Pedro took down two 20-year-old pine trees that were starting to move my neighbor's driveway up because of their big roots.He also put in a small amount of grass where 1 pine tree was, and filled where the 2nd pine tree was with a Bradford pear tree I had purchased the previous day. He couldn't come the original day scheduled, but he kept me up to date on the phone instead of just not showin up.He came the next day with 2 other guys and did a great job!

Two of our neighbors came over and contracted them while they were working on our yard. People can see that they are a really good company and do quality work. They are reliable and we have used them a lot in the past. They are very fairly priced. They are a quarter less than other companies. We have been using them for our trees. We have been extremely pleased. I read everything on Angie's List about them. What I saw on the website was true of our experience. They go above and beyond with your trees and your lawn. The sod was perfectly laid. They followed every rule that I have ever heard. They removed the pre-existing sod and treated the soil. If you do a comparison of our sod with our neighbors; ours is far superior.

Called Pedro in the morning, he came to the house that evening, gave a great price for cutting down 2 trees. Crew came back next day, completed excellent job, great clean up. Highly recommended & will use them again.

Work was done efficiently with no damage to home, garage or surrounding plants. All debris was completely removed and surfaces cleaned as if the tree service had not been there.

Pedro and his crew were OUTSTANDING! They were a couple hours behind scheduled time, however, after the thorough work they did for me, above and beyond what was quoted, I can see why they would run long on a previous job. Due to the fact they were a little behind the scheduled time is the reason for the B rating for punctuality, however, overall these guys are an A+++ crew! Things went very well, Pedro's crew was fast, efficient and very professional. They did an outstanding job grinding the stump down, even lower than I expected. They finished by cleaning up all the loose debris. This company is the best by far that I have seen in Houston for this type of service.

I spoke with Pedro's office to schedule a quote for the following day. About 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment I called him and found out that he forgot. He was very apologetic and promised he would be early next time. He arrived as stated for the quote and provided a competitve price. The weather that day was wet and the job he was working on at the time was on hold because the heavy machinery he was using would mess up the client's yard, so he asked if I wanted to start that same afternoon. Uh, yes please! The team arrived about 2 hours after the quote and got to work. They finished about 75% of the job that afternoon and came back the following morning at 8am to wrap up. We got a solid 8 hours of work from his team. Pedro was always in constant communication with me to ensure that certain things were performed to my satisfaction. One example was that one of the crepe myrtles was younger and shorter than some of the mature ones, so he asked if I wanted to trim it back as it was the year before or to let it grow out and match the height of the others. He threw in some random clean up as well, such as removing some invasive trees from bush areas and clearing leaves from flower beds (big bonus in my book). Pedro recieved a big job from our next door neighbor who was watching the work on our property. The service was fantastic, communication great, and price reasonable. We already spoke about performing the spring mulching and some minor landscaping services. I would hire Pedro again without hesitation.

They did a phenomenal job. They did not leave one leaf or limb in my yard. I was thoroughly satisfied with their work and professionalism. I have already given him one referral from a neighbor.

Pedro & his crew did excellent work. Although initially he was late (& failed to call me), once they arrived they worked like a extremely well-oiled machine. For about two hours, they cut, chipped, ground, mulched & cleaned. They not only ground the stump, they used the grinding machine to eliminate the exposed roots near the stump, leaving a smooth layer of mulch just high enough to account for settling (about 3 inches). In addition to safely & efficiently removing the tree, they removed almost all other debris (primarily needles & cones), which left the removal site very clean & neat. I highly recommend these guys.

I called for an estimate, got his wife. She took my information and Pedro called me back within the hour. I arranged a time for him to come out for the free estimate. Pedro came out and quoted me a price which was reasonable. He was busy and unable to come back as soon as I needed but he set us up with his brother. He came out the next day. They worked in the drizzling rain. They were very efficient and professional. We liked them so much that I'm having them to come back and build a fence/gate for my back yard.

Overall it was a great experience. Pedro provided a very reasonable estimate for the job and committed to schedule it to fit my schedule. His team arrived and just did an amazing job, especially the clean-up afterward. The yard looked GREAT and there was no trace of cut limbs, dust or leaves. I will definitely call on Pedro & team again when I need tree trimming, landscaping or yard work - they were great!

