outside the bathroom - it appeared they had dropped tools (they re-installed the faucets). This is when it got interesting. The works denied they could have damaged the floors - since I had not taken pictures prior to them starting the work it was my word against theirs. The owner said the pictures we sent of the damaged provide nothing and he sided with his workers. My cautionary tale - take pictures of the area the workers come in contact with - and get to sign so you have proof.

I loved the finished product. The prices were fair and I would definitely recommend this company. The 2 men who did the work actually completed the job earlier than expected. Couldn't have been nicer employees.

Bought an Angie's List deal, and the job went even better than I expected. Installers arrived a little early and got straight to work removing 30 year old formica tops, sinks and faucets. I expected more damage to the area around the tops just due to the age of the vanities but there was little damage. The granite was cut on site and installed along with new undermount sinks and my newly purchased faucets, and the result was perfect - no snags, no issues, and the area was cleaned up well. I have been slowly upgrading the bathroom over the last couple of years, and have had a hard time deciding on granite versus quartz versus laminate, colors, etc., and just what constituted the best value for my 35 year old townhouse. Great Priced Granite was offering an Angie's List Deal for $349 for a granite vanity top, and had great ratings, and I finally decided to go for it and bought 2 when I saw they were offering a color (Tea Brown) that I liked. The measurer came out with a sample which was great, as I could see it up in the bathroom, rather than just in a showroom. When it was finally installed I was worried that too much gray came through instead of the brown, but it changes according to the light source, and it really works great in my bathroom so I'm very happy with the choice. All in all, it was a good experience, and Sarah in the office was very patient with my questions as we got it all scheduled. I will definitely consider Great Priced Granite when I get around to redoing my kitchen in a few years.

Two appts: one to measure spaces and show me samples of granite, the next to install. Installation was professional and performed in a reasonable amount of time with adequate prep, demo, and clean up. My only complaint was that the Angie's List coupon seemed like it included hook up of existing plumbing to new sink (sink installation, to me, implies some plumbing), but intead I had to pay an additional fee (per sink) for hook up. Although I paid more than I thought I would have to, the new countertops look great and there were no other problems.
