GILBERT'S TREE SERVICE

Our house had a great deal of branches resting on the roof. We also had 2 small trees which were originally planted right next to the house. The tree branches needed to be cut back, and those trees needed to be removed. I also needed all items to either be removed by the tree service or it needed to be packaged and set on the curb for trash pickup. Pedro came out, gave me an estimate of the cost as well as his suggestions so that the trimming would look natural. Pedro and his team came out when they said. They performed the work at the estimated price given. Pedro even went up and above and cut branches which were hanging on the garage. The cleared away all of the debris. Very professional, I will certainly contact this company again.

Gilbert was a pleasure to work with. Had 3 different bids ranging in price from 650 - 1200 all from providers on Angie's List. Went with Gilbert based on price and his good scores. Date of service slipped a couple of days due to weather an delays on his other jobs. Not an issue for me though. His work was very good. Trees look good. He cleaned up thoroughly prior to leaving. All the work took him around 7 hrs. I would definitely call him again in the future.

Pedro arrived a little early, and called to tell me he was on site. His price was a little higher than the two other bids I got, so he didn't do the work.

Pedro and his three man crew did an excellent job on cutting down the trees, and cleaning the site. First they had a very reasonable bid. After we agree on the price they were able to start the job very soon. During the process, they did several small additional work without charge. Pedro is very polite. He is very careful about the complicated wires we had in the backyard. Observing his work at my yard, my neighbor asked him to trim the trees as well on the same day. Excellent quality at a great price. I would recommend them to anyone who needs tree services.

They were good and quick. They were reasonably priced. They came on time from what I can remember. They got rid of everything.

The team leader bid the work on the previous Thursday and arrived on Saturday morning ready to work. They completed the job in several hours, I was pleased with their work, they cleaned up the yard, and left for their next job.

Very well. The job did not take nearly as long as I had anticipated. They arrived around 3pm and were done by 7pm.

Wow. They are so professional, prompt, and reasonably priced. We were doing yard work while they worked and the extra guys didn't just stand around, they helped us with our yard work and didn't charge for it! They trimmed a palm tree for me for free, just because they had extra time. SO GREAT! I can't say enough good things about these guys, they have a customer for life and I have a reliable, trustworthy landscaper. Priceless!

Excellent. I was very happy because they were able to do this while I was at work. Took care of it when they said they would and took all the remains away

It went awesome. They honored discount, I was very pleased with their service.

Very prompt for initial quote and provided quote on spot. I called a couple of days later to schedule service and they started three days later. They started one day late because of mechanical issues with their chipper and the job took about 2 days longer than anticipated, but very happy with the results and with the crew. They cleaned the lawn and removed all debris. They left the yard looking great.

He never showed up or even called me back.

Made three appointments to come to house for estimate after Ike and failed to come or call to cancel on any occasion.

It went great. They came and took out the hanging branches that day so we didn't need to worry about them falling on the roof. They were able to come out within a week to remove the tree and grind out the stump. They were very fast and cleaned up the area. This is the second time they have come out for tree service. Both times we have been very pleased with the work.

After Ike, I called the tree service company that we had used several times over the years to maintain and trim the tree (in fact, I called them before I called the insurance company!). They took my info and I never heard from them. So, after checking Angie's List, I called Gilbert's and they responded right away. Pedro came out that evening and gave me a fair price for removing the tree. They were extremely busy, but they came as soon as they could and removed the portion of the tree that was on my roof and then came back a week or so later and removed the remaining tree and ground down the stump. There was no easy access to the tree and every bit of it had to be carried down our driveway to the front of the house to be ground up (except for the nice pile of firewood they left us!). They left the area clean and tidy so there was no evidence of the tree removal in the front, which pleased me greatly. Pedro and his crew did a fabulous job and I cannot stress that enough. My only criticism at all is communication. We had to call them a couple of times after no-shows on their scheduled day. After waiting a day or two to hear from them, I then had to call them to schedule and/or reschedule appointments. It is ok if it is not possible to make the scheduled day - that happens - but it would be such a courtesy to let the customer know so that we are not stuck waiting and wasting time that we could better use. So this is the one area where, if they would make that small effort, their service would be darned near perfect.

Pedro is son of owner. He is the person that came out. He was very professional, gracious and brought a team of 5 workers and a mini bobcat to remove trees that had fallen on property. He was fair. The only negative was he made a commitment to a friend of ours with a tree in his roof after IKE and failed to show after three promises. One could excuse it due to the after IKE work level. I had him out after that and was grateful for his help.

It was great - he had to reschedule the original date, but it worked out. Very efficient, and the trees looked amazing afterwords. I had no idea how badly we needed them trimmed until he was finished. Left everything exactly where it was before they came. Great job!

They did a great job! They showed up on time and the trees look great.

Not well. I expect a contractor to keep appointments, even one that is just giving me an estimate.

Pedro met me at the house after I got out of work to find out exactly what we were asking for and give an estimate. He came back later that week, and his crew tackled the very overgrown bushes, shaped them nicely, and hauled the debris away. The house looked completely different after their work! They did a tremendous job!

Pedro came out the day after I called to give us an estimate. After listening to what we wanted, he walked around and gave us some suggestions. He was right on. They came back later the next week, on the day that they had scheduled, and did a GREAT job, for the exact price we were quoted. Very friendly, great service, and great work.

The receptionist was not professional and I had to give her my information several times. Afterward, I had a suspicion that I wouldn't get a call back, so I immediately called another tree service on Angie's List. I eventually got a call back late in the evening, but I told him that I was using another company.

They were wonderful! They cleaned up fabulously when they were finished and hauled away all the debris. They were professional and really knew about trees. They even made suggestions to one of our neighbor's trees to make it look better even though it was less work. I was very impressed. We even recommended them to our neighbor's down the street. If needed we would definitely use them again.

I left a voice message. Three times. Finally got a callback. They said they would look at my tree and make an estimate. Going on three weeks and I'm still waiting.

Contacted Gilbert's Tree Service and discussed my needs. Pedro Mora scheduled a visit to make an assessment and price. Very pleasant gentlemen to deal with. He and his crew removed 9 trees and ground all the stumps down to below grade. They also ground an existing pine tree stump down which had previously warped my lawn mower shaft. One tree in particular was very tricky due to a fork in the trunk which had part of the tree overhanging the garage, and the other over the neighbor's yard and garage and right up against the fence(crowded/tight quarters to work). They handled this tree (which did increase the overall cost) just fine. Afterwards, they cleaned up all debris remaining which resulted from the work.
