Graceful Moves Moving Co.

There were three men and they were friendly and courteous. One of them was stuck in traffic and showed up an hour after the first guys. They drove an unbranded truck, formerly a linen service truck, which was leaking oil and stained our new driveway. The truck was equipped with a Tommy Lift at the rear. They had plenty of moving blankets, tape, shrink wrap, and dollies. They tried their best to pad and wrap our furniture, but unfortunately, many things were scrapped, dented, and scratched. Our king-sized hybrid mattress was severely damaged and we are trying to get Serta to determine why the memory foam delaminated. Apparently, hybrid mattresses require special handling when being moved. Our guest room queen-sized mattress was dragged around in the truck and I am still picking splinters of wood from the side of the mattress. They were not terribly careful by the end of the day, probably getting tired, and there are several scuffs on our new hardwood floors. I was especially wary of moving things around on the hardwood floors and discovered several pieces of furniture (bookcases, etc.) had their plastic feet torn off after being dragged around in the truck. Finally our antique oak dining table was damaged when they strapped it to the wall and put too much pressure on the leg assembly, thus tearing the threaded inserts out of the bottom of the tabletop. I will have to repair it. Would I recommend Graceful Moves? Not if you have nice furniture and care about it being damaged. If you have dorm room leftovers and don't mind a few dents and dings, then go ahead. I would not use this company again. I have not turned in a claim for any of the damage, since this is such a small company, I doubt that I would be satisfied or compensated for my ruined mattress.
