+ -1 moreMr. Gonzales and his crew arrived when agreed - his brother supervised and they raised the addition some 5 inches. The cleaned up nicely afterwards. His price was 1/4 of what one other contractor had quoted. This was not a techically difficult job - but surprisingly few foundation companies seem to want to do anything on pier and beam older homes.
Description of Work: I have a rental home that has a room addition added about 30 years ago. It is what was called then a "western room" and is constructed not unlike a house trailer - there is alluminum siding and windows, an accoustic tile ceiling and the whole thing is raised on pier and biem about 18 to 24 inches above ground. There is a brick fireplace at the end of the addition farthest from the rest of the house. The entire room had begun to sink toward the fireplace. The drought in Houston this summer only made the situation worse.