They mow and edge my yard. On several occasions they have trimmed my trees. All services have been satisfactory.

They were very good and reasonably priced. I was very satisfied with their services and will use the same in future.

The experience went well. They let me know beforehand that they could not make the original agreed upon date. They came early and were finished just after I got home from work. The work was great even though my wife did not like seeing people down on the deck furniture. I did not mind. It was hot out there and the pergola is shady.

Left a message for Gilbert's Tree Service and got a call back same day. He came out, surveyed my trees and I braced myself for the cost since I assumed the work would be difficult. I was pleasantly surprised that he only charged me $450 to trim 4 scrub oaks and 6 red tips whose branches had all intertangled with each other and the power and phone lines next to my property. We arranged for a tentative date based on his other customers, but he called and let me know it would not be that day, but a couple of days later. I have no problem with time conflicts as long as the contractor lets me know, so that was good. Since he was the one that would be directing his crew, I didn't feel nervous that my wishes would get lost in the paperwork translation, such as often happens when you use a large company. Sure enough, I got back on that Friday to find all my trees neatly trimmed, the branches no longer threatening all the power and phone lines, and my red tips cut down to a more manageable fence height of 6 feet. Hooray! There was no invoice left on site and I didn't receive one in the mail after a few days, so I took the initiative and called him to get his mailing address and send him a check for the agreed upon price. But I'm the type that likes to settle up my bills right away. Highly recommended, great personal contact, and they did great work.

Pedro came out and gave us a price to cut back a large tree and remove some shrubs and also cut the back yard grass. We agreed the price and the men arrived at the given date and worked professionally and promptly. I was very pleased with the end result and would have no problem recommending this company

I first used this company about 20 years ago and was extremely pleased then. Now Gilbert's son is running the company and he is just as great as his dad. I was delighted with everything. The dead tree is not only gone, it appears to have completely vanished with no trace! On time, and very reasonable. Couldn't be happier.

I could not have asked for more courteous and thorough people. Pedro Mora came over the same day I called to give me an estimate. Once we agreed on price he was available the next day. The tree was tricky (my opinion) as it was about 80ft tall and in an awkward position and between utility lines. Well, their experience showed as the gentleman made his way up the tree and carefully cut away at the heavy and rotting limbs. Afterwards, they also trimmed another tree and when I asked them to trim even further, Pedro did it willingly and efficiently. The clean-up was awesome. You could not have guessed that they had been there they left it so clean. Pedor discussed with me that the tree was dying and will eventually need to be cut (which I concurred). He gave me an estimate for the job; which I most likely will call when the time comes. I highly recommend them.

The water oaks had some clear stress going on, which first became evident from the big branches dangling over my roof. I called several tree services for quotes to trim the branches ($150), and alternatively to take the trees down ($1300). The gent from Gilbert's was thorough and professional, and their price was excellent. Fast forward two weeks, the branches are on my roof (lesson learned: don't wait!), no damage, and the trees are coming down. Another company with better pricing, next-day availability, and an Angie's List coupon worth 10% won the day. Gilbert's looks great though! Good luck to these guys.

They did a great job at a good price, and we'll be using them to remove two more trees later. The crew was experienced and they had the right equipment to make the work quick. They were careful, cleaned-up after themselves and did a few extra minor things at no additional cost. They also gave us a bid on removing 2 additional trees that seemed like a good value. My only comment on the punctuality was that they had booked a full Saturday, and I believe they confused my wife with someone else and switched our appointment with someone else. It was forgivable, but you might make some effort to confirm the schedule.

Pedro came out same day I called them for an estimate and arrived at the time we set up. He was very thorough in discussing what I wanted done and explaining to me a few other minor things they could do to help my other trees grow better and faster. I continued to get other bids but decided to go with Ranger's Tree company. They were not the lowest bid but also not the highest either. Pedro and workers arrived on the day and time we scheduled. They did any excellent job in removing the trees and cleaning up all the mess. They were very respectful of the rest of my yard and and trees. Pedro told me that I could pay them after I inspected the job and it was totally to my satisfaction. If there was something that I did not like they would fix it right then. Excellent work and professionalism.
