So far, so good. I will have to postpone the work due to a work conflict.

I would definitely recommend Pedro and his crew.

Because one of the oak trees in the front yard grows toward the house and the branches always sweep the roof, I decided to cut it down. I called many good reviewed tree services on Angie's list and Gilbert is the one gave me the best price so I had them help me to take down one very big (one and half floor tall I think) oak tree in the front yard and one Ash tree in the back yard. And trim the other two big big oak trees in the front yard. They also did the grind stump for us. I added $200 more to have him clean up the whole landscaping.

They were great and I'm time just a little higher bid than others

Gilbert's tree service did a great job trimming my trees. They cleaned up everything before they left. Only negative is that they were unable to come at prearranged time due to increased work in job before mine. Pedro did call to tell me that they wouldn't be able to come at the time we had agreed on.

Padro and his crew did an outstanding job removing, and cleaning the area in no time. Thank you so much. Will defiantly call on them again.

Pedro was very nice and his crew did a great job on my trees. He was on time for the estimate, quoted a good price, and even manged to fit our job into his schedule for the next day. He and his crew were on time for the job and even hauled away a junk pile of boards and tree limbs I had accumulated in my backyard. Overall, I was very impressed and will definitely call Pedro the next time I need my trees trimmed.

Pedro was a little late for the estimate and a little late for the work appointment, but he and his team worked quickly and carefully. They cleaned up after themselves very thoroughly.

We absolutely love the yard now and are extremely pleased with this company and their service. Trimming the trees was the first step of our yard renovation, and this experience has motivated us to do more. The yard was so overgrown with trees that I could not grow grass, and the trees dropped so many leaves that yard work was a major chore. The last time the oaks were trimmed, the guy butchered my trees, so I had been hesitant about getting them done. Pedro came out the same day we called to give an estimate, but then we had to wait about a week and a half before he was available to do the job. It was worth the wait. He came with a crew and he had the equipment to do a good, thorough job. He even had a truck to mulch the limbs. It took them about 5 hours to complete the work and then they cleaned up all the debris. They were very organized and completed the work in a logical manner. They placed safety cones to block off the area from traffic, and they used safe practices to ensure the workers were safe and the property was not damaged. Pedro did more then we asked and he made sure we were happy with the job. I would recommend them to all my family and friends.

Overall, It was a good experience. From the estimate to finishing the job he seemed professional, polite, and fair. The work was good quality.

We used Gilbert's Tree Service in fall 2012 to remove a few trees from our property and grind the stumps. We had two tricky situations where young oak trees were basically swallowed up by crepe myrtles. I wasn't sure anyone could get rid of the crepe myrtles without hurting the oaks, but these guys did so perfectly. We worked with Pedro, who was reasonably quick to respond with a quote, easy to communicate with regarding scheduling, and quite fastidious about the work. Pedro even helped my husband fix his chain saw while he was on site, which was very kind. We had Pedro's crew leave a lot of the wood for us to dry out and use in the fireplace next year, so that saved a little money since they didn't have to haul it away, and saves money on buying firewood next winter too! Their bids were definitely lower than some folks who provided an estimate. When I calculate the number of guys that came out and the number of hours they worked, I think Gilbert's pricing was more than fair. Gilbert's has all the necessary licenses and insurance, so you don't have to worry about being on the hook if a tree falls on your neighbor's car or something. Thankfully, Gilbert's is also good at what they do, so all our trees went exactly where they were supposed to.

Pedro was late for the estimate and late for the job! He came to my house to give me an estimate on Monday. His price was the best for the work I wanted done; he agreed to come the following Friday. I received no phone call giving me an estimated time of arrival, so I assumed he would either call or arrive sometime Friday morning. At 12:20, after hearing nothing from him, I called his number. A young lady said she would relay the message. Shortly after, Pedro called, telling me that he had an emergency tree removal at 6:30 that morning and he would come about 3:20. I understand that Houston traffic is a huge factor in travel time and sometimes certain jobs take longer than expected. But when I had not heard from him by 4:30, I left a message saying that I did not want him to come at all. He returned my call immediately, claiming he was almost at my house, but I had already wasted an entire day waiting for him and had other things scheduled for that night. Pedro was polite and courteous, but I do not intend to waste my time with this company again.

THey arrived on time, did the work in one day, checked with me to ensure that everything was done properly, performed some additional trimming after our discussion. The service was prompt and as promised. I was very pleased.

