Absolutely awesome. I am located 5000 miles (and +15 hours) away and only able to communicate via telephone in the evenings. It is a rent house, and tenant was upset (obviously) with no water and no local landlord to repair. After contact by phone, Mike was able to go assess the problem and make the necessary repairs 2 days later, with only telephone contact and promise of payment. Mike was excellent. I wrote a negative review about Mike 3 years ago (posted here on angies list) and was not happy about that experience. But my rental manager trusts Mike and says he does good work, so I tried him again and was very pleased. He has now been recommened by three northside/Heights references I know and trust, and I must agree with them that mike is fair, competent, and very reasonably priced. I will use mike again.
Description of Work: A water pipe below the house broke while another contractor was doing some releveling work. With no money up front and only 1 day later, Mike was able to go assess the problem and make the necessary repairs. Another plumber over the phone wanted $700 via credit card to do any digging to even assess the problem. I have not been back to the house nor seen the repair, but the tenant was extremely happy with the service, professionalism, and timely service.

Gave me a $200 quote for scope, stating it would take 4-5 hours to do properly. Did work in about an hour, it turned out that patch (slapped on inside of pipe from above, after commode removed) leaked a bit. Said he did the best he could, and to fix it properly would involve going under the house crawl space and probably cost more, like $500. Mike was recommended to me as a guy who goes under the house and goes the hard work, he seemed to want the easy money and priced the job more on the neighborhood I lived in (Woodland Heights) rather than the job itself. Not happy that he said 4-5 hours and left in under an hour, knowing that I would not be home and that my wife would not confront him.
Description of Work: Replaced old valve on water heater; removed commode and patched leaking cast iron sewer pipe with plumbers putty.