Pedro Mora was the name of the gentleman that came out and performed most of the work and supervised. He was very cooperative, professional, and helpful. I thought the pricing was very reasonable for this difficult job because both palms were very large. He was cautious in the removal process so as not to damage the rest of the yard or home. He and the crew thoroughly cleaned up the premises after all work was complete. I would highly recommend them.

All went well. Very quick. I was free all day so they fit me in when they had some free time. Would definitely recommend Pedro and will be using his service again.

I would without hesitation recommend Gilbert's Tree Service to anyone. Big jobs or small they have the equipment and trained personnel to do the job. They were professional all along the process from the initial call to the clean-up. They were very competitive in their pricing and at the same time professional in the actual work. We liked them so much that they are coming back in the Spring to give us an estimate on some landscaping.

From the first day Pedro came to give an estimate, we felt sure we were in good hands. He was always attentive and all work was done exceptionally well and in a timely fashion. Pedro always kept in touch and informed us of all developments. Pedro is a star and couldn't have been better to work with. Very accommodating

Everything went fine. They cleaned up all debris and removed the stump as requested.

Called them Saturday morning and someone came by that aftern to quote the work. (good - responsive) We set up a work date for ten days later. Problem: they did not show up on work date. After two hours of waiting, we called them and they explained they were out of town on a family emergency, and would call next day to reschedule. I don't mind a provider missing an appointment for a family emergency, but they should have called us. They did call the next day, showed up the following day and did fine work.

I was more than satisfied. They went above and beyond what we agreed on and I was very pleased with their service.

Pedro and his crew did an excellent job. We had a large limb hanging down in our pecan tree. Pedro tied it up so it would not fall on our power line until he could do the job (next day). He did a beautiful job at raising the canopy, thinning, and removing major limbs that were threatening our roof and garage. He also trimmed up two other trees.They removed all debris and swept the area. We definitely got our money's worth. We'll keep his contact information for future jobs and recommendations to friends and neighbors.

The receptionist that took my call requesting an estimate for a tree trim was very considerate, and had Pedro contact me that day. Pedro scheduled next day service, but rescheduled due to a personal conflict. He arrived next day and completed the service to our satisfaction for the estimated amount agreed upon. They were proficient in handling a big job on a 50 foot tall tree that needed thinning of limbs. We appreciated his expertise, and apparent experience overall.

Pedro came to the house and was able to give me a quote on the spot, though I had to call to request a written quote a few days later. I've had the trees trimmed in the past, so I had an idea of what would be a reasonable amount to do the work. I'd gotten three other quotes and one of them was nearly three-times as high as Gilbert's! For what I needed done, Gilbert's was not only the best price, but also seemed the fairest for the work to be done. Pedro called me the day before his crew was scheduled to confirm everything. Then, at 8:00 AM sharp the next morning, he and his crew showed up at my house and got to work. They started with the three trees in the backyard and then did the one in the front. I left them there at the house while my wife was home and went to my office. By the time I got home that evening from work, I'd expected that they'd still be at work, but they were gone. With the exception of the fact that the trees looked beautiful, it was impossible to tell they'd even been there. I didn't see a branch or twig on the ground under the trees, proof that they'd done an excellent job cleaning up the job site. Looking high up into the two large (40-year-old) oak trees, it was easy to see Gilbert's had gone to the very top of the tree to do their work. The canopy was raised; branches that previously we close to the roof were gone; deadwood was removed; and there was lots of sunlight reaching the lawn where it had been mostly shady before. Maybe I'll be able to get the lawn to grown there now! They even removed a couple of trees that were growing up against the side of my house at no additional charge, which was a nice "service-touch" to an already excellent experience. I don't know if I would have found Gilbert's had I not joined Angie's List. Their excellent reviews did a lot to make me consider them, but their reasonable pricing and Pedro's friendly demeanor went a long way to helping me feel more comfortable using them. I would say my experience with Gilbert's Tree Service was a 10 out of 10!

Gilbert's agreed to come out every 2 weeks. The first few times they came, they were very good. Since then their work quality began to get worse and worse. They would forget to bring materials to do necessary tasks. After that at least 4 times when we agreed for them to come, they didn't show up. We would call and set up an appointment for them to come and they guaranteed they would come out at a specific time and didn't show up. They did not even have the courtesy to even call when they would no-show. Once we called to ask about it, they apologized and rescheduled, but again did not show. Customer service does not seem important to Gilbert's. Would not recommmend Gilbert's at all.
